"Alright, kids, settle down!" Steve's voice cut through the chatter, sharp but playful. "Those who don't lower their voices might just awaken as living loudspeakers!"
The classroom erupted in laughter, desks creaking as students leaned forward, their eyes bright with amusement. Steve raised a hand, his grin fading into a mock glare. "I'm serious. In two months, you'll all awaken your systems, so listen up. If I have to repeat myself, someone's getting tossed out of class."
The room fell silent, every student now attentive, their curiosity piqued.
"Let's start with Combat Awakening," Steve began, pacing before the chalkboard. "It's a bit of a gamble—your class depends on luck. If fortune's on your side, you might awaken as a Warrior, Fire Mage, Water Mage, or something equally impressive." He paused, letting the words sink in. "Mages excel at long-range combat, while Warriors thrive in close quarters. Sound familiar? It's like the games you play."
A chorus of enthusiastic "Yes, Steve!" filled the room."Good. Then you'll understand this next part." He leaned against his desk, arms crossed. "There are rarer classes—Elementalist, Necromancer, Magic Swordsman, to name a few. These are powerful but tough to master. Take the Elementalist, for example. They can wield three, four, or even more elements. Sounds incredible, right? But controlling opposing forces like fire and water? That's a nightmare. You might be gray-haired before you get the hang of it."
A few students chuckled, but Steve's expression grew serious. "That said, with talent and proper mana control, you could master it by your mid-thirties. Speaking of mana—it's the lifeblood of magic. Everyone has some mana capacity, and it grows as you level up, just like in your games. But here's the key: controlling mana is what determines your magical output. Get sloppy, and your spells fizzle. Master it, and you're a force to be reckoned with."
He shifted his focus, scanning the room. "Now, for those who awaken as Warriors or Assassins, your strength lies in physical attributes—strength, agility, precision, and stamina. You're close-combat fighters, so your life depends on your body's capabilities. Train hard, and don't underestimate the basics."
Steve clapped his hands, signaling a shift. "Enough about combat for now. Let's talk about the Life Skill System, or LSS." He smiled, his tone softening. "This system is personal—it's shaped by your passions and talents. For example, I love reading. When I awakened, one of my first skills was Speed Reading. It lets me devour books with pinpoint accuracy, which helped me become a teacher alongside my Mage Combat Class."
He stepped forward, his voice warm but firm. "At your awakening, you'll choose a profession—some of you might even pick up two or three over your lifetime. Some become full-time Hunters, chasing glory and danger. Others focus on their Life Skills. And some? They balance both. My advice as your teacher: don't neglect either system. Combat skills protect you and your loved ones, while Life Skills pave the way for a fulfilling career after your hunting days are over."
He paused, letting his words linger. "One last thing—hunting pays well, but it's risky. Never forget: no amount of gold is worth your life."
The bell rang, but the students remained seated, hanging on Steve's final words, their minds buzzing with dreams of awakenings and the paths that lay ahead.
