Several whisper engulfed the room as the Crown Prince exits with no further explanation. Those whom were not part of the Royal Council and those unaware to why the Second Prince was sent to the frontline began to whispers and doubt thinking on why? and how could the war expected to last for decades end in 2 weeks? Some say that the Crown Prince is sending his brother to death to secure his position and started to doubt his abilities. However, those who knew the Crown Prince and have been present in all decision making and meeting knew that the war rather than is ending will be ending. It will end in 2 weeks not because it is ending but because he said so.
"Your Royal Highness, you cannot just leave your vassal with no explanation" Hurrying Alexander one of Yuuan's closest aid and currently secretary chased him down to his quarters. A moment ago, A Knight from the frontlines arrived and requested an audience to the Crown Prince all while every Nobles were summon. The Knight carried a report from the second Prince and had announce the dire situation in the Frontlines and had said that in that state the war might last for decades. He also gave a letter from Yulo address to the Crown Prince.
'I am thankful for Your Royal Highness for protecting this innocence of mine for a long time and I shall forever be grateful and thus I shall take responsibility of this outcome. Thank you for indulging in this wishful thinking of mine.'
This made Yuuan frown and asked further the situation and was told that both the Knights from the East and Mages from the North were actively present at the war. They also said that their ration was falling behind both in food and weapons thus they cannot afford to make a single mistake nor can they be careless and impulsive. But as if falling into deaf ears Yuuan stood up and declared that the war will end in 2 weeks.
"Ready the preparations Alexander the war can no longer be delayed my patience is thinning" Yuuan said once again looking at some paper in his table.
"The nobles will not be happy with this Your Highness nor the King"
"I was given all authority in this war, shall someone questioned my decision bring them to me. I will not tolerate any more delay nor will let my people suffer meaningless death." Yuuan looked at Alexander filled with conviction and could no longer argue. He trust the Prince with his everything despite his unconventional ways for it is the truth that the only reason managed to fight back for a year is all because of his ways. Yuuan was the reason everything was a float. Yulo might have been swinging his sword and facing them head on but behind the scene what goes in their front was already filtered behind their back.
In fact Yuuan did have a plan that has already been set in motion and could potentially turn the tables. Yuuan handed Alexander the list of refugee from the East Dukedom and above all was refugee from the Kingdom of Northern Archipelago and on top of the names was Princess Halie - the last remaining royal of the Kingdom of Mages. Despite the shock Alexander kept his composure and thought 'the war will end'.
Kingdom of Mages was attacked internally and externally which led to their participation in the war happening but the biggest factor of all was the tragic lost of their Imperial Family in an accident which Yuuan believe was staged. The Princess however was locked up in one of the tower as per tradition and before they reached her, Yuuan was already a step ahead. However, the Princess being lost was not announced but rather the citizen was told that she was being kept in the tower. In preparation, Yuuan knew that Yulo was unable to go all out as because knew that Mages had no choice in order to protect their last remaining hope of the Princess surviving. He could've given a command but two weeks after departing Yulo sent a letter addressed to him.
'Your Royal Highness, I am writing this letter to inform my arrival and the situation of the East. Many resident have already left their homes and headed toward the South where they are given shelter. I along with the knightage I have brought along shall suffice including the people who walked here on their own to hold of our grounds. I however, has some concern I shall be bold with you. I humbly beg of you to grant benevolence to Mages of the Northern Archipelago. My promise and words to that day still stand and I along with everybody hear will follow you with no doubt if you ask for the enemies head along with ours.'
Alexander who first read the letter thought that how can His Highness ask for the enemies head and theirs yet grant benevolence to the Mages. It was not making any sense but Yuuan upon reading the letter smiled and said "He could've just called me brother"
'So I ask of Your Royal Highness, Crown Prince of Haxsen, please allow this innocence of mine.' Yulo was in fact informing the Prince that he do not wish to battle the Mages caught in between and will not do so however he knew that this will cause the battle to prolong and for them to be disadvantageous. Despite that he technically beg the Crown Prince to turn a blind eye for he is willing turn back of his belief shall the Crown Prince demand to.
Being reminded of the plea Alexander wrote out a letter and immediately sent it back with Knight along with a reminder that Prince Yulo must read it right away. Afterwards he looked at the envelope the Crown Prince handed him again and went back to the Throne Room to address the buzzing crowd of Nobles.
