Adam took his seat as he read the information before a voice came over the comms.
"Zero points and zero matches? Am I facing a complete noob? Well at least it will be a quick victory haha."
"Wait, you're a streamer? I respect your guts at daring to stream from your first match bro."
[Celebrityhunter69 (Earth): We can hear the opponent?]
[Beczontop (Imperial Down): Yup because in actual space combat you can hear your enemies if they have their comms set to open broadcast.]
[Whostolemyduck (Earth): 7 points, how do points work in Space Rogue.]
[Tessisdabest (Imperial Down): It's pretty simple, a win gets you 1 point while a loss loses you 1 and in the event of a draw each player gets nothing. The game matches you up with players whose overall scores are within 10 points of yours.]
[Justiceistruth: (Earth): He can tell he's a streamer?]
[Tessisdabest (Imperial Down): Yeah it shows on the players information if they're streaming. Not all players like to match against streamers and so it gives them a chance to drop out before the match starts without suffering a forfeit penalty.]
[Match Start]
"Let's go noob, show me what you got." Devil_Prince_Asura said as the match began.
Adam activated his anti-gravity drive and shot forward towards his opponent as his opponent did the same.
"Hahaha I like it. I like it coming straight at me are you, show me what you got."
As they both entered weapons range they both started firing their rotating plasma cannons.
Since Devil_Prince_Asura only had 7 points he was still using the same basic equipment as Adam since the cheapest upgrade available in the points shop cost 10 points.
Both players strafed their ships while firing their plasma cannons until they both seemed to realise this wouldn't get them anywhere and they started to close the distance on each other again.
Soon both their plasma bolts finally started to connect with the other's shields and they started to strafe again.
Seeing that this was heading for a tie Adam decided he needed to change tactic and use the only advantage his ship currently possessed over Devil_Prince_Asura's which was his anti-gravity drives greater manoeuvrability since his openers craft was using the basic thruster drive that allowed for greater top speed.
Adam turned his craft and quickly shot off towards a nearby comet that was slowly travelling through space.
"Hehe, where are you going?" The opponent called as he chased after him.
Adam's burst of speed allowed him to pull out of range of the enemy's plasma cannons for a short while however Devil_Prince_Asura soon caught up with their greater speed and started firing at him again.
As Adam swerved left, right and performed barrel rolls trying to avoid the incoming fire Devil_Prince_Asura laughed and chatted away.
"Hahaha nice roll, ohh that one almost got you. Damn that was close, how are you so good at evading friend?"
As Adam reached the comet he darted around it breaking line of site with Devil_Prince_Asura before suddenly shutting down all his non essential systems to hide his energy signature as much as possible from the opponents basic sensors in the asteroids shadow.
[Beczontop (Imperial Down): Oh shit did the streamer just shut his ship down including shields?]
[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): He must be trying to lower his energy output so that his opponents basic sensors can't detect him, the starter ones are kinda crap after all.]
[SciFifanboy (Earth): He's toast if his opponent finds him though right? Kekeke]
[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): Oh yeah.]
Adam had gotten used to how poor the basic sensors were when he was playing the campaign mode and knew they couldn't detect a ship below a certain energy output level.
"Huh where'd you go bro? Don't tell me you crashed in the asteroid and died? Nah can't be the match is still going."
As Devil_Prince_Asura came around the comet looking for Adam he passed right over him without seeing him since Adam had parked his ship just above the comet's surface.
After Devil_Prince_Asura passed by Adam quickly reactivated his ships systems and shot after him before opening up fire with both the rotating plasma cannons and the ballistic repeaters.
[Noobkiller9000 (Earth): Oh shit it worked.]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): Basic ballistic weapons don't do much against shields but every little helps I guess.]
Normally the ballistic repeaters wouldn't do much damage to a ship's shields but Adam needed to remove them quickly for his plan to work, also he didn't really care about ammo since it was automatically refilled at the start of every new match.
"Oh shit." Devil_Prince_Asura cursed as Adam's plasma shots and ballistic shells collided with his aft shields and started draining them.
He tried to rotate his ship so that the attacks would hit the port or starboard side shields but Adam's anti-gravity drive made him more manoeuvrable so he stuck to targeting the aft shields.
Just as Adam's plasma cannons were starting to overheat and the opponent figured out that turning their ship wasn't working and so gunned their engines to try and out run him the opponents after shields collapsed.
"Shit." Devil_Prince_Asura cursed as warning alarms sounded.
As soon as the shields went down Adam launched all 10 seeker missiles he had one after the other.
[Beczontop (Imperial Down): Streamers going all in on this move, it's an all or nothing gamble.]
[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): Yup his plasma cannons are overheated and need time to cool before he can use them again while he's used almost all his ballistic ammo and he just shot off all his seeker missiles in one go also.]
[Puntanghunter69 (Earth): Hehe shot off in one go.]
[Superhearofangirl (Earth): Gross.]
Warning sirens sounded for Devil_Prince_Asura as his sensors detected he had been locked onto by the incoming seeker missiles.
He gunned his thrusters even more but while his ship had a faster top speed than Spector, his ship couldn't out run the missiles.
He tried some basic manoeuvres to evade them but they kept on his tail since that was the section Adam had targeted.
Just as his shield was about to come back up and he thought he might survive and be able to counter attack the seeker missiles hit and his ship blew up.

[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): Yeah it did, the streamer obviously knew about how bad the basic sensors are.]
[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): He probably played at least the prologue in the campaign mode, that gives you an idea about how bad they are.]
[Beczontop (Imperial Down): Still that was one risky move he pulled off going all or nothing. I love his guts. Kissing emoji]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): He had know choice really, the only difference in equipment between their ships by the looks of it was the drive. If he didn't want to leave it up to fate then he had to take a gamble.]
[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): And we all know how much of a bitch Lady Luck can be.]
[Devil_Prince_Asura (Deverinian 9): Hey bro nice match, let's play again sometime.]
[StealthAssassin9 (Earth): Oh shit the opponent just appeared.]
[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): Guess he left an impression.]
[Devil_Prince_Asura (Deverinian 9): Seriously bro that playing dead trick was risky AF and then you even went all in. A couple more seconds and my shield would have come back up and I would have had you.]
"Haha GG." Adam replied.
[Devil_Prince_Asura (Deverinian 9): GG????]
"It stands for Good Game, it's what you say to your opponent at the end of a match.]
[Devil_Prince_Asura (Deverinian 9): Oh nice, never heard of that saying before, GG bro.]

As Adam was continuing to play PvP matches against different appointments. A popular streamer went live In another part of the Universe.
"HAHAHAHA Are you ready primesters? Because your man 'Prime' is about to kick some tail in Space Rogue." A loud boisterous voice said after going live.
'Prime' as he likes to call himself was a Leonian, a humanoid species that had the tail, face, eyes and even mane of what Adam would call a Lion back on Earth.
