Chapter 1 - Hot Guy, Hot Thoughts

The time on Dae-jin's watch read exactly 8:48 PM. He only spared it a quick glance as he rushed toward the address, still a few blocks away. He'd stayed late at work again – longer than usual – because money had been tight lately. University tuition and rent weren't cheap, even in the less flashy part of the city where he lived. He was doing everything he could to cover his tuition, just to stay enrolled in one of the top universities in town. It felt unfair how much he had to work just to survive – but really, what choice did he have?

This neighborhood, though...was a whole different world. It was the typical rich district you could find in any major city if you really thought about it. Dae-jin's stomach twisted a little.

" God, please don't let some arrogant prick open the door. "

He seriously didn't have the energy to listen to someone brag about how easy life was for them. When he finally reached the base of one of the tall buildings, he glanced at the intercom. Perfect...he thought, sarcasm heavy in his mind. He pressed the button for 6B and, once buzzed in, stepped into the elevator. The building looked exactly how he'd imagined it: expensive rugs, designer lighting, and massive glass windows that probably cost more than his entire apartment. And this was just the lobby.

When the elevator dinged at the right floor, he sighed deeply and stepped out.

"Please don't be a jerk," he kept repeating in his head. Then he knocked on one of the doors.

It opened quicker than expected, and a tall, lean guy stood in the doorway. His hair was messy, and his clothes looked casual – but definitely not cheap. Dae-jin suddenly felt a bit self-conscious about what he was wearing: just a plain black T-shirt and some torn jeans. And not "fashionably" torn either. More like "can't afford new ones" torn. Still, he could probably pass it off as style if anyone asked. His light brown hair was just as messy, sticking slightly to his forehead from sweat – he practically sprinted here to make this delivery because he had to park a few blocks away.

- Oh, great. You brought the order? - the guy asked, raising an eyebrow with a lazy smile. His voice was a bit too deep for how he looked.

- Yeah. One extra-large pizza and three bottles of soju. - Dae-jin cleared his throat and handed it over.

| He seems..kinda nice actually. Maybe not every rich guy is a spoiled Fu*ker - he thought.

And then – something weird happened.

- Uhmm..Thanks, I guess. - the dark-haired guy said, eyeing him a little too long.

| Why the hell is this delivery guy so hot?Is that shirt low-cut on purpose? His collarbone's literally driving me insane. Just the sight of it – fuck.

Dae-jin blinked.

- I'm sorry – what?

- I said thanks. - the guy answered quickly.

- No...I mean, did you just say my shirt turns you on...? - Dae-Jin looked to the side, embarrassed.

- What? No. I just..thought that...Wait did you just..hear that?

There was a pause. Dae-jin stared at him, deadpan. They stood there in the doorway, the city noise humming faintly behind them. He didn't even realised how hard Dae-jin was clenching his jaw. He opened his mouth to respond, but the thought came first.

| He smells good. Like clean laundry and something expensive. Kinda masculine without trying.

The dark-haired guy eyebrows slowly rose.

- You..-he started, his tone somewhere between amused and surprised.

-Nope. -Dae-jin cut him off instantly. - Nope. We're not doing that.

He took a step back. And then another.

- You're literally running away. - the guy said with a smirk.

- I'm strategically retreating. - Dae-jin muttered through clenched teeth.

|Before I think something even dumber like how kissable your stupid smug mouth looks. - Dae-jin face went pale as he thought that. He even imagined taking the other guy's shirt off.

The rich guy eyes widened again.

- OKAY GOODBYE! - Dae-jin practically barked, already halfway down the hall.

- I didn't say anything. - the guy called after him.

- I KNOW. THAT'S THE PROBLEM!" - Dae-jin yelled over his shoulder, not slowing down.

- I'M JAE-HYUN BY THE WAY. - the guy shouted after him, his voice echoed down the hall.

As the elevator door slid shut in front of Dae-jin, he leaned his forehead against the cool metal wall, heart pounding.

" Cool. Amazing. Just mentally undressed a stranger during a pizza delivery and accidentally broadcasted it straight into his skull. Perfect night. Five stars."