"Silence, I dare you to utter one more word of doubt." The people as if born with no voice instantly shut their mouths. Alexander was not a mere aid and secretary he was a cousin of the Prince and the son of the Northern Duke's brother. He was in fact eligible to for the throne and possessing both the bloodline of Haxsen from his mother and the bloodlines of the ancient protector no one in that room was more capable in handling the situation before it goes out of hand. " On behalf of the Crown Prince, the meeting for the war shall continue"
Whisper started to make its way again and no longer able to bear it they asked where is the Crown Prince? Alexander couldn't help but observe the people in the room looking all confused and bewildered. In his mind he thought that if faces have subtitles theirs would be ~ 'Was that really the Benevolent PERFECT Prince'
Alexander, Yuuan and Yulo were all candidates next in line for the throne however the reason why the other two was not chosen was not only because they decline but because of their trait. The citizen have dubbed them as the Three Future of Haxsen not only because of their standing as the next generation but because of the huge difference in their ways as well as talent. It was no doubt that each of them were very capable especially together but each of them also excel greatly in different field but also has destructive weaknesses.
Yulo was a great child that is like his brother is also above average when it comes to magic, swordsmanship, and administration. His swordsmanship can even be said to be on par with his brother and the swordmasters to exist in the East. He is also great in administration especially in handling the Knightage under him. A true commander that the Haxsen Knights all look up to. However, if he were to be the King in the future he would be too benevolent. His heart would crumble if put in a dire situation. He has the heart for his people but this soft heart of his would become the greatest weakness that people might take advantage of. It is said that a Kingdom led by him would center on its citizen but the status of the Kingdom might no longer matter.
Alexander on the other hand, being a child carrying prominent blood he does not fall behind in the three category and some might even say that his administrative talent are flawless however, if the second Prince has a soft heart, Alexander's would be too hard. Being part of the ancient protector from the North, his biggest priority is the well being of the Kingdom as a whole. Ensuring that it will survive by any means will be his biggest flaw. If he were to be the King the Kingdom will thrive but not all its citizen will walk the street wearing a smile nor some would remain with a beating heart.
Yuuan however was known to be the child who will paved way if none were to exist. As a child he did nothing but improve achieving greatness in all category. He was kind and empathetic but he was also logical and analytical. He would not fall for tricks and even handle it with grace. He knows how steal the heart of people around him but was always clear on the boundary of every action he takes. But above all a Kingdom led by Yuuan would not only thrive in power but also through its people because above all he was a child who make even the two of most opposite option meet half way and satisfy better than one could imagine.
That said they were the perfect team to lead the next generation of Haxsen however the Yuuan in front of these noble was not someone who scream understanding but rather one with aura of superiority and power.
Thinking of what about to go down Alexander lightly chuckled which caught everyone's attention. The confused face becomes more confused and the light chuckle becomes a sinister smirk. " No changed has been recorded in both delivery and production of foods and weapon since the violence bagan 6 months ago" He uttered with his smile slowly fading and eyes looking at the people coldly as he walk towards the sit of the Crown Prince.
Both his action and words put some people into confusion but those who remembered the words of the Knight that soured the mood of the Crown Prince turned pale in shock and fear not because they were in trouble of any sort but because the sentence 'Three Future of Haxsen' not only pertain to the 3 different future under their lead but rather because those three were meant to lead together and not separately for Yuuan Haxsen was indeed not perfect and has the most dangerous flaw of them all.
"Do you people know what His Highness hates the most" Alexander coldly utter with eyes as if dead looking at the crowd of nobles. The atmosphere instantly turned dark and cold. In front of them was not the Three Future of Haxsen but Alexander of the Ancient protector from the North. There was no Yuuan who remain calm and logical nor a Yulo that listen with a heart it was just Alexander, one dubbed to rule with tyranny.
" Magnificent, I say, Thanks to you my job just becomes easier. I have been wanting to pull out such weeds in the garden but was unable to because it was serving its own purpose. Amazing you really did attracted some noteworthy insects" Upon hearing Alexanders words members of the Royal Council stood up and left the room as if they were already aware of what was going on. They left Alexander sitting on the throne laughing madly in front of nobles shaking in fear and bewilder.
'this is why he, Alexander himself chose to aid whoever sits the throne and not accept both the position of the throne nor the North' The Duke of the North thought as he leave the Rooms glancing at the seemingly madman about to show the ruthless reality of trying to get in the way of what he the Crown Prince wishes to protect.
"Perfect comes with a responsibility" Those were the last words the royal council hear from Alexander along with screams and gasp.
"It was indeed a meeting for the war but not the one that began in the border of East and Robellius but rather in the Palace walls" The Eastern Duke, head of the Imperial Knights uttered.
