"B…but how?!" Kalios was really shocked when he heard it; his mouth was open. "How did you do it, young master?!" Kalios asked Lucien.
"I just slice him, that's all," Lucien replied to Kalios's question.
"No, no, no. That's impossible, young master! Only those blessed by a god can do that, young master!" Kalios said, looking like he can't believe what his young master said. "Do you have a blessing of a god, young master?" Kalios asked Lucien.
Long ago there were a few people who got blessings from a god; the news spread so fast. Some people don't believe this, because in their ancient time, someone said that those beings are never allowed to interact with or interfere in the normal lives of the humans. On others they believe those beings are restricted from this world.
But some people believe those things, especially those who have blessings. Because long ago there were a few people who suddenly experienced a burst of power within them, which made them break through their limit. After those humans broke through their limits, they easily defeated a corrupted beast and started their exploration to learn new things.
Upon their exploration they found a lot of new things, such as books on magic, sword style, weapons, and other species that they didn't know existed.
And after that, a lot of people become greedy for power. Those humans who received a blessing from the gods started a new era, in which the strongest will lead those who are weak. And because of that, a king was made in that era. But after 800 years passed, when the new king was appointed, he changed the tradition of choosing who would be the next king. Instead of choosing a king through power, he changed it. Those from his bloodline are the only ones allowed to become a king.
Because he was the strongest during that time, those below him can only submit. Until Lucien's era, the people who became king were all from his bloodline, and they are the Valerian Royal Family.
And now a lot of people from Lucien aged received blessings from the gods, and only 10 people were acknowledged. They are the ones who have so much potential.
Lucien looked at Kalios with cold eyes when he heard the word 'GOD.' Lucien hates God because of what he experienced on earth back then and what Lucien experienced here in Altheria. Which, when their souls fuse, their emotions get mixed up, and they end up hating those gods more.
Kalios, who saw Lucien's eyes, experienced a heavy pressure, as if a supreme being were judging him. Kalios fell on his knee because of losing control over his body, and then "Y...young master, I...I'm sorry for the question," Kalios said, his voice shaking, while asking in a forgiveness tone.
Lucien, who just closed his eyes for a second and started to eat his food, said, "I don't have the blessing of a god nor am I planning to get one; it's up to you if you will believe what I said earlier."
"Anyway, get me every magic book, aura, and sword style that you have here," Lucien said in a calm voice.
Kalios, who was sweating because of what he experienced earlier, replied only, "Y...yes, young master," then he bowed and rushed to get everything that he ordered.
Lucien finished his food and tried something; he opened his palm and closed his eyes. He was trying to remember what the healer did earlier, after a few minutes. Lucien felt something that was flowing in his veins, and suddenly a green magic circle just formed in his palm; it's the same as the one the healer used on him earlier.
But Lucien tried something; he tried to do something. He closed his eyes again, but this time it was different. The feeling that he felt earlier was something flowing inside his vein, but when he felt that thing earlier, he felt another vein inside his body. And then he tried to change the flow; this time, he let it flow into his second vein. This time, the feeling he felt earlier changed. His body feels warmth now. And then he changed something in the magic circle; he changed the second stroke in the circle. This time the magic circle expanded, and then he tried to use it on himself. After he tried it, all of the earlier pain was fully gone now.
Lucien stood up from his bed; he felt his body become stable now. He could move around as if every muscle that was torn apart earlier was back to normal now.
Kalios rushed back to his lord's tent, carrying a lot of books; it's like he took everything from their storage. Kalios, who got back to his lord's tent, was surprised because he saw his lord doing some push-ups and sweating. "Y...young master, you should stay in your bed! You need to recover first!" Kalios said to Lucien with a worried look.
"I'm fully healed now, don't worry," Lucien said to Kalios while doing a push-up and sweating. And then Lucien stood up and was looking fine, and his body was starting to look good, as if his body now was slowly turning into a perfect body just like his body back on earth.
Kalios saw his body. "Just wait, young master; I'll get some healer to check on you," Kalios said while rushing to get a healer. As Kalios called a healer, they rushed back fast, and when they arrived at the tent. The healer quickly checked Lucien's body.
"Hmm?! Your body is back to normal now, young master. How did this happen?" The healer asks because treating his body will take a few days, but just in a few hours his body is back to normal now.
"It's because of you, the reason why my body is back to normal now. Thanks for the treatment," Lucien said to the healer. Lucien wasn't planning to tell anyone about what he did.
"See? I'm fully healed now," Lucien said to Kalios while looking at him, and he added, "So if everything is fine now, can you guys leave now?"
Kalios bowed to Lucien, and as they were about to leave, "Young master, after 1 week, all the knights here will start to attack them in their own camp. So, if you have someone you want to accompany you, just tell me." Kalios bowed again before leaving.
"Don't let anyone enter my tent, even you," Lucien said to Kalios, who was leaving the tent. And then Kalios closed the entrance of the tent.
Lucien grabbed one of the books, and then he read the book cover in his mind: 'The Beginning of Altheria.'
Lucien opened the first book and started to read everything; he was turning the pages while eating his grapes. And he looks like he's enjoying it, as if he were reading some type of story like on Earth
