Chapter 7 - Chapter 07-Samson's Trail

"His name is Samson," Lily answered curtly.

Hearing their daughter's explanation, her father and mother's faces turned angry. They both hadn't expected their child to be treated like that.

Mr. Reno shouted so loudly that the guards at the front door heard him. "How dare he! Leo, you actually had the heart to leave my daughter on the street in a deserted place."

Mr. Reno's jaw clenched tightly, his eyes reddening.

Mrs. Sonya also said, "Not only that, our daughter was also almost assaulted by a group of thugs. We have to teach that boy a lesson."

"But there's nothing we can do. His family is a Level One family, while we are only Level Three," Mr. Reno said.

"But no matter what, I don't like how he treated our daughter," Mrs. Sonya sighed softly, then said weakly again, "Are we just going to accept it?"

Lily interrupted her parents' conversation, "Dad, Mom, that's enough! Don't blow this issue out of proportion. Besides, I've decided I don't want to see Leo again. I'm sick of all his behavior."

Her parents sighed deeply, then her mother said, "Alright, you go rest. Your father and I have been sleepy for a while now anyway."

"Okay, Dad, Mom!" Lily replied, rising from her seat.

Lily then walked into her room. She was still imagining the young man who had helped her earlier.

Elsewhere, Mr. Sebastian couldn't close his eyes even though it was already early morning. He seemed to be distressed, thinking about something.

Suddenly, an idea crossed his mind. He muttered to himself, "Oh, don't I still have Samson's contact? Why don't I just call him directly? I'll pretend to invite him for dinner at my house. And at the same time, I'll contact Mr. Victor. That way I won't have too much trouble finding him."

Then he snapped his middle finger and thumb together. "Great! Tomorrow morning I'll call Samson, and after that I'll also call Mr. Victor. Ah, why didn't I think of this idea yesterday? Finally, I can sleep soundly tonight."

Mr. Sebastian immediately lay down on his soft bed. He saw his wife already sound asleep beside him.

The next morning, Mr. Sebastian woke up unusually early. He was already getting ready to contact Samson, and only after that would he contact Mr. Victor. He thought Samson might already be awake, so he immediately pulled his phone from his pants pocket. He then searched for Samson's contact in his list.

It didn't take long for him to find it; Mr. Sebastian immediately clicked the call button. But unfortunately, the number he was calling couldn't connect. His initially beaming face turned sour, like a kaffir lime. He repeated the call several times, but it still wouldn't connect. Only the operator's voice was heard: "Sorry, the number you are calling is not available!"

Mr. Sebastian's face turned as red as a saga fruit, and he slammed his phone hard onto the floor. Then he yelled as loud as he could, "Bastard! That kid probably changed his phone number."

Mr. Sebastian didn't know that Samson and his four colleagues had already changed their phone numbers since being fired by him.

In his anger, he yelled for his servant, "Servant! Come here quickly!"

A servant hurried over to him. "Yes, sir!" one of his servants exclaimed.

"Summon all the guards here! Quickly!" Mr. Sebastian ordered fiercely.

His servant quickly summoned all of Mr. Sebastian's guards who were around his residence. Not long after, all the guards and servants had gathered in front of Mr. Sebastian.

Then, in a loud voice, he exclaimed, "Listen carefully, all of you, I order you all to find a young man named Samson. You all must spread out to every corner of this city, and I remind you, never return until you can find him."

A head guard asked tremulously, "The young man you mean, sir, is he the one who came the other day with his colleagues, sir?"

"That's right!" Mr. Sebastian answered. Then he continued, "Find him at all costs, no matter what. If necessary, ask everyone you meet on the street. Quickly! Find that man now." Still in his anger, Mr. Sebastian exclaimed again, "And one more thing, remember, if you find that young man, contact me immediately, do you all understand!"

"We understand, sir!" all the guards answered in unison. Then they rushed out of the house, preparing to find the person their master meant.

