Chapter 170 - Chapter 173: The Oriole Behind the Mantis

"Damn it! Water Release: Water Whip Technique!"

Another Kiri ANBU ninja, seeing his comrade killed, quickly began forming hand seals, trying to ensnare Uchiha Yuan with a water whip. But Yuan was too fast—before the seals were completed, he had already appeared in front of the ANBU jonin and slashed his throat with his horizontal blade.

After instantly killing two ANBU jonin, Yuan flickered back to his original spot.

At this point, several of the more timid Kiri-nin were already trembling uncontrollably.

They had seen Yuan's battle with the Three-Tails and knew he was terrifying—but they hadn't expected him to be this strong. To instant-kill ANBU jonin... even the Fourth Hokage, the Yellow Flash Minato Namikaze, was probably no more powerful.

The Six-Tails Jinchuriki also looked at the masked man before him with a grave expression. Judging from the earlier clash, he had no confidence in stopping Yuan.

Not to mention, there was still a strange puppet master lurking ominously in the air.

"Who are you? Why are you attacking people from Kirigakure?" the Six-Tails Jinchuriki asked cautiously.

Yuan ignored him and instead shouted to Hyuga Asana, "That's enough, you can stop. Leave this to me."

Hearing this, Asana gestured, and the puppet of the Third Kazekage flew back to her.

"You're too arrogant!" the Six-Tails Jinchuriki growled. He was a Kage-level shinobi, revered in Kirigakure—even the Fourth Mizukage dared not slight him like this. Yuan's dismissal made his blood boil.

"Sir, please calm down! Given the current situation, retreating might be our best option," a Kiri ANBU tried to advise.

"Hmph!" The Jinchuriki snorted, pushing the ANBU aside. A red wave of Tailed Beast chakra began to surge from his body.

"Brat, I'll show you the power of the Six-Tails! Corrosive Acid Mist!"

Using the Six-Tails' chakra, the Jinchuriki transformed the Hidden Mist Technique into an acidic mist with strong corrosive properties.

They were in a forest. As the mist spread, the surrounding trees were instantly corroded and toppled one by one.

Yuan frowned. The destructive power of this mist was quite strong.

Seeing the acid mist about to reach him, Yuan quickly formed hand seals and unleashed two large-scale Wind Release jutsu in succession to blow away the mist nearby.

After witnessing the Six-Tails Jinchuriki's destructive force, Yuan no longer dared to be careless. His Sharingan spun rapidly into a six-pointed star, and a bluish skeletal structure emerged around him as he flickered behind the Jinchuriki.

Surrounded by his own acid mist, the Jinchuriki wasn't worried about Yuan's approach.

But the next second, he realized he was wrong—Yuan's skeletal armor actually blocked the corrosive mist.

Caught off guard, the Jinchuriki was sent flying out of the mist by a punch from Yuan.

Seizing the momentum, Yuan flickered to his front.

The moment their eyes met, the Jinchuriki felt the scenery around him change.

The forest vanished, replaced by a world covered in snow and ice. A biting northern wind howled as snowflakes fell. The cold made him shiver uncontrollably.

"Genjutsu?! When did I fall into it?" the Jinchuriki tried to form hand seals to dispel it, but it was futile. Mangekyo-level illusions weren't so easy to break.

Outside, the Jinchuriki stood blankly in place. Yuan directly released the seal within his body.

In the next instant, an immense chakra erupted from the Jinchuriki.

Yuan took a few steps back, using his Mangekyo Sharingan to observe the situation within the Jinchuriki's body.

Soon, he confirmed—this was no longer a Jinchuriki. The Six-Tails had completely taken over the body.

More and more massive chakra poured out of the body, eventually condensing into a giant, pink, slime-covered beast.

Yuan grinned. This was exactly what he wanted. If the Six-Tails didn't manifest, how was he supposed to collect its chakra?

He formed hand seals. Violent Lightning Release chakra sparked at his fingertips.

Yuan then activated the ocular technique Magatsuhi along with Annihilation. With these augmentations, his Hell Thrust gained an enormous boost in power.

Whoosh— Yuan disappeared from sight and reappeared in front of the Six-Tails.

Hell Thrust pierced straight through the beast, and its body was paralyzed by the lightning effects.

Unable to shake off the paralysis, the Six-Tails roared in place, venting its fury.

As it howled, its body's slime began to form into numerous bubbles. The beast took a deep breath and blew the bubbles toward Yuan.

Seeing this, Yuan formed hand seals and flooded the technique with chakra:

"Fire Release: Majestic Fire Annihilation!"

A massive wave of fire swept forth, instantly evaporating the bubbles.

Even worse, the flames engulfed the paralyzed Six-Tails completely.

Under the intense heat, the beast howled in pain.

After a while, the flames dissipated. The Six-Tails was left covered in burns.

However, its paralysis had mostly worn off.

After all, it was a Tailed Beast. Yuan's attacks still weren't enough to defeat it outright.

The Six-Tails began healing itself with its chakra. At the same time, it raised its head and began forming a Tailed Beast Bomb.

Yuan flickered in front of it and slammed an Electromagnetic Rasengan onto its head, then retreated back onto Shadiao.

The Tailed Beast Bomb, interrupted mid-charge, exploded prematurely. Combined with the Rasengan's explosion, the Six-Tails was sent flying.

After the blast, Yuan returned to its side and casually sliced off two of its tails.

Losing two tails, the Six-Tails finally couldn't take anymore. After a cry of anguish, its form faded.

The beast returned to the Jinchuriki's body.

The Jinchuriki scrambled to his feet, staring at Yuan in horror.

When the Six-Tails had transformed, the illusion was broken by the influx of chakra, and the Jinchuriki had witnessed firsthand how this man utterly destroyed the Six-Tails.

But Yuan no longer had the interest to waste time on him—he had sensed two chakra signatures underground. Black and White Zetsu had arrived, and if they were here, then Obito was likely nearby too.

Yuan didn't want to fight Obito yet, so he flickered back to Hyuga Asana's side. Together, they rode off on Shadiao.
