Chapter 1
"They say that me, Prince Nicolas of the Kingdom of Lystera, has a perfect life. It sure looks like it, huh? Seemingly supporting family, great friends, life in luxury, good grades, skilled in magic and combat. I do look like I am ordinary, I am okay, I am absolutely perfect.. right? Well, when they say that, they're wrong. I lie, I am so very far from ordinary, from okay, from perfect. But no one sees that, because it's all on the inside, I hate.. myself. I hate being stuck in a body that itches, that burns. Why? Because this isn't who I am supposed to be.. This is the life of my mask.. Of an outstanding Prince of a successful family.." Nicolas began writing in his journal on the first day back to the academy after the summer. "Yo! Prince Nick, how ya doing, dude??" A voice called out, snapping Nicolas out of his thoughts. He looked up to see one of his best friends, Sabian. "Hey bro, the same old, same old, just doing royal duties.. How was your summer?" He replied. "Oh it wasn't too eventful, just some farm work and my father criticizing me for my passion for magic.." Sabian said. "Sorry to hear that buddy.." Nicolas mumbled as the bell rang. Before he entered class, he looked to his right to see a new student it seemed.. A fallen angel in a realm of all humans.. well.. except for Nicolas himself.. He picked up his journal and wrote, "This school year may have actually gotten a little interesting.." Nicolas looked back at her, softly blushing.. TO BE CONTINUED...
