Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 : [7] : Kakashi and Might Guy

---

"But that's not fair."

Kakashi looked at Shin with a deadpan expression and said, "No wonder I could never beat you. Using something like a Kekkei Genkai is practically cheating."

Shin smiled and said, "Since when is a ninja using a Kekkei Genkai in battle considered cheating? But if you say so, then I won't use that ability for another match against you."

Kakashi was indeed a genius.

Although he also inherited the White Fang of Hidden Leaf's bloodline, Shin's talent in ninjutsu was indeed inferior to Kakashi's. However, this didn't prevent him from being stronger than Kakashi, because he trained more than Kakashi!

The effect of time acceleration was not only reflected in combat but also in training. Since transmigrating, Shin's training time has been at least double that of Kakashi!

"...No, never mind."

Kakashi thought for a moment, then shook his head.

A Kekkei Genkai was indeed an innate ability for ninjas, so it wasn't cheating. Even if he won against Shin without his Kekkei Genkai, it wouldn't mean much.

In the ninja world, there had never been a saying about not letting others use their Kekkei Genkai.

"But even with a Kekkei Genkai, you might not always be stronger than me. If you're not careful, I might still surpass you."

Kakashi looked at Shin without showing any signs of discouragement. After all, in the ninja world, Kekkei Genkai wasn't invincible.

The Third Hokage, Hiruzen, had no Kekkei Genkai, but his name resonated throughout the entire ninja world, and he was even regarded by Hidden Leaf's ninjas as the strongest among the Five Kage!

"Then I'll wait for you to surpass me."

Shin smiled and reached out to pat Kakashi's head, but Kakashi frowned and jumped away.

Just as Kakashi was about to complain to Shin about using such a childish gesture, a seemingly vibrant voice suddenly rang out from not far away.

"Ahhh! Kakashi, you're here! I've been looking for you for ages..."

Shin turned his head and saw a boy in a green jumpsuit rushing out of the bushes, his appearance almost instantly recognizable.

Might Guy!

The rushing Might Guy immediately disregarded Shin and leaped towards Kakashi, throwing a fierce taijutsu whip kick directly.

"Let's settle this! Kakashi! Take this! Leaf Hurricane!"

"..."

Kakashi looked at Might Guy with eyes devoid of dreams, somewhat speechless, and swung his arm to block, then countered with a side kick.

Might Guy received Kakashi's counter-attack, and endless vitality seemed to surge within him, saying, "This time I'll definitely win, Kakashi! Take this!!"

Bang! Bang! Bang!!

In an instant, Might Guy and Kakashi were engaged in a fierce battle.

Just as in the original story, Might Guy regarded Kakashi as his rival since their academy days and had been constantly striving to challenge Kakashi.

Shin watched the intense battle between Might Guy and Kakashi, shrugging his shoulders, then leaped onto a tree, watching as if it had nothing to do with him.

Might Guy, who could train the Eight Gates Release to the Eighth Gate, was undoubtedly talented in taijutsu. However, the current Might Guy hadn't learned the Eight Gates Release yet. Although he could suppress Kakashi in pure taijutsu, once Kakashi used ninjutsu and other means, the outcome would immediately become clear.

Crackling!!

Since Kakashi had just been defeated by Shin, he wasn't in a good mood. So, after a few rounds against Might Guy, he directly used Lightning Release Ninjutsu. A single Lightning Release hit Might Guy, making him yelp, flying backward, his hair standing completely on end and smelling burnt.

"D-damn it..."

Guy lay not far away, knowing he had been defeated again, but he didn't give up. Smoke coming from his mouth, he said, "Next time... I'll win..."

Kakashi folded his arms across his chest, looking at Guy, and shook his head, "You should give up earlier. You wanting to win against me is even less reliable than me winning against Shin."

"Thanks for the support..."

Guy got up from the ground and gave Kakashi a thumbs-up.

But then he paused slightly, thinking about Kakashi's words just now, and blinked, saying, "Kakashi, what did you just say?"

"No, nothing."

Kakashi shook his head.

Guy frowned, his gaze involuntarily falling on Shin, who was sitting on a tree branch not far away, and a hint of suspicion appeared in his eyes.

Kakashi's words just now seemed to imply... that he couldn't beat Shin?

Although Shin was Kakashi's elder brother, he had never thought about who was stronger between Kakashi and Shin, because there was simply no comparison. After all, Kakashi graduated at five and was promoted to Chunin at six, while Shin was just a top student in the class.

He must have misheard.

Kakashi probably meant that Guy trying to beat Kakashi was even less reliable than Shin trying to beat Kakashi... Guy's eyebrows relaxed as he recalled it carefully.

Swish!

Shin leaped down from the tree and landed, looking at Kakashi and Guy, and said, "Are you two going to continue training, or do you want to grab something to eat first?"

Since Guy often challenged Kakashi and they frequently trained together, Shin and Guy were also acquaintances. Although Guy and Might Duy, that eccentric father-son duo, often drew strange looks wherever they went, Shin had no intention of mocking them.

One (Might Duy) unleashed the Eight Gates Release, scattering the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist and leaving even the miraculously surviving Fuguki Suikazan traumatized.

The other, needless to say, was the man (Might Guy) who used the Eight Gates Release Formation to overwhelmingly defeat Six Paths Madara, almost kicking Kaguya so hard she couldn't open her coffin lid!

What he felt most ashamed of was that he had always been eyeing the Eight Gates Release.

But then again, the Eight Gates Release, it's hard and not hard at the same time. Its entry-level is almost achievable by any ninja, a typical brute-force taijutsu. But mastering it is extremely difficult, requiring years of almost hellish training.

It was precisely for this reason that only people like Might Guy and Might Duy could endure the patience to train this incredibly tedious jutsu to its peak.

"...I just lost to Kakashi, so I'm going to do 3000 squats before I eat."

Guy heard Shin's words, responded to Shin, and immediately began doing squats in the field, completely disregarding Kakashi's desire to complain next to him.

However, seeing Guy immediately throw himself into training, Kakashi also shook his head and said to Shin, "I'm not hungry yet, I'll continue training too."

He wasn't influenced by Guy, but stimulated by Shin.

Because Shin, possessing a Kekkei Genkai, had suddenly created a large gap between them. If he didn't train desperately, he might be left further and further behind, and he absolutely couldn't accept that.

"Alright, then I'll go eat first. You two keep practicing."

Shin didn't mind.

Normal people's schedules were completely out of sync with his, because with the time acceleration ability, he had to eat at least five meals a day, and his actual training time was probably more than the sum of Might Guy and Kakashi's.
