Chapter 16 - Chapter 16

Everyone chose their ice cream. Basundhara picked the longest, thickest, shiniest popsicle at the fair, which surprised Sir a bit.

Silently, he wondered, "Isn't this a bit too big? People don't usually eat such large ice creams."

Basundhara held the ice cream and looked at Sir slowly, saying, "This looked the best."

Sir said nothing, just nodded briefly.

Basundhara slowly ran her soft tongue around the ice cream, then covered it gently with her tender lips. She took the cold ice cream deeply into her warm mouth. Startled by the chill, she closed her eyes softly and began to suck the ice cream lightly. As she put some into her mouth, her face seemed to fill up strangely.

She looked at Sir oddly while eating the ice cream.

Sir's eyes were wide open in surprise!

As Basundhara took the ice cream out of her mouth, the muscles in her face tightened a bit.

But she paused for a moment, then deliberately extended her rosy tongue and slowly licked the popsicle from base to tip. She circled her tongue around its top, then closed her lips around it, sucking sensually.

Her eyes stayed fixed on Anirban Sir with a naughty promise.

While teasing with the ice cream, Basundhara thought to herself, "Sir, this will take some time to finish, so don't run away!"

Anirban Sir looked somewhat bewildered. The girl standing in front of him—licking the ice cream in such a wild manner, as if it were not just food but a performance. His eyes got caught on the light play of her lips and tongue.

"Does anyone eat ice cream like this?" his mind recoiled. "So sensual!"

He had thought these were schoolgirls—little kids! But suddenly today, he felt—"No, these are not children at all." The fire in their eyes, the play in their words—it was no mere childishness.

"And if someone feels a bit strange or different seeing all this… maybe that's quite natural."

Suddenly, his chest tightened a little.

He cleared his throat and said, "I'll be back in a moment..." then turned away and walked off.

The girls burst out laughing together, as if they had been waiting for exactly that reaction.

Deepa whispered with a suppressed laugh, "Oh dear! Sir got shy and ran away!"

Madhu giggled, "Did you see? His face turned as red as a tomato!"

Tania pinched her eyes and said, "Seeing Sir get shy is kinda cute!"

Basundhara, with a mysterious smile on the corner of her lips, said a little seriously, "This is just the beginning. Watch what I do with him… I'll turn him from a wet kitten into a wild tiger!"

There was such confidence in her voice that the others fell silent listening to her.

Silently, evening is falling. The window curtain sways gently in the breeze, and the clock hanging on the wall shows almost seven o'clock. The light inside the room is soft, and a heavy silence seems to have settled all around.

Anurag Sir sits quietly. His face holds a strange expression, and his eyes seem to be searching for the answer to some invisible question. The whole day's classes, noise, and commotion — all seem to have faded away as if he has lost himself deep inside his own mind.

Just then, Anirban Sir enters from the next room, holding a steaming cup of black tea.

Anirban (extending his hand): "Here, some tea. Have a little."

Anurag Sir does not move. There is no response in his eyes.

Anirban Sir places the mug on the table and looks at Anurag's face with a bit of concern.

Anirban (slightly worried): "What's wrong with you? Your face looks so gloomy. Did something happen at school?"

He pauses, then asks anxiously—

"Did anyone at school find out that you drank last night?"

Anurag Sir shakes his head. His voice is soft and calm.

Anurag: "No, no, it's nothing. But… something is bothering me today. I can't get it out of my mind."

Anirban (frowning): "Tell me properly — what are you thinking about?"

Anurag Sir shyly replies, "It's nothing."

Anirban Sir insists again, "Come on, tell me."

Anurag hesitates, then lowers his eyes and says—

"Sneha. One of my students. She's very quiet. A very good student. But today she sat all the way at the back bench, hiding her face — she didn't even look at me. It was as if she felt uncomfortable just by my presence."

Anirban stops. Thinking to himself—

"Since the breakup, Anurag has never mentioned any girl. Now that he's teaching in a girls' school, whether he likes it or not, he has to start thinking about these things."

Anirban (slightly surprised):

"Why? Did you say anything to her?"

Anurag Sir lowered his eyes and whispered—

"Am I that bad? Does she think I'm immoral just by looking at me?"

Anirban was taken aback.

"What happened to this guy? Is he talking nonsense? Has he gone mad?" — he thought to himself.

Anirban (anxiously):

"What's wrong with you? Tell me properly!"

Anurag Sir, now with a bit of shyness and hesitation, said—

"Yesterday, when I went to take the class for that section for the first time, she was sitting on the front bench."

He stopped mid-sentence.

Anirban Sir asked, "Then?"

Anurag Sir, lost in thought, replied,

"She's a little… different."

Anirban (confused):

"What do you mean?"

Anurag Sir, feeling a bit embarrassed, said, "Nothing."

But Anirban Sir was worried. Getting into trouble over girls at school could cause problems.

So, he asked again with some insistence,

"What happened? Tell me!"

Anurag Sir refused, "Nothing."

Anirban Sir kept pressing—

"What happened? What happened? Tell me."

Anurag hesitated and then finally said in a hushed voice,

"Her face is like a child's. But somewhere she seems a bit more adult."

Anirban Sir finally understood the matter. He also felt a little embarrassed.

Anurag remained silent for a moment, then slowly added,

"My eyes just happened to fall on her, but it wasn't intentional. Maybe she noticed. Today she sat all curled up…"

Anirban now understood the situation and felt a slight discomfort.

In his mind, he saw Basundhara—the seventeen or eighteen-year-old girl, whose body shape easily attracts attention. So thin, yet with a large bust. The difference between her breasts and waist must be about ten inches. A thin waist, heavy chest, and curvy hips—altogether an unusual maturity. An extraordinarily beautiful hourglass figure!

Anirban (quietly and shyly):

"Some girls are like that."

Anurag said in a tone of frustration—

"I don't want any of my students to feel uncomfortable because of me."

Anirban grew a bit serious. He silently stared at the cup of tea for a moment, then said—

"Listen, Anurag, I've known you for a long time. I've never seen any lewdness in your eyes. You teach with focus and dedication. The students sense that. But…"

"…girls like Sneha may be fighting many battles within themselves—family problems, past experiences. Maybe it's not your fault. Don't blame yourself for everything."

Anurag Sir suddenly started thinking about Sneha's family and surroundings. A deep curiosity about her grew in his mind.

Slowly he said—

"Still, I don't want her to curl up like that in my presence. Just thinking about her feeling uncomfortable because of me makes me feel guilty."

Anirban listened quietly.

Suddenly, an afternoon incident came to Anirban's mind. How Basundhara had eaten ice cream in a strange pose, locking eyes with him, with a kind of suggestive expression. He blushed just remembering it.

Then he said seriously—

"Not all girls are innocent, you know. Some are very mischievous. They do things playfully which can cause big trouble later. Thoughtful and sensitive teachers like you have to keep this in mind."

Anurag Sir listened silently. Anirban Sir's voice carried a clear hint of today's experience.
