"Now onto today's Impritant news, A 5 year old kid get's brutally murdered by a 60 year old women."
What? I hope the women was treated the same way, smh.
"A 35 year old man tries assaulting a 17 year old but the locals see this and Mob Linch Him, resulting in the Death of the Man."
Deserved, should have tortured him before ending his life.
Maybe cutting him and applying salt, breaking fingers one by one. Trying to cut 1 cm of skin in hands every 10 seconds.
"Water Levels In the sea rise, What does that entail for the future of the world?"
It's the end of the world isn't it? I'm telling you, we are done for.
"A Civilisation that's dated back to 100000 years ago has been cited near **** today."
Aah, Are you serious? 1 Lakh years? That's insane.
"Humans might not actually be a part of this planet. Scientists say."
I've been saying this since i was like 18 years old.
"Life cited at Europa, Monsters as big as 20 storey buildings found under water. Here are the clips."
Damn, i always knew that damn planet was a bad omen for Earth but i didn't expect it to be this bad.
All this and still nothibg about a cricket tournament, Smh.
"Now onto Local sports news, The KCA will be giving a press briefing soon on the future of the sport In korea at 6 PM, So stay tuned."
Oohhh... Fkin Finally, after 3 months there's some news on That.
I hope it's good news.
...
["Hello everyone, I'll get straight to the point. 3 months ago, we held a nation wide Cricketing Tournament and have found excellent talents. And, due to the success of both the streaming of the games and the talent found locally, We have decided to extend the tournament further."]
Further? What do you mean? Please don't tell me you are hoing to chose the top players and have another tournament among them?
That's the only meaning when i hear the word 'Extend'
How sad, i suppose i won't be chosen if that's the case.
because league games wouldn't be in the selector's radar.
[" We are going to pick 150 players from the 300 selected. Create 10 teams and there'll be a 50 over format tournament. The scheme has been accepted by the Ministery of sports, South Korea and the tournament will be held 1 month starting today. That is all, Stipend and other necessary information will be given to you on the website."]
I see, wait a minute. A 50 over format? Out of the 300, 150 will be chosen, doesn't that mean I'll be chosen too?
That does interest me quite a bit.
I have always wanted to play the 50 over format.
It's sad that test cricket isn't a thing yet in korea but it's fine. For now let's focus on 50 over format.
It's probably to increase game awareness this one.
I have never really played 50 over format but watched it on tv alot.
So, the pace of a 50 over format is quite different from a 20 over format and the pitches too are very hard when compared to a 20 over game.
So, that's why the average score on a pitch for 50 overs is 300 while for 20 overs it's atleast 180.
That's why the pace of the game is very different, Not just the scoring rates but also the time itself.
It's very slow and takes ages to complete.
But, that's a challenge in itself.
Being patient, rotating the strike until the bowler get's fed up and bowls a bad ball which you can take advantage of.
It's not mindless slogging like it's in when it comes to 20 overs.
It takes a lot of patience and stamina to play 50 over format.
Maybe it was a good thing that i did a lot of running practice these past few months.
...
You might be wondering why the KCA is giving a press confrence when it can just send it on The website.
It's simple really, Nobody knows what the KCA does. It is rarely active on the website so nobody knows when or what it posts.
that's why they decided to do press briefing so it could reach a wider audience and it'd indirectly get to the cricketers.
Who'll be Notified to open the website.
Because not many people cover cricket, or what the website shares like it does with other sports in korea so they had to use this round about way of soing things.
*Ring ring*
A notification popped up.
"It's no time to be using your mobile, why don't you start beibg serious for atleast a bit Yeong? Maybe, You'll get promoted someday like me."
Ooh... What the heck, That's a huge amount.
8 million? I know it's a big tournament but that's a lot.
It's state level cricket and i've been chosen as one of the best for a big format.
"Hey??"
But, i didn't expect such a hike.
From 3 Million to 8 Million.
"You listening? Hello... Stop ignoring me."
Ooh, i see... Apparently, There are divisions based on the level at which they play.
As I'm treated as a non reserve from the beginning itself i get this hike.
"Argh fu** Whatever."
It's apparently because of a central contract i got from the cricket board.
Which pays me 2 Million monthly. So, that means 6 million is for playing the game while due to the D grade central contract.
I get 2 Million monthly.
Wait a second... I get 2 Million Monthly, if i accept this contract that they sent me.
Which would mean that I'm under direct control of the KCA.
Is it worth it? I do earn the same amout workibg 6-7 hours a day for a whole month.
So, it's a win to get that amount just from playing the game.
Wait, how much is KCA worth right now for them to be Throwing around such cash money.
Ooh, it looks like it's had a hike.
Making 5 and a half billion Won yearly? and gets an annual total amount of 10 Billion won from Both the govt and The ICA (International Cricket Association)
While it's nothing compared to what ICC (Indian Cricket Council) makes which was around 4.4 billion Dollars in that calender year.
Well, a country with a population of 1.5 billion out of which atleast 60% watch the sport so ofcourse it would generate such huge money.
Not to mention what they are actually earning.
People say that ICC is Funding ICA at this point due to the game being dead in the home of cricket.
The entire thing wpuld probably cost about 2 Billion in and of itself.
So, They obviously need the funding of ICA And The government to run the damn thing.
If not, they'd have already gone bankrupt with just 2 tournaments.
But, than why is the givt wasting so much money on this sport?
Well, An annual Money of 50 Billion won comes from the world sports association to revive dead Sports in the country.
And, tehy are probably using that money to help nurture talent in South Korea.
And one of the sports happen to be Cricket.
And since baseball is very popular here, they find that bringing cricket probably wouldn't be such a bad idea.
While these are all just mere speculations on my side and i Don't know the entire truth.
Is it because of the fact that it's
