I have noticed that Zach has been coming in a lot more lately. Every Friday for the past month, we've either met at my house or his for dinner.
Jericho has calmed down a lot since Zach started training him. Yesterday, Zach sent me a picture from Jericho's back. He actually got onto my horse and sat there, but was later bucked off.
His brothers now know what to expect when they see my truck pulling in on a Friday night. Zach is staying in, we're watching movies, and strictly no alcoholic drinks.
He doesn't mind at all since he's with me. I don't mind going over to his house and him coming over to mine. Tonight he's coming over and we're going to watch The Longest Ride as our movie.
Then he's staying the night with me. I honestly don't care, as long as he's not in jail or drunk of his butt. I fixed pasta with chicken and vodka sauce. It contains no alcohol at all if you're wondering.
He came in through the door and hugged me. "How are you this evening?" He asked. "Good, you?" I asked. "Better now that I get to spend time with you."
He kissed my forehead and sat down to take his boots off. I fixed us both plates and we ate. Both shared events from the week and more about our families. Baby Logan has grown tons since he was born last month. Cash and Sawyer got into trouble with the law, doing who knows what, and then our situation.
Jack will come by the feed store with new info once a week. "Um, I was wondering, would you like to be my girlfriend? I know that this may or may not be my child, but if we ever did go farther than this, I can promise that I would raise it as my own." Zach told me.
"The whole town is already talking. They'll just assume more when they see us together." I told him. "I don't care about that. They can talk behind our backs all they want, but that won't change how I feel about you." He said as he knelt in front of me.
I gave a small smile as he took both of my hands in his. They were calloused but soft at the same time. "I think we can fit two movies in tonight." He said as I got up from the table.
"I've got the dishes, you go and pick out the second movie." He told me. I smiled and got a shower, then picked out Freedom Writers. I sat on the couch with a blanket. He came in and set me partially on his lap.
His hand went under my shirt and rested on my baby bump. The way he rubbed his thumb over it made me melt. It felt so good when he did it.
I leaned against him as he continued. "Does this feel good?" He asked. I nodded against his shoulder. He kissed my forehead as the movie came to an end.
He got up to put the next one in. Then came back and sat down before putting me back in his lap. His phone rang and he paused it.
"Hello.... Uh yeah I'm sober... No, I'm watching a movie with her..... We had dinner and have already seen one..... Yeah, I know this could be bad on the family..... Nope, I don't care. Right now, she's more important than me getting drunk once a week." He hung up and set his phone next to mine.
It rang once before he silenced it. "I don't care what my family thinks about the situation. It matters more that we spend time together." He said before kissing my temple and returning his hand to where it was before.
We skipped the previews, and he pressed play. I fell asleep sometime during it.
I woke up in my bed. An arm was draped over me, and a body was pressed against my back. I snuggled closer, and the arm tightened securely around me.
I rolled over and put my head in the crook of his neck. He kissed my cheek and put his other arm under me, pulling me partially on top of him.
"I would have set you completely on top of me if it wasn't for the baby." He said before kissing me. "What time is it?" I asked. "Eight thirty." He said, checking the time on his phone.
"Crap." I jumped out of bed and grabbed a pair of jeans and a shirt. I quickly got dressed and pulled my hair back. "It's Saturday morning." He said, still lying on my bed.
"I have to work the mornings no matter how busy we are." He groaned and sat up. "I'll bring you lunch later." He said as he pulled his shirt on. Yes, he slept in his jeans last night in my bed.
I grabbed my keys, and Dillard followed me out to my truck. Zach came out after locking the bottom door lock. He got into his truck after I pulled out and got onto the road.
We're the talk of the town. I pulled up on the side and got out. Dad knew about Zach and I's dinner and a movie nights. So if I ever came in late, he'd understand.
I entered and went behind the counter. Dad already had me checked in. The rest of the morning was busy. At lunch, I leaned against the counter, catching my breath.
"What time did you get here?" Dad asked. "About nine," I told him. He nodded and went back to his office. The bell rang and I looked towards the door.
As he said, he brought me lunch. "How has the morning been?" He asked. "Busy," I told him. He kissed my forehead as he set the bag on the counter.
"Thought I'd also join you." He said with a soft smile.
