Amber collapsed onto the sofa in Galehaven Comics, holding the Sealing Key and Fly Card with a frustrated groan. "This is going to be so embarrassing," she muttered. The rewards were exciting—she could fly now, which was a dream come true—but the dramatic incantation required to use the card made her cringe.
"Maybe I'll just activate it where no one can hear me," she thought, already planning how to avoid anyone catching her in the act.
Eula noticed Amber's troubled expression. "What's the line? Why does it bother you so much when you literally just got the power to fly?"
Barbara leaned forward, curious. "Are you going to try it out? I want to see!"
Amber awkwardly rubbed her nose. "Let's wait until Eula gets her reward. I'll deal with my problem later."
She had already accepted that she'd have to use the Fly card in public eventually. There was no way she could hide it forever.
Eula closed the comic she was reading—Yu-Gi-Oh—and looked up. "I finished mine too. Amber and I started at the same time."
Barbara glanced at the unfamiliar title. "Is it good?"
She hadn't seen it yesterday. It must've been new, and she regretted missing the chance to grab it.
"It's decent," Eula replied. "The battles are flashy, but it's not exactly a power boost. Still, the card mechanics are interesting."
The monsters—like Black Magician, Blue-Eyes White Dragon, and Red-Eyes Black Dragon—stood out in her mind. It was a very different kind of combat than what she was used to. Building a deck and fighting with summoned creatures intrigued her.
Barbara smiled. "Monsters, huh? Sounds fun. I'll read it tomorrow."
Meanwhile, a system notification appeared for Harlan:Customer Eula completed Yu-Gi-Oh — Rewards: Duel Disk, Card Pack
Duel Disk: A device to summon monster projections from inserted cards.
Card Pack: 40 randomized cards.
Harlan wasn't surprised. After Amber's dual reward, it made sense that Eula would get something equally impressive.
A bright beam of light appeared above Eula. As everyone in the shop watched, it surrounded her and then faded, revealing a Duel Disk on her left arm. The slots were already filled with a new deck.
Amber's eyes lit up. "What is that? It looks awesome!"
Eula turned her arm slightly. "It's a Duel Disk. I think it's what the characters in the comic used."
Harlan stepped in to explain. "It holds 40 cards. When you insert a monster card, it summons a realistic projection. It doesn't have any real attack power—it's just for show—but the visuals are better than the comic's holograms."
Eula looked surprised. "So I can summon monsters? Even if they don't fight, that sounds amazing."
She thought about what it would look like if a Blue-Eyes White Dragon flew over Mondstadt. It would be chaos—people might even mistake it for an attack.
She drew a card from the deck and read it. "Black Magician Girl. That name was in Yugi's deck, right?"
"Try it!" Barbara encouraged, as the others gathered around.
Eula slid the card into the Duel Disk. A flash of light appeared, and the Black Magician Girl materialized in front of her, dressed in a bright outfit with a wand in her hand. She gave a small wink, and Amber and Barbara immediately reacted.
"She's so cute!"
Eula smiled, then drew another card. Her expression shifted. "Blue-Eyes White Dragon. This is a big one."
Harlan raised his eyebrows. "Wow, that's some luck. You pulled both Black Magician Girl and Blue-Eyes from a random deck?"
He was genuinely impressed. That kind of pull was rare.
"This one's too big to summon inside," Eula said, heading for the back door.
Everyone followed her outside—Amber, Barbara, Lisa, Fischl, even the Lady and Luke looked on from the shop.
Eula stood in the alley. She took a breath, then inserted the Blue-Eyes White Dragon card into the Duel Disk.
A bright flash lit up the area. Massive wings spread open from the light, casting shadows across the buildings.
A deafening roar followed as the Blue-Eyes White Dragon appeared overhead, its body huge and shining in the sunlight.
Everyone covered their ears. The dragon hovered above them, its cold blue eyes looking down at the street. The projection was so realistic that for a moment, it felt like a real dragon had appeared.
