Happiness isn't my thing. Sadness isn't either. I don't hate, I just dislike people more than others and I don't love people... I just like them some more than a few. I just be there for people and give them a helpful hand and try to lighten up their day. That's just me. I am the oldest brother of three, there is me, Judith and Kieran. Judith has dark navy-ish hair and Kieran has light blue hair and i have medium coloured hair, not too light and not too dark just right for me. Mum has very, very white hair and dad has very dark blue hair. We got adopted later on we were 16. We are all a day apart.
We are now 20 and in collage year 1. We are all in the same class and all in the back in a line. We change who is eldest, middle and youngest just for the amusement. I go as middle child and Kieran is oldest, and Judith is youngest.
We act like triplets and it creeps people out. We say the same things, eat the same things, read the same author, have the same answers and all keep ourselves to ourselves. We also have the same timetable.
This is just how it has been. For years and it will do for many years to come.
We walk into can into class and sit in our seats. I got my notebook out and set it out lazily. I am a serious learner. I just don't look it. however, the other two i cannot condone since they heed to think they need none of the logistics of this world when they move into the next. They don't enjoy it at all.
The teacher begins to teach and I listen carefully it's all about the welfare of the roman empire. It's bland all well known and I have barely any interest so I don't listen and I write a poem about love, death and fighting. For no reason at all.
There is a new transfer student now named Luci. He seems quiet but also dangerous in a way. I find it most amusing as he sits beside me. Taking Judith's seat and Judith enters again. She stares him down and I grin wickedly "I think you'll find you're in my seat" Judith says coldly
"I don't care move"
"Don't be rude to my sister. It won't end well for you" I say coldly. Luci smiles.
"I like to play with fire, don't worry"
"she's my sister just move"
"no I think I'll stay here. Judith was it? Sit beside me it'll be the closest to your normal as possible but I'll be here instead of you. There sorted"
Luci has been at my heel since then. "Your hair is a nice colour"
"thanks, Luci. You can shut up now"
"rude much?"
"only to people who try to be my friend"
"really, harsh" I walk out of class and he laughs and chats to Judith who is staring me down. Yes I've never walked out of class before. This is a first.
I decide to smoke outside of school since it was almost lunch anyways. Judith messages as the usual noisy cow she is saying
"hey bro. Why you walk out class?? You never do? Do you have a crush on new boy blue? Are you gay? J x" I smile at the phone.
"no I'm straight and new boy blue? He is just annoying!! Like so annoying that I want to poke my eyes out A x"
"Auggie. I gave him your number. This could be a hit. P.S I read your diary and you are gay. I love you for thinking we would accept you and we do accept you since we kind of knew J x"
I look up and type "fine new boy blue could be a hit but he needs to take a hint sometimes A x"
"OMG He is blushing at his phone let me check... It's your Insta page with the photo of you when we were 16 at our birthday prom thingy mum and dad put together. I smile when I think of you dancing your head off with Kieran. You both seemed so happy. While I danced with knuckle head of a guy Jacob. JJ don't go my bro I'll tell you that J x"
"Right that may be true but what about KS?? Keeran x Sammy? A x"
"No way."
"yes way darling"
"OMG HE IS SO DEAD"
"have fun~" I walk to the park and sit on a bench. I skipped class. I hate missing class.
Luci messaged 2 minutes ago. I leave it. Then I dig into my bag for my phone. I read his message "Hey, this is new boy blue? Luci. I sit beside you? Anyways your siblings said they were going out for lunch with their mates and I thought you might prefer to have a quiet lunch so why don't we meet up? L" I frown.
"mates they never told me they had friends"
"That is rude"
"I woulda told them"
"you have no friends?"
"correct and I'm not starting now A"
"A? So thats what your name begins with... Auggie? Judith told me. Why did you leave class? You are a serious learner aren't you?"
"what do you want?"
"you to meet me at the cafe near school"
"can't"
"why not?"
"left to go to town in the city"
"really? I thought you were in the park"
"what makes you say that?"
"look up" I look up from my phone to see Luci standing there.
"Lair"
Luci took me to the damned cafe and said "why did you lie?"
"cause"
"cause?"
"I never wanted to see you"
"how come?"
"Are you my theropist? Cause i don't need one"
"no I'm a person trying to be your friend" i roll my eyes. This is great. Just great.
"you seem very held back"
"so?"
"let's go out tonight"
"no"
"why not?"
"i'm busy" I say rushed.
"too bad. I was hoping it would be a date. Ooh well maybe next time?"
"maybe" i take my phone out and message Judith "help he ambushed me! Then he took me to the cafe and now he tried to ask me on a date and i said I was busyyyyy"
"calm down. Go to the bathroom and message me since you look kinda weird messaging under the table"
"you're here"
"yeah~"
"no. This is bad thou"
i look at Luci who is studying me "who's the lucky person who has your attention?"
"no one. I was messaging Judith" his eyes soften
"did anything happen?" yeah. You did.
"false alarm" i say shrugging. Luci smiles.
"you still busy tonight?" I spot Judith right behind Luci with Kieran who has his back to us. She is shaking her head violently.
"no all freed up"
That is how this started. Me and Luci are now on a DATE in town. He is grinning at the fair and we enter and the crowd is very loud and luci takes my hand holding in tightly and he takes me to the facepainting stall. "He'll be a tiger. A white tiger" I give him a look because I'm Greek and i have very golden skin that I'm very proud of.
"what? You could be a green tiger. Or a wolf?"
"White tiger it is" he laughs "if you'll be a snow leapord" He watches as the artist paints my face and I watch him get his face painted. He looks peaceful. I grin as he poses. I smile as he takes a selfie.
"perfect for your instagram?" I laugh and he sends me it
"you really want me to post it?"
"if you want" I put is as my lock screen and I keep my selfie of me and my triplets as my home screen. I then post it and Luci smiles and the he guides me to the water love boat thing and he helps me on. What a gentleman! I smile as he snuggles into me "Auggie?"
"yeah?"
"Do you think we will work out forever?"
"Luci, i dated plenty of people and I've been the one to ask the question. It felt like they betrayed me when it didn't. I just don't want to be the one to betray you. I hated how it felt but what i can say is I hope it does." Luci is staring at me and he says
"you could never betray me darling"
"I hope so" we leave it at that.
I end up taking Luci home with me and Judith and Kieran both end up watching him as I go change into comfy clothes. They watch him like eagles watching their prey. I sigh and stare at them.
