Ugh, and I did nothing…NOTHING! *covers her face with her hands feeling guilty* The worst part is that people just ASSUMED I'm exactly like Vanessa just because we'd hangout all the time. And that's so not true
Zac: Wow. Okay, that's a lot to take in *pats her back* Listen, Ash, all of that stuff's in the past. You and Selena need to let go of the past and mend things

Outside the movie theater, Zac is waiting for his mom to pick him up. She finally arrives. Zac jumps into the passenger side quietly. His mom gives him a worried look on the drive home. She pulls into their driveway then turns off the car.

*Zac wakes up on Ashley's bed. He turns his head & sees Ashley is sleeping peacefully cuddled up to him. He smiles at her, then realized they fell asleep & he stayed over the whole night…*
Zac: *stumbles out of her bed & stands up* Crap! *puts his hands on head*
Ash: *wakes up groggily*
Zac: I'm here…. Still. Oh god. My mom's going to kill me
Ash: *gasps & covers her mouth then starts to laugh*
Zac: *laughs with her* Oh, I'm so dead *looks at her clock* We'll be late for school! I gotta call my mom *pulls out his cellphone*
*Ashley's bedroom opens slowly & Ashley's mom looks at them with bewildered looks…*

A few minutes later…
*Ashley & Zac are sitting in Ashley's living room on the couch. They hear a couple honks outside…*
Zac: Well…I guess that's my cue. See you soon *kisses her*

Zac: *walks to his Mom's car & hops in the passenger seat* Hi
Mom: I've decided that we can use this car ride to have "the talk"

*Zac walks through the school doors feeling uncomfortable from his recent "talk" with his mom. He shakes it off then walks down the hall & sees Selena & Demi…*
Zac: Hey, you two *wraps his arms around each of their necks & kisses them both on the cheek*

Zac: My, uh, Mom wants to have you over for dinner…with us

Ash: Whose spreading that rumor?

Dem: Let go of him, you big bully!
Sel: *punches Gage's shoulder* Ow… *frowns & rubs her hand*
*Gage pushes Zac's friends away & beats up Zac. Ashley runs to go get the principal. Everyone in the cafeteria cheers on Gage. Zac is defenseless. Selena & Demi wine & scream at Gage, but he doesn't listen…*
Later: Zac wakes up & finds himself lying on a bed, & feeling a little dizzy…
Zac: *groans*
Ash: Zac, can you hear me, see me?
Zac: Loud and clear. Ugh, I feel like crap, and I probably look like it too *sighs*
Ash: You're always handsome to me
Zac: *smiles then frowns* That guy beat the crap outta me, didn't he?
Ash: *sighs* It wasn't a fair fight, cause he's a senior…and on the wrestling team
Zac: Oh great. I must have looked like a helpless little mouse

Zac: That means yes
Ash: *puts her fingers to his lips* Shhh
*The Nurse walks into the room…*
School Nurse: Ah, you're awake, I left some saltine's by the table. I'll bring you some Advil *walks away to find the medicine*
Zac: So where's Gage?
Ash: Suspension
Zac: Good. Thanks for staying with me
Ash: You're welcome *kisses him on the cheek*
Nurse: *comes back into the room* Here you go Zac *gives him 2 Advil pills* Whack these back and I guarantee you'll feel a lot better *places down a glass of water next to him*
Zac: Thanks
Nurse: No problem *walks into her office*
Zac: *turns to Ash* You can still come tonight for dinner…but only if you want to…
Ash: Of course, I do! *looks around to see if the Nurse is near them. She starts to kiss him. Then they hear the Nurses' footsteps & quickly stop kissing*
Nurse: Okay you two, there's 5 more minutes left of school, and your mom is going to come and pick you up now. She sounds worried
Zac: YUP, that's my mom
Nurse: *smiles & goes to her office*
Ash: It's been an eventful 24 hours that's for sure
Zac: Tell me about it
Ash: Let me help you stand up
Zac: *groans* I have to mooove?
Ash: You sound that like a cooow *giggles* Come on *pulls him up*
At Zac's house…
Mom: Thank you for helping, Ashley
Ash: Oh you're welcome Mrs.…Miss…. Zac's mom…
Mom: How about Jennie?
Ash: *takes a deep breath* Sounds good to me *smiles & sits down on the couch with Zac*
Mom: *smiles at them & goes into the kitchen*
Zac: *turns on the TV*
Later…
Ash: Hey, Zac, are you awake? Zac, Zaaaac?
Zac: *jumps up & scares her* BOO!
Ash: Ah! *slaps his arm* Don't do that! *laughs*
Zac: OW *holds his arm & cracks up* Sorry, I couldn't help myself *still laughs* So what did you wake me for? *smirks*
Ash: *gives him a humored look*
Mom: Time for dinner, you two
Later…
*Zac & Ashley snuggle together on the living room couch…*
Mom: *nudges Ashley to wake her up* Ashley, your mother called. She told me that I could drive you home now
Ash: Oh, okay *gets up slowly*
Zac: *wakes up* Wait, don't go…not yet
Mom: I'm afraid so, honey; I'll be out in the car waiting
Zac: *sleepy* But… I want you to stay
Ash: *smiles warmly* Me too, Zac. But don't worry, I'll be back tomorrow *kisses him tenderly on the lips. He makes the kiss longer & she laughs*
Ash: Bye! Love you
Zac: *pauses feeling a little afraid to respond, then he remembers what to say* Love you too
Ash: *blows him a kiss, then leaves out the front door*
Thursday afternoon…
*Zac stays home from school & sleeps in. He wakes up on the living room couch feeling Ashley kiss him…*
Zac: Ash *touches her cheek*
Ash: *smiles* Hey there
Zac: I missed you
Ash: Missed you too
Mom: *enters the room* Why hello, Ashley
Ash: Hi Jennie
Mom: Hi sweetie. Just thought that I'd say hello, nice to see you
Ash: You too
Mom: *smiles at them & walks out of the room*
Ash: *plays around with his hair with her hands* I must say, your bed head is very styling today
Zac: Correction, it's couch head *pats the couch with his hand*
Ash: *laughs* Oh, sorry
Mom: *walks back into the room* OH, I have a movie for you two to watch *throws a DVD case to Ashley*
Ash: *catches it quickly & reads the title* Romeo and Juliet
Mom: *smiles* Enjoy! *goes back to the kitchen*
Zac: *points to the DVD case with the couple kissing on it* Any ninja's in that?
Ash: Don't think so!
Zac: Alright, fine. I'll tolerate it for you…because I love you
Ash: Muah. We can watch Fast & the Furious next time. Deal?
Zac: Deal!
Saturday afternoon…
*Zac is waiting for Ashley to be dropped off at his house. The weather is rainy but the sun is still shining. His face lights up when he sees Ashley coming towards his front door. He runs out his front door & lifts her up into the air & spins her around…*
Ash: *laughs* Oh my god, you're crazy!
*Zac sets her down, but he keeps his hands on her waist. Ashley leaves her arms wrapped around his neck…*
Ash: Well, if you're going to act silly then so will I *grabs his hand & pulls them into the rain & dances around*
Zac: Okay, you win! *shakes his wet hair out*
Ash: *lovingly looks at him & pushes his wet hair back with her hand*
Zac: I'm glad we did this
Ash: Dance in the rain?
Zac: Nooo—us. I'm glad we're still…us
Ash: Me too *kisses him softly*
Zac: Okay can we get outta the damn rain? Or you can just stay here I'm fine leaving you here
Ash: Heeey!
*Ashley pulls him back into the rain & laughs while showing him how to dance…*
