"Sorry sir, I have a man in my life, but thank you for your compliments," the woman said with faked appreciation.
This was the easiest lie Naomi Li could think of. It wasn't really a lie though on account of her four-year-old son. He was more man than any of the sorry excuses for ones that pestered her. Sadly, no matter how many times she told men this they continued to fawn over her. To them, she was like a new breed of women.
Many thought she was a foreigner, but actually, she was only of mixed race and culture. Her slender hazel eyes and darker skin complexion were indicators that she was probably mixed of African and Asian. The dark coils on her head were a big sign of that as well. Accompanied with her slim and delicate features, she was no doubt an elusive beauty.
She had only been working at this new job for only a week (this being her eighth day), but the men had already begun to hound and pursue her. Most wanting nothing but a night to bed her then boast about it. Naomi figured that out the hard way.
"Oh come on baby, I know I can do better than him."
This man, in particular, was being such a persistent fool.
"No thank you, sir, I have to get back to work now," she said speeding up as she walked down the corridor.
The man was stayed persistent, speeding up behind and grabbing her wrist. Spinning her around, he forcibly pulled her into his embrace.
"Playing hard to get, are we?"
As he spoke, the hand he had placed on Naomi's back slowly ascended down. Naomi thought about bursting his eggs but decided not to. Especially since her dominant knee had gone through surgery multiple times and was now still in the process of healing after that horrible accident. It was a miracle she could walk again or better yet still give birth to her twins, but her modeling career ended there. So did her sponsorships. Which led her right back into the corporate world that she fought so hard to get away from.
Naomi was seething with anger, her face turning into a scowl. She grabbed a tight hold of his nasty hand before swinging it backward with all her might. He staggered back surprised before his eyes grew vicious.
"As I said before Team Leader Sun, I have a man in my life. Now please let me get back to my work. I have a design that needs to be turned in to my team leader pronto, so excuse me," she gave a sarcastic smile as she tried to maintain a calm composure.
Naomi bowed slightly then turned around and left, not leaving any chance for him to speak or make another move on her.
As Chang Sun watched her walk away, his face turned a ghastly ugly. He stomped down the empty corridor. He was on his way to the director's office to file an abuse complaint.
"That ugly skank will regret rejecting me," he said.
His voice echoing with the tap of his shoes.
