Chapter 1 - What's going on??

"Agh!" Pillows and stuffed animals scattered onto the floor as a visibly shaken girl springs up on her bed.

'what? Where am I?!' she looked around her room whipping her head to and fro as she got up from her bed and assumed a fighting position.

"Shuzi!" Her mom and dad rushed into the room one holding a slipper the other wielding a kitchen knife, with her Dad despite his age being faster than her Mom.

'Mom?'

"Mom!" Shuzi ran to her mom and gave her a big bear hug, including big tears.

The two 'armed' parents shared a look as the Mom. Continued comforting Shuzi and the Dad opened the window and looked around clutching the knife.

"Shh it's okay baby, what happened, why were you screaming?" She soothingly patted her daughter's back as she spoke.

"Mom-my I ha-d died to this ang-el and-" she said with choked sobs with that her father put his foot back in from her window. Previously trying to jump out and catch whoever was out there.

While her mom paused rubbing her back to wobbly smile at her, seemingly trying not too laugh in her face she backed up a bit, while her Dad walked up to the both of them leaving the knife on the nightstand next to her window.

Her Dad started first rubbing his face looking less energized than before.

"You can't be scaring us like that, if your having nightmares this bad we might have to get one of them dream catchers."

Her Mom however was busy burrowing her face into her husband's arm,her shoulders moving up and down still revealed her laughter.

Instead of responding to that she just hugged her dad and ignored how her Mom's eyes teased her.

"It's not her fault, she's still just a baby." She joined the now family hug, minus a brother who's still sleeping like a log.

"Alright, enough family time!"

"What? You're Pop's not good enough for you now?" she reluctantly pushed them out of her room, she had a lot of thinking to do.

"What about your dear Mother? Remember you came out of this!" Or maybe she just needed them gone...

Click.

When the door closed Shuzi slid down to her knees, but instantly stood back up when she got reminded of something.

'I can't really remember her eyes... WAIT' she lifted her hand and saw no ring. A breath she never knew she was holding was released.

'my name is Shuzi, I'm currently..' she didn't really know so she walked over to her nightstand and saw a knife next to her phone.

'what the! How'd that get here? Y'know what doesn't matter, I might need it.' she picked up her phone and saw it's the year 2019.

'hm, so I'd be around 14? No, 15 years old.'

She turned and flipped on her bed with half open eyes. ' what should I do? I mean I'm not currently the owner of a ring, so I don't have to fight right now. But should I really wait til I'm 16 though?'

The day that Shuzi had turned 16 was the day she and many others had gotten chosen to fight sin and prepare Earth for The Coming Of Judgement.

Monsters would befall Earth and Angels would be the one training and giving power to those they believe pure of heart. While we had thought we were given this just to protect, it was also a trial for us to become full fledged Angels. Hiding our rings to pass on for the next chosen to lead The Second Coming Of Judgement.

'If there even is one, wouldn't know since I didn't survive the first!'

"Ughhh!" Her being the last to die, she was the previous secretary of the halflings.

She made sure things were ready and done, and if they weren't she would tell on the Angel responsible.

(The world was ending a little snitching is perfectly fine!)

Some rogue Angels however were..

Violent? So she ended up being the craftiest and the one who could take the hardest of hits and still get back up.

'Durability was also good right?'

'I have to fight either way, but the choice is should I train now or later?' she got up and gathered the pillows and her expensive plushies loading them onto the bed.

She layed down and covered herself with a blanket.

'I better sleep on it, the end of the world can wait a bit longer.'
