Chapter 235 - Indomitable

Rush paid no heed to the onslaught of the Evil Dragon Sect, his gaze fixed solely on Xiao Feng, who was cruelly pinned against the wall. The tentacles anchoring him still connected to the Tentacle Duke's grotesque form. His voice trembling with urgency, Rush called out, "You alright, kid? Are you holding up?"

Xiao Feng, feeble and gasping, replied, "I'm… I'm… dying… If you don't pull those tentacles out soon, I really won't make it…"

Relieved to hear Xiao Feng still had the strength for humor, Rush swiftly began extracting the barbed appendages one by one.

Meanwhile, on the other front, Dog's mech-warrior squad unleashed a relentless barrage upon the beasts and dukes alike.

Not only Dog and his mech team but also K had appeared in the cavern, accompanied by a dozen or so psychics, among whom was Lin Ziran.

Rice cast a glance at the bloodied Xiao Feng, fully aware of his regenerative prowess. As long as none of his vital organs were crushed, death was impossible. Stripping off his shirt, revealing two imposing tattoos emblazoned across his chest, Rice charged forward.

To Xiao Feng's surprise, Kerry had also arrived, bringing along operatives from the Alliance Psychic Bureau into the fray.

Leaning weakly against the cavern wall, Xiao Feng urged Rush, "Enough worrying about me. I just need a moment to rest here. You, go with K and teach those bastards a brutal lesson. Damn, it hurts like hell…"

Rush glanced at him and chuckled, "Alright, I hope you think twice before recklessly rushing off again. You went alone to the Evil Dragon Sect's headquarters. If Lin and Lei Yan hadn't tracked the signal on your watch, where would we have even found you? Had we arrived just minutes later, you'd have been skewered like a sieve."

Xiao Feng muttered an expletive but said no more, his glare fixed fiercely on the Tentacle Duke sprawled on the ground.

Following Xiao Feng's gaze, Rush rose and strode over, delivering a fierce kick to the duke's face, then lifted his leg again to strike.

Xiao Feng, regaining a flicker of strength, stopped him, "Don't kill him. Save him for me."

Rush nodded and dragged the Tentacle Duke before Xiao Feng.

At that moment, Rain and the other two soldiers hurried to Xiao Feng's side. Rain, tears streaming down her face, anxiously asked, "Xiao Feng, are you alright?"

Xiao Feng smiled, revealing his pearly white teeth, and wiped Rain's tears with a bloodied hand. "Don't worry, your brother Xiao Feng isn't going anywhere just yet. I'll be fine after a short rest."

"You're lying. Look at those wounds on your body. How could you possibly be okay?" Rain sobbed.

Xiao Feng chuckled softly, "Trust me, I'll be fine…"

Beyond this corner, Dog's mech-warrior squad, Rush, K, the Kill Organization, the Psychic Bureau, and Rice's contingent were locked in fierce battle against the dukes and monstrous horde.

Bai Bai had also broken free from the tentacle bindings and joined the fray, plunging the cavern into utter chaos.

Yet the true powerhouses remained Rush, K, and Dog.

Rush and K's coordination was nothing short of extraordinary. As K conjured massive metallic spikes by his side, Rush expertly controlled them, hurling the deadly projectiles toward the enemy.

Though Rush could also manifest psychic spikes, their power paled in comparison to K's metal constructs, making their partnership all the more formidable.

Armed to the teeth, Dog was a devastating force against the beasts, his weaponry wreaking havoc in the confined space and relieving pressure on his allies.

The remaining six Evil Dragon Dukes, suddenly confronted with this onslaught of psychics, found their morale plummeting.

They were utterly overwhelmed, incapable of mounting any meaningful resistance.

Leaning against the wall, Xiao Feng's stamina gradually returned. Supported by Rain, he slowly rose, eyes locking onto the still-dazed Tentacle Duke with a faint smile. "Rain, how do you think I should deal with this bastard? The one who nearly killed us all?"

Gritting her teeth, Rain growled, "Let Bai Bai tear him apart… How dare he leave your brother Xiao Feng looking like this? I barely recognized you…"

Xiao Feng laughed at her resolve. "Alright…"

At that moment, the Tentacle Duke began to stir, struggling to sit up from his daze.

Two burly soldiers beside Rain were having none of it — they slammed the butts of their assault rifles repeatedly against the duke's head. Without any beast transformation to protect him, the Tentacle Duke was knocked unconscious again.

"Damn…"

"Shit…"

Xiao Feng shook his head and glanced at the ongoing battle within the cavern. Two or three more dukes had been captured and shackled in thick steel chains by K, thrown aside helplessly. Gradually, more and more dukes fell into their grasp, and the tide of the Evil Dragon Sect's beast army began to crumble.

Watching the beasts retreat deeper into the cavern, Xiao Feng sighed deeply, "Looks like fate's still on my side… I'm not done yet."

Rain, slender but strong, supported him. "And you still dare say that? You almost got killed by that bastard! But your friends look pretty formidable. If they hadn't arrived when they did, you might've already been dead. By the way, what exactly do you all do?"

Xiao Feng chuckled softly, "You'll find out in time…"

Curious, Rain's eyes flickered toward the wounds on Xiao Feng's shoulder. To her astonishment, she exclaimed, "Xiao Feng, your shoulder wounds… they've all healed!"

"Heh, that's nothing special — just my regenerative ability," Xiao Feng replied, loosening his grip on Rain's shoulder and stretching lazily. "Damn, Xiao Feng's back from the dead again…"
