Chapter 7 - CHAPTER 7:"Hell is Watching"

_Chapter Begins_

William slowly let go of the handle of the giant wooden door, careful not to make a sound that might alert the cult to his break-in.

While William made his way inside to "have fun" with the cult, Elsa sat on the white marble floor that led to the church's massive, broken-down entrance.

Just as she was about to rest her head on the scorched marble, she suddenly stopped.

"Ah... almost forgot."

She lowered her hands and placed them behind her back. As if conjuring it from thin air, Elsa pulled out a long, thin black rope.

She carefully tied her beautiful golden hair into a bun using the rope.

Only then did she finally rest her head against the burned marble.

She sat quietly, staring up at the clear blue sky — a sky so perfect one might think it came straight out of a slice-of-life movie.

As she continued gazing at the stunning sky, a faint frown slowly crept across her face.

She let out a long sigh and lowered her gaze to the white marble floor.

For several moments, she stared blankly at the ground.

And during those 30 or so seconds of silence, the space around her... felt wrong — in a strange, indescribable way.

The scorched marble beneath her back and head grew even darker, turning nearly pitch black, like a black hole threatening to swallow her whole.

Elsa slowly lifted her gaze toward the small garden beside the left side of the church. With a tired expression, she watched as the once-bright patch of nature — lively just a moment ago — began to wither and decay.

The crimson red flowers turned a deep black, and with a soft breeze, they disintegrated into tiny black particles that scattered into the wind.

This eerie transformation didn't stop with the flowers. The grass, the trees, even the tiny insects — all began to rot and collapse.

With her expression growing wearier, Elsa tilted her head up to gaze at a streetlight standing next to the garden.

There, perched casually on top of the light pole with his legs crossed and hands resting on his knees, sat a teenage boy — a sinister smile stretched across his lips.

His appearance was... strange, especially through the eyes of a normal human.

He had very light grey — almost white — hair, and his eyes were pitch black, like miniature black holes pulling you in. A black robe covered his body, though not entirely. From the gaps in the fabric, his smooth, pale skin could be seen.

But the most striking feature wasn't on the front of his body… it was on his back.

There, sprouting from his shoulder blades, were two massive black wings, each at least two meters long. Beneath those, two much smaller wings curled inward — also black as the void.

As Elsa stared at the boy, her expression unreadable yet tinged with anticipation, the sinister figure decided to speak.

With a voice full of amusement, he said:

"Hello, Origin of Disaster... Oh, sorry — silly me."

He paused briefly, then continued, this time with mock formality:

"I meant to say Elsa, of course."

Elsa's frown deepened at the sound of his voice.

"So… how's it going with our little buddy in there?" he asked.

"Aren't you going to help him out with the cult?"

Elsa stood slowly from her resting place. She lingered for a moment, staring at the ground, before finally answering.
