Chapter 10
Justine walked into the courtroom in a gray suit, no crown, no applause. The man who once ruled from a velvet throne now sat behind glass, jaw clenched, eyes hollow.
The trial lasted five months. The evidence was overwhelming—financial records, video proof, and the journal Mega had saved from Troy's secret room. Justine refused to testify. His silence spoke louder than words.
On the final day, Mega took the stand.
She looked him in the eyes, the same eyes that once gleamed with fake charm, and said:
"You taught me that silence protects power. I chose to break that silence… so truth could protect people."
The courtroom was silent. Justine was sentenced to 35 years in a federal correctional facility for conspiracy, fraud, and obstruction of justice. The charge of indirect involvement in his brother's death—still debated—remained under moral trial more than legal.
