🔹 Scene 1 – Digital Trails (Nina Investigates)

Setting: Nina's apartment, dim evening light

Tone: Focused, anxious, quietly determined

Nina sat cross-legged on her bed, laptop open, lit only by the soft yellow glow of her desk lamp. Her fingers flew across the keyboard — tabs open everywhere: social media profiles, mutual connections, even a shady background-check site.

She pulled up Leo's LinkedIn again.

Full name: Elijah Leo Morgan.

Two listed jobs. Two different city locations.

She clicked "Connections."

Scrolled.

There it was: a mutual follow. One she hadn't noticed before.

@amara_bello

She stared at the screen.

Her chest tightened.

They followed each other once. At some point.

NINA (whispers):

You've seen her before. Haven't you?

She clicked Amara's recent post.

One comment.

A heart emoji from E. Morgan.

Two weeks ago.

🔹 Scene 2 – Lies on the Tongue (Leo with Amara)

Setting: Amara's apartment, cozy, candlelit

Tone: Romantic → Tension

Amara curled against Leo's chest, wrapped in a fuzzy blanket. Rain tapped softly at the windows.

AMARA

If you ever ghost me, I'll hack your Spotify and replace everything with country breakup songs.

LEO (laughing)

You wouldn't.

AMARA

I would. Every. Playlist.

She kissed his cheek, but paused.

AMARA

Wait… random. Have you ever met Nina's boyfriend?

Leo stiffened.

LEO

Nina…?

AMARA

My best friend. You've seen pictures of us, right? She's always in my stories.

Leo's smile faltered.

A shadow passed over his eyes.

He stood.

LEO

Think I left my phone in the kitchen. One sec.

He disappeared.

Amara stared after him, her gut twisting. She didn't know why.

But something felt… off.

Scene 3 – Triggers (Nina's Flashback)

Setting: Nina alone, late night flashback

Tone: Emotional, vulnerable

Nina curled up in bed, phone against her chest.

She remembered the first time she met Leo — no, Eli — at that bookshop pop-up downtown.

He quoted something poetic. She smiled and said it was cliché. He smirked and said:

LEO (flashback):

Sometimes, cliché is just truth that got tired.

Now she replayed those words. Wondering how many times he'd used them. On how many hearts.

She whispered aloud.

NINA

Who are you really?

And who am I to you?

Scene 4 – Trail of Smoke (Amara gets suspicious)

Setting: Amara's studio, next morning

Tone: Subtle discovery

While cleaning her studio, Amara found Leo's hoodie on the couch. She pulled it up to her face — cedar and vanilla.

She smiled.

Then she noticed something strange.

A receipt in the pocket.

From a French bistro — not near either of their apartments.

Two entrees. Two wines.

Date: two nights ago.

A night Leo had canceled on her, claiming an "emergency server crash."

AMARA (softly):

…Who were you with?

She picked up her phone.

Searched: "Leo Morgan."

Nothing.

She switched to "Elijah Leo Morgan."

There he was — on a business networking profile.

And in the photo…

Nina beside him. Holding his hand.

🔹 Scene 5 – Collision Course (Three Worlds, One Path)

Setting: Split-screen style moments

Tone: Inevitable tension building

• Nina stares at her phone. She types and deletes a message to Amara three times.

She can't decide whether to protect her friend or burn everything down.

• Amara is on Instagram, scrolling through old tagged photos of Nina. She's trying not to believe what she's starting to piece together.

• Leo is walking into a coffee shop. His phone buzzes. Two messages:

From Nina:

"Hey, can we talk later? I just… have questions."

From Amara:

"I need to ask you something. Please be honest."

He sits down.

Hands shaking.

He looks out the window — sees his reflection. But for a moment… it's split. Like he's watching two versions of himself looking back.

LEO (to himself):

It's over, isn't it?
