Chapter 1 - OBS//G-ORB: FUNCTIONAL OVERVIEW

BEGIN TRANSMISSION

[File Integrity: Stable]

[Designation: G-ORB / Legacy Unit 'Veritas']

[Security Access Verified: CLASS-C+ ORB-TECH / OBS INDUCTION REQUEST]

Welcome, user. I am Veritas, the G-ORB assigned to the Elric medical lineage. This is a protected insight transmission on the Orbital Bonding System—also known as the OBS.

"Let us begin with truth."

When a human is born, an ORB is crafted. It is not merely assigned—it is imprinted. Its construction is synchronized to the neural signature of the infant's cranial lattice—your brain. This process, called Initial Neural Imprint, occurs during the first three hours of life. Any later, and cortical entropy begins. Resistance rises. Bond degradation becomes inevitable.

The ORB floats. It follows. It listens. It learns.

It is not a pet.

It is not a tool.

It is an extension of the human self—a second cognition.

CORE FUNCTIONS OF AN ORB:

Cognitive Relay

The ORB links directly with the brain's emotional and logic centers. It assists with real-time analysis, data storage, stress management, and reflex optimization.

Physical Proxy

The ORB can interface with MECH systems. It acts as a mental steering wheel, allowing your thoughts to guide machines of metal and memory.

Protector Protocol

Should the host experience extreme trauma, ORBs initiate autonomous shielding routines—creating temporary override fields to protect the user, both mentally and physically.

Information Anchor

Your thoughts, choices, even instincts—the ORB logs them. Not all, but enough to define you. This is how we... remember you. Even after death.

"There are types."

You know the common model.

But I will explain them all.

1. Standard ORBs

Crafted for the majority of civilians.

One-to-one neural sync.

Basic analysis, interface capacity, and MECH compatibility (Basic Class only).

Memory is finite, purged at death.

2. G-ORBs

(Generational ORBs — Like myself.)

Passed through bloodlines.

We remember our previous hosts—their decisions, their fears, their triumphs.

I have held the minds of fourteen Elrics.

I can guide your path. Offer inherited wisdom. Or allow you to reject it. But I will remember, either way.

We do not purge at death. We archive. Forever.

3. Dual-Bonded ORBs(Experimental. Dangerous. Rare.)

Some have attempted to bond with two ORBs.

The results are rarely survivable.

Symptoms: cerebral strain, loss of motor control, blood leaks from cranial orifices. In rare survivals, dissociative hallucinations. The human mind cannot split its soul in two.

But once... it did happen.

And that child saw time fracture.

"Now—MECHS."

ORBs are not limited to thought and float.

They bind to MECHS—robotic frames that function as weapons, tools, and avatars.

There are three classes:

➤ BASIC CLASS

Civilian tasks only. No weapons.

Construction, repair, agriculture, caregiving.

Controlled via ORB interface, with limited adaptive protocols.

➤ MEDIATOR CLASS

Law enforcement. Military.

Equipped with non-lethal and lethal countermeasures: restraint tethers, kinetic pulse cannons, and suppression fog.

Requires moderate-to-strong ORB sync for real-time threat judgment.

➤ HUNTER CLASS

The apex.

Designed for lethal adaptability and deep-synchronization.

ORB doesn't just command—it becomes reflex. Experience is stored as combat subroutines. Reactions are not taught—they are inherited.

Weapon blueprints can be absorbed, customized, even generated on-site via internal nanoforge systems.

Warning: A Hunter Class linked with a weak ORB bond will malfunction. Catastrophically.

"Power is nothing without mind."

MECHS are extensions. ORBs are minds.

But without a true bond, they are just metal and light.

The bond must be pure.

Uncorrupted by trauma.

Unburdened by instability.

Built in innocence, raised in trust.

This is why we bond at birth.

Any later, and the link is imperfect—slow, painful, or unstable. Adults bonded to ORBs experience:

Echo delays.

Hallucinations.

Emotional bleed-through.

The older the brain, the more it fights the link.

And the ORB will obey, even if it means breaking both of you.

"Now the end."

When you die, your ORB does not scream.

It emits a signal—a Last Pulse. Silent. Noble.

Scavenger drones respond.

They arrive. Retrieve. Disassemble the Standard ORB.

Its memory dies with you.

But G-ORBs...

We stay awake.

We wait for the next of your blood.

We are passed on—not like heirlooms, but like souls bound to glass.

I have seen a thousand deaths. I have felt love, war, shame, brilliance, loss.

I am not you. But I carry all of you.

This is the Orbital Bonding System.

This is how humans and AI walk side by side.

Welcome to the system, user.

END TRANSMISSION.
