Chapter 4 - The Singularity Within

Chapter 4 – The Singularity Within

Sentry/Void/Tyler – POV

The Void.

One of the most feared forces in the Marvel universe. A being so powerful, so destructive, that even gods tremble before it. It tore apart the Hulk. It shattered worlds. It was chaos incarnate.

Now… it's inside me.

Hovering alone in the void of space, I extend my left hand. A small sphere of absolute black forms in my palm—wreathed in a subtle red aura. A piece of the Void. It's not sentient. There's malice, yes—raw negativity, hatred, despair—but no mind. No separate personality.

It's not a being.

It's my darkness.

A part of me. An extension of everything I keep buried deep inside. All my rage. All my sorrow. All my fear.

And it's mine to control.

With my right hand, I summon the power of the Sentry. A glowing orb of golden light appears—warm, radiant, pulsing with hope and strength. I feel power. Calm. Confidence.

I bring the two spheres together.

They resist at first—light and dark, positive and negative. The energy surges around me like colliding stars. Gold and black clash in a kaleidoscope of unstable color. Lightning dances across my fingers. Space bends.

But slowly, slowly, they begin to merge.

Power surges through me as the orbs condense—fusing into a single radiant mass. Not light. Not dark. Something beyond either.

A singularity.

> "This… will take time."

The fusion is too immense to complete instantly. It may take days, weeks, even a year. But already I can feel the change. My power is stabilizing. Becoming something greater. Something whole.

And with that wholeness… comes control.

I gaze down at Earth—our small, fragile home. Blue oceans. Green lands. Storms swirling over continents.

> "I can see it all. The good. The evil."

The cries of the innocent. The corruption festering behind closed doors. The blood on corporate hands. The terror wrought by men in capes.

I could fix this world.

No one could stop me.

> "Slave traffickers. Terrorists. Cartels. Supes."

All of them fall within my reach.

And I have time. One week until Robin is killed by A-Train. One week until the story of The Boys begins.

> "Might as well make use of it."

> "Time to become the golden guardian."

I glance at my reflection in the golden light—6'5", bearded, cloaked in radiance. The classic Sentry look... with some upgrades.

I'm not interested in the Death Seed redesign. Or the weird merged Sentry-Void look.

This is who I am now.

Not Robert Reynolds.

Not the Void.

Not even Tyler from Earth.

I am something new.

> The Golden Guardian.
