Chapter 17 - chapter 17 : "Flames on the Road"

Scene: Silent Vow

The world was too loud.

Harvin stood outside his home, the sky tinted orange as dusk fell. He raised his hand, summoning Moss once more. The bat-like humanoid beast appeared—silent, still.

Harvin didn't look at him. His voice was low.

"Protect my brother."

Moss lowered his head.

Then, in a ripple of black smoke, his form phased—and vanished, entering into Vasu's body like a shield stitched to his soul.

Inside, Vasu blinked. He felt warmer—stronger, even.

---

Scene: Fate on the Road

Harvin walked along the cracked pavement of the Sector-9 road. Neon lights flickered. Debris scattered. He passed people—unseen.

His mind was elsewhere.

> "Ingredient 1 acquired… But next… Fire Lotus Petal."

He gritted his teeth.

"I'm going to become stronger than ever. For him."

Just then, he heard a bounce.

A red ball rolled across the road. A small child chased it.

Time slowed.

A car sped forward—horn blaring, out of control.

The boy froze.

Everyone turned.

But Harvin… did not move. He simply walked forward, eyes blank. He passed the boy. He could've saved him—but didn't.

Screams filled the air.

But then—

A blur.

Someone dashed in—Sankruti Sen, a famous hunter in violet battle gear, slid forward and pulled the child away just in time. The car screeched past.

The crowd erupted in cheers.

The mother ran to them, crying.

"Thank you! Thank you for saving my son!"

Sankruti smiled softly. "It's alright. But be careful. Don't make this mistake again."

From the corner of her eye… she saw Harvin.

Walking away. Silent.

Sankruti narrowed her eyes.

---

Scene: Confrontation

She followed him quickly, her steps firm.

She reached him and tapped his shoulder.

"Hey. I saw you. You're a hunter, right? I sensed your aura. What's your rank?"

Harvin didn't answer.

Sankruti frowned. "Why didn't you save that kid?"

No reply.

He calmly raised his hand—removed hers from his shoulder—and walked on.

Sankruti stood stunned. "What…?" she muttered.

She pulled out her phone. Click. She took a photo of Harvin's back.

"I'll find out everything about you. You can't hide behind that silence forever."

---

Scene: A New Raid

Elsewhere...

Inside the towering headquarters of the Sanjivani Guild, the wise vice-leader Rudravir stood with a map on the table.

"Prepare the raid team. Barrier Dungeon has appeared. High threat level. We move at dawn."

Behind him, a group of elite hunters nodded.

Among them—something stirred in the shadows.

---

Scene: Destiny Ignites

Harvin's phone buzzed.

> [SYSTEM NOTICE]

Eyes wide.

"Only once in 100 years…"

His heart beat faster. He looked up at the night sky, lit by a sliver of moonlight.

"Yes."

Scene: A Sudden Dungeon

Harvin was walking toward his next target location when the sky above cracked open.

A dungeon—unmarked, wild, and ancient—appeared right in front of him.

Without hesitation, Harvin stepped inside.

His body instantly surged with power. The aura around him crackled.

His hooks shimmered in the dark.

---

Scene: Wave of Death

A monstrous wave—ten thousand beasts—charged at him.

But Harvin didn't flinch.

He raised his hand.

> "Summon: Bats."

Thousands of bats burst from the void, flying in tight formations, and unleashed a deadly ultrasonic barrage.

The monsters screamed. One by one, they collapsed—bleeding from their ears, skulls bursting from internal pressure.

In one hour, Harvin alone killed 100,000 monsters.

Then—he raised his palm and activated his Sanjivani Vidya.

> [Sanjiavni Vidya Activated: Reanimation in Progress…]

In a storm of green light, the 100,000 corpses twitched… and stood back up.

Now they were Harvin's undead army.

---

Scene: The Fire Lotus

In the center of this blood-soaked field stood the Fire Lotus Tree—its blazing petals glowing like a phoenix's flame.

Harvin began to walk toward it.

But then—BOOM!

A giant boulder crashed down beside him, nearly crushing him.

He spun around, furious.

But what he saw stole the breath from his chest.

---

Scene: Erawan Appears

From the shadows emerged a monstrous elephant.

Its size was terrifying.

It had seven trunks, four massive ivory tusks, and skin so thick and dense it looked like armored steel.

> [NAME: ERAWAN – Divine Guardian Beast]

[RANK: UNKNOWN]

[Role: Guardian of the Fire Lotus]

The beast's red eyes narrowed.

Erawan:

"Who are you, mortal? Why do you approach the Fire Lotus Tree?"

Harvin clenched his fists.

"I don't owe you an answer."

Erawan:

"Then I shall crush you."

---

Scene: Clash of Titans

Erawan hurled another massive boulder—Harvin dodged but was blasted far from the tree.

Erawan charged at lightning speed and caught Harvin with two trunks, beginning to crush him.

Harvin growled and broke free, summoning his hooks.

He attacked—but the blades shattered on Erawan's impenetrable hide.

> "What the hell is this monster made of?"

Erawan laughed.

"You are the first mortal to stand before me. But I will end you brutally."

Harvin's rage boiled. He tossed his broken weapons aside.

> "I don't need weapons."

He charged barehanded.

The battle turned brutal—punches, trunk strikes, smashed rocks.

Erawan's attack missed—but it destroyed the massive boulders behind Harvin.

Harvin finally landed a solid punch, pushing Erawan back one step.

Erawan smirked. "Interesting…"

Then he charged again—and hit Harvin straight in the chest.

Harvin flew back, blood spilling.

---

Scene: Remembering Vasu

Harvin lay crushed under rubble.

But in that silence…

He saw a memory of Vasu, smiling, watching TV, saying:

> "One day, I'll walk again, right brother?"

Harvin opened his eyes.

And stood up.

His strength surged.

He dodged Erawan's next attack.

This time—they were equal.

---

Scene: Shamm Form Activated

Suddenly, Harvin disappeared.

In a blink—he was behind Erawan.

> "SHAMMMM.... TECHNIQUE: PHASE STRIKE."

One brutal punch landed on Erawan's back.

Crack.

Erawan screamed. But the battle wasn't over.

Erawan tried to stomp—but Harvin tore two trunks apart, ripping flesh and causing the beast to cry out in pain.

Then he grabbed two of the ivory tusks and broke them.

Erawan, still alive—charged one last time.

Harvin let out a roar—

> "I fight not for glory. I fight for my brother."

With a final leap—Harvin's fist collided with Erawan's skull.

> BOOM!

The divine beast collapsed.

Dead.

---

Scene: Aftermath

Harvin stood, covered in blood, bones fractured.

> [SYSTEM NOTICE]

"Auto-heal Initiated…"

Harvin sat beneath the Fire Lotus Tree, the flower now glowing brighter than ever.

He whispered to himself,

> "I didn't use Blackout Execution. I didn't use any mystic help. This was me. Just me."

He smiled through the pain.

> "And I'm not done yet."
