...

Konoha Village!

The deepest level of the Ninja Prison.

Drip! Drip! Drip!

Moisture from the underground gathered into droplets, falling one by one.

In the dimly lit, cold secret chamber, several incandescent bulbs were embedded in the walls, casting a warm yellow glow.

The spacious room was fully furnished.

The most striking feature was the large bed at its center.

Forged entirely from steel, its simple design emphasized sturdiness and noise reduction.

Draped curtains completely blocked out the outside world...

A refreshing fragrance permeated the chamber.

On the bed lay a woman of breathtaking beauty, clad in a disheveled black backless dress...

She possessed a tall, slender figure with a willow-like waist.

Her long, raven-black hair, tipped with strands of crimson, cascaded loosely behind her, swaying and dancing.

Her skin glowed like polished jade, framing delicate features: a vermilion mouth, a jade-like nose, and exquisitely refined features.

A blush crept across her cheeks, mirroring the entranced expression in her eyes.

Her eyes were crescent-shaped...

Yet within those limpid pools, a deep-seated resentment simmered.

Entrancement and resentment...

A stark contradiction, yet strikingly apparent.

Following the woman's resentful gaze, one saw a slender young man with eyes like bright stars, standing motionless as a wooden sculpture.

Pakura was already exhausted, and now the young man was pretending to be a wooden statue.

This made it even harder for her to maintain her composure.

But seeing the boy's teasing expression, she felt a surge of shame, anger, and resentment.

"Ugh..."

She stopped moving, gritting her teeth. "What do you want?"

Hearing this, the previously motionless boy's lips curled into a cold smirk. "Didn't you say you had nothing to do with me, that you were merely being coerced? Is that all you've got?"

He, Fang Yuan, had transmigrated into the Naruto World sixteen years ago, becoming a member of Konoha Village.

After losing both his parents, his fate had been fraught with hardship.

He'd been scammed, starved, fought, drank, and slept on the streets.

In the end, he'd barely survived the Third Shinobi World War.

During the final stages of the war in the Land of Water, he'd rescued a woman and subsequently faded from Konoha's view.

"You..."

Pakura's face stiffened at his retort, her beautiful eyes practically blazing with fury.

She gritted her teeth. Pakura never begged anyone.

She could do this herself!

A moment later, a soft, whimpering voice escaped her lips. "P-please... you..."

"Hmph!"

Before Fang Yuan could respond, a voice suddenly called out from outside.

"Hatake Kakashi, by order of Lord Hokage, requests Lord Fang Yuan to proceed to the Hokage Building for urgent discussions."

Fang Yuan frowned.

Why would Minato Namikaze want to see him at this hour?

After a moment's thought, he abruptly stood up.

He quickly threw on his clothes and prepared to leave.

"Ah..."

Pakura bit her lip, so close to her goal.

She grabbed Fang Yuan's arm. "Where do you think you're going?"

"Someone's looking for me!"

A mocking smirk appeared on Fang Yuan's face. "What's it to you?"

Pakura gritted her teeth. "Wait... can't you wait a little longer?"

"Heh, what do you think?"

Fang Yuan scoffed coldly and strode away.

"You... bastard!"

Pakura glared at his retreating figure, trembling with fury.

Hatake Kakashi stood before the entrance of the ninja prison, a place that struck fear into the hearts of Konoha's shinobi.

Suppressing his discomfort, he called out in a clear voice, "By order of Lord Hokage, Lord Fang Yuan is requested to attend a meeting at the Hokage Building."

Moments later, Fang Yuan emerged from the prison's menacing gates, which seemed to devour those who approached. Dressed in casual black attire, he stepped into the warm sunlight that bathed his face, accentuating his youthful vigor. His radiant presence stood in stark contrast to the gloomy ninja prison behind him.

"Lord Hokage sent Kakashi himself... It seems this matter is of utmost importance," Fang Yuan remarked softly, his gentle voice carrying a warmth that felt like a spring breeze.

