Chapter 16 - Chapter 16: Into the Storm (Part 4)

"I think I might have found what we're looking for."

Shen Hao could clearly see the dagger on the outskirts of the tornado, matching the exact description Mo Han had given—right down to the eye in the center.

"Is that it?!" Shen Hao asked to confirm one last time.

"YES, THAT'S IT!"

"CATCH IT BEFORE IT GETS OUT OF OUR HANDS!" Mo Han replied urgently.

Shen Hao was getting closer and closer to the dagger, but just as he was about to reach it, the dagger suddenly sensed his presence. It looked directly at him with its eye and then bolted away at an incredible speed.

"Damn it! It saw us! Its speed is incredible—I can't keep up with it!" Shen Hao shouted in frustration.

"Don't worry, just follow it for now. Try to stay as close as possible!" Mo Han replied.

Shen Hao did as he was told and rushed after it at full speed. He managed to get fairly close, but the dagger was still faster than he could handle.

"I can't keep up with him. Master, mind lending me a hand?!"

"Fine. But this will be the last time I help you. After this, I'll be completely out of energy," Mo Han said seriously.

The dagger was circling the tornado like crazy, overflowing with energy. As Shen Hao chased it, the chaotic energy in the area began affecting him as well.

"Are you ready?" Mo Han asked one last time.

"Yes—do it now!!!"

Mo Han gave all his power to Shen Hao, and with that, he fell into a deep sleep. Shen Hao's speed increased significantly—he was now extremely close to the dagger.

But then, suddenly, the dagger used its power to grab rubble, stones, and anything it could find from within the tornado and hurled it toward Shen Hao.

Shen Hao was caught off guard. He wasn't expecting an attack like this, but he had to defend himself.

Seeing the debris coming at him, he quickly transferred his Qi from his legs to his hands, raised his arms in front of his face, and braced for impact. The rocks and rubble hit him hard. Even though he was protected by Mo Han's Qi and his own, the attack still injured him, and pain shot through his arms.

"Damn it, old man! Why didn't you tell me it would be this powerful?! Damn it—what should I do now?"

As he struggled to keep up, Shen Hao suddenly noticed something. The dagger had stopped attacking for a few seconds. He caught it immediately.

"I see... So you can't use your Qi continuously, huh?"

Shen Hao smirked.

"Now you can't escape from me, you piece of metal!"

He changed tactics, switching from defense to full offense. Instead of blocking the debris, he began dodging everything, focusing only on getting closer.

He waited patiently for the moment when the dagger would stop again to reload its Qi.

And when it did, he charged with everything he had, raising his hand and screaming:

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"

With that, he grabbed the dagger firmly by its handle.
