Chapter 1 - She Caught him in the Light - by Arvin

Verse 1]

She had a way with stillness, a lens instead of lines,

Spoke less than the others, but her silence drew the signs.

Wandered off one golden day, chasing sky and shade,

And found a boy beneath a tree, not knowing he'd be framed.

He wasn't made for spotlights, just the company of paws,

A quiet kind of softness, a world without applause.

But in that slant of sunlight, something clicked, just right—

She raised her lens and caught him in the light.

[Chorus]

And I saw it all unfold, the way the small things glow,

Not loud, not fast, not like the love you think you know.

No poems pinned on lockers, no roses wrapped up tight—

Just glances, prints, and notes behind the light.

Yeah, she caught him…

Caught him in the light.

[Verse 2]

She left her world in photos, near the places he would be,

Little pieces of her wondering, tucked by roots and tree.

He'd blush and duck and stumble, like his heart had no defense,

But she just smiled and waited from behind her camera lens.

They never needed music, their rhythm was their own—

A photo girl, a science mind, and all the space they'd grown.

She told him it was real before he thought it might…

And slowly, he walked toward the light.

[Chorus]

And I watched it all take shape, like stars you barely see,

Not fire, not thunder, just a quiet gravity.

No fairy tale confessions or dances in the night—

Just hands that met beneath a frame of light.

Yeah, she caught him…

Caught him in the light.

[Bridge]

They say love's loud, love's fire,

But sometimes it's just warm and wired

Through skies and pens and shutter sounds,

Through soft hellos and solid ground.

And watching them, I understood,

That quiet love can still burn good.

[Final Chorus]

So I'm telling you this story 'cause it stayed with me just right—

A girl, a lens, a boy too shy for flight.

And how she never chased him, just waited in the light…

Until he turned around

And saw her waiting right—

There in the frame…

Where he felt safe…

Caught in her light.
