Chapter 2 - MEET

The city hummed with its usual evening chaos—honking vehicles, glowing streetlights, and tired footsteps echoing off pavement. Among the crowd walked Sakthi, a heavy-set nineteen-year-old boy with dark skin and deeper thoughts.

His phone screen dimly lit his face as he scrolled, not really reading—just distracting himself from the thoughts that clung to him like fog.

What's next...? Work? Loneliness? More fake smiles?

Even after finishing his higher studies, the world didn't feel any more welcoming. He had no family. No one waiting. Just a bag of food in his hand and a heart heavy with worry.

That night, something in him urged him to walk. Not just home—but somewhere quiet. Somewhere the world couldn't reach him.

He found his way to a small park, empty and shadowed under a sleepy sky. It was late, maybe past 10 p.m., but the idea of returning to his suffocating room made him keep walking. Soon, he made a decision.

"Maybe the beach… at least the sea won't lie to me."

---

Meanwhile, on the distant, glowing world of Gravitas, high above Earth's skies, the Supreme Lord sat upon his throne of cosmic winds. His gaze pierced time and pride alike.

The day had come.

Princess Vaishnavi, daughter of the Gravity King, stood before him in a shimmering chamber. Her long silver hair flowed like comet tails, and her eyes gleamed with defiance—even now.

"You shall be sent to Earth," the Supreme Lord spoke. "But you may take nothing from your life of luxury—only one dress to cover your form. Leave behind your jewels, your guards, your pride."

Her parents silently obeyed, gently removing her ornaments and belongings. Even her crown, which she once wore so proudly, was taken.

Vaishnavi stood quietly, strangely calm, as the chamber doors opened to her pod of travel—sleek and silver, floating in silence. With no more words, she stepped inside.

---

Back on Earth, Sakthi sat by the shoreline, waves brushing the rocks, wind licking his hair.

He stared up at the night sky.

"You know," he said to the stars, "sometimes I think I was born as a punishment. The way people treat me… the way life keeps testing me. Maybe I'm not supposed to be happy."

The waves answered in rhythm. The stars listened in silence.

Then—

BOOM.

A roaring sound tore through the sky. A fiery comet streaked overhead and crashed into the distant sea with the force of a falling mountain.

Sakthi jumped to his feet, his eyes wide. "What the hell was that!?"

Forgetting his fear, he sprinted toward the noise. The beach lit briefly with smoke and scattered sparks, and there—by the shoreline—he saw it.

A girl.

Half-submerged in shallow water, her silver dress soaked and torn, her body bleeding from the arm. Her skin shone like moonlight. Her features were otherworldly.

And she wasn't moving.

"Hey! Are you okay?!" he shouted, splashing into the cold waves. He reached her, pulled her gently into his arms. Her breathing was faint—but present.

Sakthi's heart pounded. "She's real... who is she...?"

---

The hospital lights buzzed faintly as Sakthi stood near the emergency counter, panting.

"She's unconscious and bleeding," he told the nurse. "Please help her!"

The doctors rushed her into a room.

Minutes passed like hours. Then, the doctor came out. "She's stable for now. Needs rest. The bill will come to about ₹10,000."

Sakthi's face fell.

"I... I only have ₹5,000."

He bit his lip, searching through his wallet, his mind racing.

That's when he remembered—his mother's old gold ring. The last item he had of her.

He didn't hesitate.

---

By morning, he returned to the hospital, a receipt in one hand and a soft hope in his heart. He rushed to the room.

She was awake.

Her silver eyes fluttered open as she looked at him, confusion in her gaze.

"You… who are you?" she whispered.

Sakthi smiled, still catching his breath.

"I'm no one important. Just someone who found you… falling from the stars"
