Chapter 1 - THE DEATH OF KYRI

We hear the faint hum of wind through dense trees. Distant animal calls echo. Then, a calm, familiar voice:

VIRAT (V.O.)

"Two years have passed... and I'm still here. In the forest. I never left."

OMARIYA FOREST – EARLY MORNING

A sweeping drone shot glides over the endless, misty green canopy. OMARIYA is darker now — overgrown, still, watching.

Trees stretch like towers.

A flock of birds bursts upward, startled.

Somewhere deep within, a shadow moves silently.

VIRAT (V.O.)

"They think I'm gone. But I see her. Every night. She's still listening..."

SMALL APARTMENT – MUMBAI – NIGHT

RIYA wakes up violently from her bed — breathing hard, drenched in sweat.

Her room is dim. On the table, an old, dusty Naazi pendant.

Rain taps against the window like soft whispers.

A notebook beside her bed is filled with sketches of roots, tribal symbols, and one word circled over and over:

VIRAT

RIYA (whispers)

"Same dream. Again..."

She touches her chest… and closes her eyes.

The jungle still calls her.

IN OMARIYA FOREST

A soft wind hums through the ancient trees. Two figures walk slowly — KYRI, a bright-eyed 10-year-old Naazi girl, and her mother ENARA, a calm and wise woman in her 30s, wearing faded war cloth.

They are survivors — both quiet, alert, yet still hopeful.

KYRI (Naazi, subtitled):

"When DOVA speaks again, will he bring back our warriors?"

ENARA (smiling):

"DOVA speaks through you now. We are all that remains."

FOREST RIVER – MOMENTS LATER

Kyri kneels by the riverbank, cupping her hands to drink.

WHIP-CRACK.

An arrow slices through the mist —

straight through her neck.

She collapses instantly — her tiny body splashing into the stream, blood mixing with water.

ENARA (screaming, heartbroken):

"KYRI!! NO!!"

She stumbles forward, lifts her daughter's lifeless body — eyes wide, frozen in shock.

Suddenly — hoofbeats.

From the shadows, 20 armed MOJI raiders emerge on horses. Painted in war-bone, faces masked. Laughing.

Their leader — a towering man with three black scars across his chest — raises his blood-stained spear.

MOJI COMMANDER:

"Let this river taste your grief, Naazi."

Enara sets Kyri down, stands tall — eyes burning, hands empty.

ENARA (defiant):

"DOVA watches."

MOJI COMMANDER (grinning):

"Then let him watch you die."

THWIP. THWIP.

Two arrows.

Enara falls. Her body crumples beside her daughter.

The MOJI dismount. One pulls out a carved bone dagger and stabs it into a tree, leaving behind the MOJI tribal symbol — a scorched claw over a broken eye.

They laugh, mount up, and vanish back into the forest.

SAME RIVER – SHORTLY AFTER

Five Naazi warriors arrive — lean, masked, cloaked in shadow.

One of them falls to his knees beside Enara and Kyri.

NAZI WARRIOR (whispers):

"Enara… Kyri…"

He sees the symbol left behind.

He touches the blood-soaked earth.

Then, he looks up — and the forest around them begins to shift. The trees groan. The roots tremble.

SECOND NAZI:

"It's time to speak to the Rootseer."

LEADER:

"No. It's time to wake the Naazi."

At 11 AM in Mumbai, Riya wakes up. She goes to the fridge, takes out a bottle of alcohol, and drinks it.

Her room is in a complete mess — things are scattered everywhere.

Right now, she isn't working on anything.

Two years ago, she used to work at the Milton Research Center.

She and a man named Virat both worked there — they fell in love.

But due to a series of events, Virat dies in an accident — it happens right in front of Riya's eyes.

After that, Riya falls into deep sorrow and eventually quits her job at the research center.

That was two years ago.

Now, she lives alone in that house — every day lost in her thoughts, haunted by what happened.

This was her life — but it wouldn't remain this way for long. Once again, the Milton Research Center turned its attention toward her.

The Milton Research Center is a private company. It conducts research on many things, especially on objects found in forests — on trees, plants, and anything that might have medicinal value, or even rare and valuable items.

The company is headed by Milton, who leads several divided teams working on different research missions. The center is located in Mumbai.

One day, their focus turned toward the Omariya Forest. There, they discovered a tree root — an extremely powerful root believed to cure many diseases. Milton learned about this through his internal team discussions.

He then sends a team to the Omariya Footsteps, which includes Virat and Riya.

As the team ventures deep into the forest searching for that item and its location, they finally find it — but along with it, they encounter something terrifying and dangerous.

During this mission, Virat dies. All of this happened two years ago.

After that, Milton continues to send more teams — five in total — to that same location. But none of them are able to reach the exact place.
