Chapter 1: Survey
"Not bad... I enjoyed it."
After catching up with the latest available chapter, Leo closed the web page showing "scans" of the Frieren manga.
He wasn't really motivated to read this story, since he doesn't like reading stories with heroines.
An identification problem, but also a lack of understanding of female characters' perspectives.
But he was pleasantly surprised.
Fortunately, his friend Claud had insisted enormously on the quality of this work.
He could have really missed out on a masterpiece.
'Surprisingly, I liked Serie...'
At first, he wasn't really interested in her because of her warlike view of magic.
The individual reminded him too much of the bad sides of reality, which he tried to forget by reading fictional works.
After all, there are scientists who think like Frieren and others like Serie.
But Leo ended up getting used to her personality and appreciating certain aspects of the secondary character.
"Unlike many people, she's honest with herself and doesn't beat around the bush or wear a mask in front of others."
As for Frieren? She was a breath of fresh air for him during his reading time.
A classic heroic character, but with interesting points to explore.
'She can seem coldly realistic about demons in her universe, but she keeps a soft side towards people.'
Racism?
Maybe, but it doesn't come from nowhere given the inhuman behavior of the demonic race.
But then again, that's a judgment based on good human blood.
'Really... a complex story.'
Even Leo doesn't really know how he would classify demons in Frieren's universe.
Would he simply be influenced by their appearance? Or is there really more to this race than a murderous creature?
"No matter what choice is used to deal with demons in Frieren, it's hard to be morally right without being looked down upon haha."
A paradox.
After laughing at his own joke, he decided to wander around the Internet a bit more despite the late hour.

He already intended to ask acquaintances for food, to survive the rest of the month and get his salary.

This situation stimulated the isekai and fanfic fan in him.
After a small confirmation of his assumptions, he confirmed that the AU option offered another timeline of the selected world.
The world is altered by the modified description thanks to "AU", which changes the history of the selected world to match the new description.
'I'll keep this option in mind, because it gives me a lot of funny and interesting ideas.'
After that, he starts wandering through the list of available universes looking for interesting places recognized by him.
Preferably, that he could satisfy three conditions:
* First, a medieval-style fantasy reality.
* Then, supernatural or humanoid creatures other than humans.
* Finally, a danger level not too high, unlike a certain Tensura or Maou Gakuin.
These conditions eliminated universes like DC and Marvel outright, as he didn't want to die without understanding the why or how.
Of course, modern-type universes are also thrown in the trash.
"Overlord... Yeah, that would do the trick."
He didn't hesitate with Overlord, since he had read the work very recently.
Why not Frieren?
'I prefer a universe without headaches, if I want to end up inside.'
Especially since he knows nothing about the goddess of Frieren's universe, her true power level or her intentions.
A paranoid reflection, but he doesn't care.
He doesn't take risks.
'And there are no god-level beings traveling through time in Overlord.'
Just this element allowed him to deliberate on the universe to choose between the two, and there are plenty of places to explore in Overlord as in Frieren.
'I never got to travel much, but things will be different in the new world'
Despite his desire to explore this place, Leo still made a slight modification to Overlord's universe:
'A massive decrease in the male population, because of a "divine rank item" that was destroyed later.'
Why this decision?
The answer is: why not?
He wasn't popular anyway, so he prefers to eliminate the competition preventively.
"Now that I've finished the details for the world..."
His eyes naturally turned to the icon asking for character selection.

There were several names from the Overlord universe, but none caught his attention except Sebas and Mare Bello Fiore.
He was also able to observe an icon, which indicates the possibility of creating an OC character.
However, he wasn't interested this time in the platform's proposal.
"Creating an original character would be convenient, but I prefer to trust the 41 creators of Ainz Ooal Gown's guild."
He wasn't skilled enough or knowledgeable enough about the Overlord world to try creating a good character.
"I'll take Mare Bello Fiore, but I'll remove the level 100 limit."
Why not Sebas or even Demiurge?
One looks too old in appearance, and the other... he's weird to his taste, whether it's his twisted desires, his appearance or his subordinates.
Maybe Ulbert Alain Odle is to blame, but that's not his problem.
"Especially since it's mentioned that Mare Bello Fiore has nothing to envy Shalltear in terms of power."
All this led him to prefer this too young body, but usable for his objectives.
Especially since Mare's age or clothes could be corrected later with enough patience and time.

He could have stayed with cliché powers like devouring or stealing abilities, but he decided to follow this path after a long reflection.
After all, who wouldn't want a personal wish machine like SCP-738?

"What's this scam?"
It took Leo time again to understand the situation.
In summary, he will still have the ability to alter or modify reality thanks to SCP-738.
But... it's considered an item in this universe and not an SCP or a pure anomaly.
"I don't like it, but it's acceptable."
There are annoying abilities applicable to items in the Overlord universe, but he can find a solution on site later.
After all, there's no impossible wish to grant for SCP-738.
It even offered a researcher a position on the O5 Council of the SCP Foundation, with other tempting proposals.
The power of this wish machine is just too tempting.
As for the counterparts? He judged that the advantages are higher than the consequences, and he never took interest in the true identity of this SCP.
Anyone too curious ended badly.

After letting out a long yawn of fatigue, Leo got up with the intention of going to bed.
Yet, he didn't forget to fill the last request of the suspicious site.
He wrote the first idea that came to mind: commit madness, before dying facing the police in GTA V style.
A stupid mistake, which would push many people to deny any connection with him.
