Chapter 16 - Chapter 16: My Name is Xiao Wu, and I’ve Carried a Hundred Thousand Pregnancies

Chapter 16: My Name is Xiao Wu, and I've Carried a Hundred Thousand Pregnancies

—The following is non-canon, purely fictional, just for fun—

My name is Xiao Wu, a transformed soul beast with a hundred thousand years of cultivation.

My mother told me she gave birth to me after being pregnant for three months—at fifty thousand years old.

Out of the hundreds of thousands of pregnancies she's gone through, only I managed to cultivate to a hundred thousand years, which is why I could remain by her side.

Though I haven't really lived for a hundred thousand years myself, over the course of tens of thousands of years, I too, like my mother, gave birth to hundreds of thousands of descendants. They all affectionately call me "Mom." Now, the entire Soft Bone Rabbit population of the Star Dou Forest is descended from me and my mother.

Unfortunately, none of them managed to reach the hundred-thousand-year mark.

I'm so lonely!

Thankfully, I still have Mom with me. And Da Ming, Er Ming! I'm happy.

But not long ago, Mom was killed by a beautiful human woman. She absorbed her soul ring and took her soul bone.

I hate humans.

Today, I've decided to take human form. I'll follow in Blue Silver Emperor sister's footsteps and venture into the human world. I'll pick a highly talented human boy to be my boyfriend and use him to take revenge. Ideally, I'll spark a war and destroy the entire faction that woman came from.

Sister Blue Silver Emperor may have died, but it seems the human who hunted her got beaten to death by her boyfriend in the end. Hmm! Not a loss!

—This has been the account of a hundred-thousand-year-old delinquent rabbit. (Author: I made this up. Don't take it seriously.)

—Now, back to the main story—

By the evening of the next day, Zu Zong, Franklin, Yu Xiaogang, and Tang San had returned to Nuoding City.

The expressions on their faces were all different. Zu Zong was humming a cheerful tune along the way, looking thoroughly pleased.

"A girl's feet, pointy and small, embroidered with a white jade bird. You try to catch her—but she flies off…"

Franklin maintained his usual scholarly appearance, his expression strict as always, but occasionally shot Yu Xiaogang a look of contempt.

Noticing those looks, Yu Xiaogang lowered his head. His already stiff expression was now so twisted he looked like an eggplant. When he glanced at Tang San beside him, his face burned with shame.

Tang San looked completely drained, eyes bloodshot—he clearly hadn't slept all night.

Now, rewind to yesterday morning.

Under Yu Xiaogang's "moral persuasion," Tang San gave Zu Zong a "sincere" apology and even called him "Ancestor" a few times.

And who is Zu Zong? A model three-good youth of Douluo Continent's future, with full marks in character, intelligence, and physique—and the future number one handsome man. Naturally, he replied with heartfelt warmth, "Good boy. Your Ancestor forgives you!" and even offered to help Tang San find a soul ring.

Yu Xiaogang, seeing Zu Zong's magnanimity and selflessness, was moved to tears on the spot.

Zu Zong didn't hold back. He expanded his Blue Silver Domain to the maximum. In less than half an hour, he found a 119-year-old soul beast for Tang San—a Lazy Snake. Completely harmless, its daily habits included catching mice at night and sunbathing during the day.

Originally, Yu Xiaogang didn't want to accept the offer.

But when he unintentionally met Zu Zong's bloodshot eyes, sincere to the point of appearing heartbroken…

Somehow, as if under a spell, he agreed. He turned to Tang San and said, "Little San, don't look down on this Lazy Snake. Sure, it's lazy, but it's a formidable soul beast with 419 years of cultivation—almost the limit for a first soul ring. It's perfect for you! Once you absorb it, you definitely won't be any worse than Zu Zong!"

Standing on the side, Franklin watched the whole thing and silently grew even more contemptuous of Yu Xiaogang. This guy? A so-called Grandmaster? "Theoretically invincible"? The snake is clearly just past 100 years, and he's hyping it up to 419?

Still, he kept quiet. After all, Tang San had already acknowledged Yu Xiaogang as his teacher. If Franklin chimed in now, who knows—he might end up having to "supply another Lazy Snake."