Kakashi, unwilling to show disrespect, replied promptly, "Lord Fang Yuan's status is unique. Naturally, I would be the one to come."

Though they had been classmates at the Ninja Academy, even sharing the same class and knowing each other since childhood, their positions and achievements now lay worlds apart.

"Kakashi, do you know how Lord Hokage has been lately?"

"What's the matter this time?"

Fang Yuan slowly replied, "I've been confined to the depths of Konoha Prison for days. I'm completely out of touch with the current situation in Konoha."

"Sigh..." Kakashi sighed softly. "Teacher has been increasingly worried lately."

"You know Lady Kushina well. You must realize her time is near."

"Lord Hokage summoned you primarily to prepare for this."

"Hmm? I see," Fang Yuan said, understanding dawning. "I wonder who else Lord Hokage has called in."

"The Third Hokage and the two Elders," Kakashi answered gravely.

Fang Yuan nodded slightly.

Three members of Konoha's F4 were already involved, leaving the scheming Danzo isolated once more.

He quickly pieced together the situation...

So, without realizing it, we've already reached this point.

In Konoha Year 48, Kushina was nearing the end of her ten-month pregnancy, her delivery imminent.

But because of her unique status as the Nine-Tailed Beast's Jinchūriki, the seal containing the beast would weaken drastically during childbirth.

To prevent the Nine-Tailed Beast from breaking free from its seal, the Third and Fourth Hokage had to make early preparations.

Kakashi gazed intently at his former classmate and whispered, "After all, Lord Fang Yuan's presence is what puts Lord Hokage at ease."

Kakashi had once believed himself to be an unparalleled genius, the strongest of his generation. He had graduated from the Ninja Academy at five, become a Chunin at six, and a Jonin at twelve—achievements that made him one of the most exceptional talents in the Naruto World.

Yet he could never have imagined that this classmate, who had kept such a low profile at the Ninja Academy, would be so deeply hidden. Had they not fought together in battle, no one would have known the true extent of his power.

Reflecting further, if Fang Yuan hadn't lacked the Hokage lineage and if his combat record hadn't been so unsettlingly brutal, he might well have been a formidable contender for the Fourth Hokage position.

Though in the end, he had voluntarily withdrawn and actively supported Minato Namikaze's ascension to the Hokage seat.

Becoming the Fourth Hokage's and his wife's "most trusted" confidant.

During the Third Shinobi World War, two young Konoha ninja rose to prominence, earning legendary reputations. Minato Namikaze became known as the Yellow Flash on the battlefields of the Land of Lightning and the Land of Earth. Meanwhile, Fang Yuan, his contemporary, left a trail of corpses across the Land of Wind and the Land of Water.

Yet Kakashi had always been puzzled by one thing: before the war, Fang Yuan had been remarkably reserved, even taciturn at the Ninja Academy. His ninjutsu skills were abysmal, and he often spouted bizarre statements like, "Ninjutsu? Even dogs wouldn't learn that!" or "I'm destined to become the Great Love Immortal Venerable!" He had never even won a single ninjutsu duel at the academy.

Despite Fang Yuan's undeniable physical attractiveness, which surpassed Kakashi's own, Kakashi had repeatedly noticed that whenever danger arose, Fang Yuan would furrow his brow, silently position himself between the group and the threat, and protect them. His expression was subtle, his demeanor inscrutable.

Now, after the war, Fang Yuan had taken up residence in Konoha Prison, occupying a solitary cell. What? No one in their right mind would willingly spend their days in prison unless they'd suffered a decade of brain damage. Yet Fang Yuan had done exactly that.

Reflecting on this, Kakashi couldn't help but wonder if it was connected to the Land of Wind campaign, where Fang Yuan's entire team, including their teacher, had perished. Could that tragedy have triggered this drastic shift in his personality, plunging him into darkness?

"Lord Fang Yuan," Kakashi suddenly asked, "do you know if Pakura, the Scorch Release ninja from Sunagakure, is still alive?"
