White.
Sasha opened his eyes to a room with no corners. No light source. Just a sterile, endless white. It was neither warm nor cold. Just... there.
His thoughts came back slowly like drifting debris in still water. He should be dead. That much he understood. The last thing he remembered was a blade, pressure, blood—then peace. And now, this.
Across from him sat a dog. Fluffy. White. Calm. It looked like it had been there forever, waiting for him. But there was something about it, something that hinted at a deeper, unknown power.
Its golden eyes blinked slowly, radiating a sense of calm and understanding.
Dog: "You're dead," it stated matter-of-factly as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
Sasha blinked. Took a breath he didn't need. It felt like instinct more than function.
Sasha: "Yeah... I reckon. Didn't think I'd last that long anyway."
He looked down at himself. No blood. No wounds. He didn't even feel like he had a body—just a presence shaped like one.
Sasha: "So, uh... what is this?"
Dog: "A transitional pocket space. Outside time and matter."
Sasha: "Looks like a white room."
Dog: "Everything does when it's empty."
Sasha stared for a long moment. Then squinted at the dog.
Sasha: "Why a dog?"
Dog: "Because I'm a Random Omnipotent Being, and dogs are universally non-threatening."
Sasha tilted his head. "You sure about that?"
Dog: "Would you be talking to me this calmly if I looked like a god or a monster?"
Fair point.
Sasha: "Alright. What happens now?"
Dog: "You get three wishes."
Sasha: "...Seriously?"
Dog: "Yup. Three. Nothing absurd or system-breaking."
Sasha rubbed the back of his neck. He wasn't sure he even had one, but the muscle memory was comforting.
He thought about the manga. That panel. The last one he saw. He hadn't even gotten to read it correctly.
Sasha: "Okay. First wish: send me into Jujutsu Kaisen. That world. As an eighteen-year-old."
The dog's tail gave a single wag.
Dog: "Granted."
Sasha smiled faintly. For once, this wasn't a bad dream. It was something else.
Sasha: "Second wish... I want a sense of energy that feels ancient and cursed. Something that exists, like gravity or fire. Like the air thickens when I walk in. Like people feel it before they even know I'm there."
Dog: "Granted. It'll be instinctive. Primal. Anyone using cursed energy will feel it in their bones. Like how ancient vampires suppress their presence to control lesser bloodlines — not with words, just by existing. That kind of pressure."
Sasha felt something like excitement building in his chest. He had no clue how it would work, but he liked the sound of it.
Sasha: "Third wish: Vector Control."
Dog: "Granted. But you'll have to earn mastery."
Sasha: "Good. I'm lucky to get this shot at all. I'll handle the rest."
The dog stood, golden eyes never blinking.
Dog: "Then it's done. You'll be sent into that world. The body adjusted to age eighteen. You'll arrive with the cursed energy dormant but responsive. You'll have to grow it."
Sasha: "That's fine."
Dog: "No one will know who you are. No special welcome. You'll start from the edge like everyone else."
Sasha: "Wouldn't want it any other way."
The dog turned and walked in a slow circle before stopping again.
Dog: "One last thing. I'll give you a small apartment in Tokyo. Furnished and paid for a year. There's a letter on the kitchen table — a recommendation for Jujutsu High School. You've got two weeks before the school year starts. Don't waste it."
Sasha blinked, almost stunned.
Sasha: "That's... generous."
Dog: "I'm not heartless. Besides, you'll need a place to sleep."
Sasha looked around the white space one last time. Somehow, it didn't feel so empty anymore.
Sasha: "See you never."
The dog gave one last blink. A soft hum filled the air.
Then everything vanished.