As Sarah was about to leave for work, she opened the gate to her house and saw many people in the street. She asked her father, who was watering flowers in the yard, "Dad, Dad, come here! Look outside, why are there so many people in uniform on the street?"

Her father immediately went to the gate and looked out. Indeed, there were many people in uniforms like guards on the street.

"Who are they, Dad?" Sarah asked curiously.

"I don't know, Sarah. Maybe there's a convoy coming through later, so they're positioned on the side of the road to manage traffic if there's congestion," her father explained.

Sarah asked again, "But why aren't there any signs of a convoy passing yet, Dad?"

"It'll probably pass soon," her father replied casually.

"Oh right, Sarah, you can use Dad's car for now. Coincidentally, I don't have any outdoor activities today, so I'm just going to rest at home. You can use my car."

"Oh, okay, Dad! Where did you put the keys?" Sarah asked.

"They're on the decorative table in the living room," her father answered.

Sarah rushed into the house and grabbed her father's car keys. Then she got in the car and sped off, calling out, "I'm heading out, Dad!"

Her father waved his hand and called out, "Be careful on the road, Sarah!"

Sarah arrived at the office basement. She parked her car in her usual spot.

As Sarah got out of the car, she saw Mona approaching her. Mona called out, "Hey, pretty lady, whose car are you driving?"

"Oh, this is my Dad's car, Mona. He lent it to me to use, since my car burned up, remember?" Sarah said.

"Oh, I see. Oh, hey, Sarah, have you had breakfast yet?" Mona asked.

"I didn't have time, Mona. I thought there would be traffic because my dad thought there'd be a convoy on the road," Sarah replied.

"In that case, let's find a restaurant around our office that serves breakfast!" Mona suggested, holding Sarah's arm.

Sarah glanced at her watch and checked the time. It was still a long time until work started. Their work hours began at 8:00 AM, and it was currently 7:15 AM local time. Sarah followed her friend's lead to find breakfast.

"There's a restaurant that serves breakfast!" Mona pointed. "Let's go there!" Mona urged again, pulling Sarah's hand.

Sarah was like a child being led by an older sister. Sarah felt happy to be treated so well by her friend. They then entered a small restaurant. The atmosphere was quite comfortable, and there weren't too many customers yet, only a few guests who were engrossed in their meals.

The two of them looked for a seat facing outward so they could see the street.

Mona's eyes landed on a table in the corner of the room, and she exclaimed, "That... isn't that Mr. Albert sitting in the corner?" as she pointed her index finger.

Mona was still holding Sarah's arm and immediately pulled her towards Mr. Albert's table. "Good morning, Mr. Albert!" Sarah and Mona greeted him simultaneously.

"Oh, you two, good morning! Please, sit here and join me for breakfast."

Sarah still felt awkward, but Mona had already pulled her down to sit.

After they sat down, Mr. Albert offered them the menu next to him. "Please, what would you like to order?" Mr. Albert asked. "I'll pay later," he added.

"Oh, thank you, Mr. Albert. You are truly very kind and generous," Mona said, glancing at Sarah beside her.

Sarah was annoyed by her friend's behavior and pinched her thigh. Then Sarah said, "You really have a talent for being a great charmer, Mona."

Mona and Mr. Albert burst out laughing at that. Sarah couldn't help but join in the laughter. They had already ordered their food. Soon after, a waiter arrived with a tray containing the food and drinks Sarah and Mona had ordered.

The three of them had breakfast together. Mona seemed eager to finish the food on her plate quickly.

Mona finished first, then she asked Sarah, "Sarah, do you know a young man named Samson?"

Sarah frowned, "Who's Samson, Mona?" Sarah asked back, surprised.

"How would I know, Sarah!" Mona replied with a pout, then continued, "If I knew, I wouldn't be asking you, right?"

Mona then turned her gaze to Mr. Albert and asked, "Do you know someone named Samson, Mr. Albert?"

Mr. Albert also frowned and answered casually, "I don't know anyone named Samson. Why are you asking about him?" Mr. Albert asked back.

"Yeah, why are you asking about him?" Sarah chimed in.
