Chapter 2 - The Forbidden Balance: The Price

The forbidden card had been played.

The evil was defeated.

The battle was over.

The skies, once torn apart by war, finally cleared.

The oceans, long restless, fell into a deep, peaceful slumber.

Even the smallest blade of grass shimmered with life—

As though the earth itself could finally breathe.

The heavens sang in relief.

The earth sighed in peace.

But amidst this grand celebration…

The gods trembled.

Their hands would not stop shaking.

Their chests tightened with suffocating fear.

Because they knew—

The price must be paid.

A silence heavier than stone wrapped around the skies.

No one knew what he would ask.

No one dared to guess.

What if he asked for the earth?

What if he claimed the power of the heavens?

And if they refused?

What then?

The gods imagined the unthinkable.

A war—not against the evils they had just conquered—

But against him.

A war that would turn all life to ash.

A war they could not win.

The silence thickened.

The skies themselves seemed to hold their breath.

And then—his voice cut through the void.

Smooth.

Calm.

Unforgiving.

"It's time to repay me."

The gods flinched.

A crack of invisible pressure spread across the heavens.

Even the stars dared not twinkle.

One god—barely able to form words—whispered,

"What… what is your price?"

Zorvaix turned his gaze to the earth.

The gods shattered into panic.

Was he about to claim the world?

Would he dare to steal the heavens they had risked everything to protect?

But then—

He smiled.

"My price…"

"I want to be born on earth—as a human."

"I want to laugh. I want to cry. I want to struggle, and love, and fall, and rise… like they do."

"I want to feel a mother's arms. I want to taste joy. I want to break in sorrow."

"I want to know life… and I want to die."

His voice softened.

"That will be my release—from this existence, from this weight, from being your forbidden card."

"This… is the price you must repay me… Father."

The gods froze.

Because they remembered.

They remembered the secret of Zorvaix.

The Secret of Zorvaix

Zorvaix, the son of the Supreme God, was born not out of love—but out of necessity.

The gods, desperate for a protector, created him.

But in doing so, they made a mistake.

A mistake so powerful—it made him stronger than the gods themselves.

Zorvaix was not a god.

He was not a devil.

If he ever turned against the world—no one could stop him.

To control him, the Supreme God made a binding promise.

"You are my son. I created you. You must repay me. Whatever I ask of you—you must accept it."

Zorvaix smiled, unaware of what that price would be.

"I agree."

"You will be the protector of the gods. You will be chained above the heavens. You will not contact anyone. You will only descend if we summon you."

Zorvaix looked into his father's eyes and simply said,

"I agree. But every time you call me… you must be ready to repay me."

The sky thundered, sealing the promise.

But now—after the battle—the gods feared the price he demanded.

"To become human? Impossible!" they cried.

"What if he loses his memory but retains his power? Even a fraction of his strength could destroy everything!"

The Supreme God hesitated… but finally said,

"There will come a time when I too must be born as a human. On that day—you may be born as my son. Wait for me, Zorvaix."

Zorvaix smiled.

"I will wait."

"Are you sure?" the gods asked.

"If you become human, your memory will fade."

"Even then—he will always be my son. I will guide him. I will protect him from falling into darkness."

A forgotten god stepped forward.

"Why must you go to the human world at all?"

The Supreme God's eyes darkened.

"Did you forget the evil we destroyed today? He too will be reborn—as a human. I must go… to meet him there."

And so—Zorvaix waited.

For his chance.

For his freedom.

For the day he would finally live… as a human.