Our classmate Tang San, hearing his teacher's "invincible theory," had stars in his eyes, eagerly soaking in the knowledge. Without any doubts, he successfully killed the Lazy Snake with the help of Zu Zong and Franklin, obtaining a yellow century soul ring.

And in under an hour, he had fully absorbed it. Xuan Tian Record really was something!

But then—something unexpected happened.

Tang San's Blue Silver Grass first soul skill was still "Bind," same as in the original story.

Only now, when he cast the skill, the Blue Silver Grass appeared coarse and distorted, carrying the Lazy Snake's unique trait: shedding.

It looked exactly like a waterlogged, rotting vine fished out of a swamp. Utterly disgusting to behold.

And that wasn't the worst part.

He had also inherited the Lazy Snake's daily habits…

The moment the Blue Silver Grass was released under sunlight, it froze completely—immobile and utterly lifeless. It only reactivated at night, but even then, its strength was mediocre. Compared to Zu Zong's Poison Dragon Bind, the gap was astronomical. In some aspects, it was even worse than a ten-year soul ring.

Tang San's Blue Silver Grass first soul skill—scrapped.

After returning to Nuoding Academy, the four of them parted ways, each with their own thoughts.

Yu Xiaogang took Tang San back to his place for a proper heart-to-heart.

Franklin, as the director of education, had to handle the academy's backlog of duties and report the results of the soul hunting trip to the principal.

As for Zu Zong? He had just received fourteen new steal attempts. Of course, he headed straight to his dorm, ready to lock the door and get to work.

Now, one might ask—what about the other people in the dorm?

Answer: give them a slap on the head and send them to the grove out back for some "practical combat training." Simple.

As the boss of Dorm Seven, Zu Zong truly spared no effort for these poor nameless extras.

Wang Sheng (shouting): "I have a name! I have a name!"

When Zu Zong returned to Dorm Seven, he noticed the door was slightly ajar.

Someone was inside—and not someone familiar. There was soul power fluctuation, just a bit weaker than his own. It seemed like the person had just acquired a soul ring as well.

From the feeling… this damn person was even lying on his bed.

Bang! Zu Zong kicked the door open. "Who dares lie on this emperor's dragon bed?!"

There, lying on his bed, was a dainty little girl, seemingly around the same age as Zu Zong, just a bit shorter.

Her delicate face was rosy and radiant, soft and plump like a ripe peach—making one feel an overwhelming urge to take a bite. Though dressed in a plain academy uniform, it was neat and tidy, giving her a refined appearance.

Her long black hair was tied into a neat scorpion braid that trailed down to her hips. Her large, sparkling eyes curiously stared at the newcomer.

Boy and girl locked eyes. Sparks flew. Romance bloomed—yeah right, keep dreaming.

The girl blinked her big eyes, then smiled sweetly when she saw Zu Zong's long blue-silver hair and face that was almost prettier than hers. "Hi there! My name's Xiao Wu, like in 'dancing'!"

Holy crap. It's this old rabbit?

Tang San was still living with the scumbag, so the two of them hadn't run into each other yet?

Zu Zong had been planning to eventually go after this old rabbit's hundred-thousand-year soul ring and soul bone. But right now… he really couldn't bring himself to do it.

First, no matter how you look at it, attacking such a cute little girl would be hard to justify. He wouldn't be able to sleep at night.

Even if she was technically a hundred-thousand-year-old rabbit.

Second, even if he did kill her now, he didn't have the cultivation to absorb a hundred-thousand-year soul ring. It'd be a waste.

Zu Zong nodded and asked in a low voice, "Why are you lying on my bed?"

Xiao Wu acted as if she didn't hear him. She showed no intention of getting up.

Instead, she blinked her eyes and smiled. "My martial soul is a rabbit. A really cute little white bunny. What's yours?" When she smiled, two adorable dimples appeared on her cheeks, impossible to resist.

Zu Zong didn't answer. Instead, he raised his right hand and summoned the Blue Silver Emperor.

"…That's…" The girl visibly paused.

Zu Zong closed his eyes slightly, nodding to himself. Looks like this old rabbit really does recognize the Blue Silver Emperor.
