A Paradis without Titans, a Paradis with people enjoying themselves, children running around, happy people living peaceful lives—that dream takes hold of his ambitious mind, and Levi can't help but dream a little.
Levi licks his lips before grabbing the bag of gold he brought with him.
"There are exactly 1,200 gold coins. At first, we came to Re-estize to get equipment and strange things to fight the Titans," Levo pauses, looking at Erwin speechless beside him, "But I don't think it will be necessary anymore."
Erwin, who is almost always calm, watches the previously emotionless Levi act this way and is stunned for a moment, but thanks to a look that conveys a deep message from Levi, Erwin simply remains silent.
Levi bows to Matt before heading for the store exit, Erwin walking calmly behind him.
However, before Levi can walk out the door, he turns his head to look back with slightly shining eyes.
"Sir Matt, I would like you to visit Paradis someday... Although I think that might be asking too much for a busy man like you," Levi smiles before leaving the store.
Armin watches this with a smile, in his mind he couldn't be happier that someone else is being blessed by Matt, he mutters something before starting to grab a rag and clean the counter.
As this happens, Matt stands watching the store door for a long moment.
"What the hell just happened?" Matt swallows hard. In his mind, this shop was nothing more than a shop with exorbitantly expensive products that were useless. After all, What kind of girl would give him a shop as a gift if it wasn't rubbish?
Matt swallowed hard for a moment before looking at the place where the transparent box should have been.
"Were those books really magical?" Matt thought before shaking his head. Maybe it was some kind of cheap magic trick to fool children. After all, those kinds of tricks were common in Re-estize.
Matt calms down at the thought of this possibility. The transparent box must be one of those trinkets that has some magic that makes them look special, a magic trick, but real magic.
"Yes, that must be it," Matt thinks before smiling at the bag of coins. "Hehehe, I didn't think I'd find another Daisuke Hiyama to swindle..." Matt mumbled before grabbing the heavy bag full of gold coins and going up to the first floor.
But, What if a customer he had cheated came to claim a refund?, Matt had already thought of this possibility before, so with some gold coins he hired a group of adventurers who lived nearby to keep an eye on his shop at all times.
"Ah, by the way, it's time to pay the boys, hahaha," Matt laughs as he remembers the group of adventurers he hired.
That group of adventurers split up and pretended to be ordinary civilians walking near the store or watching the store from a short distance away, all to avoid interrupting Matt's potential customers.
And of course, they also served to deal with customers who were scammed by him. "But it's not a scam..." Matt mutters in his mind, deluding himself that the customers chose to buy the items and he didn't force them, so, in his mind, it's not considered a scam.
Of course, Matt doesn't know that the items in his store actually work, because if he did, Why would he sell them? He'd use them all to empower himself and conquer the world.
Matt decides that's enough work for today, grabs a handful of gold coins and puts them in his personal backpack before going downstairs. Matt tells Armin that work is done for today and then closes the shop.
As he left, Matt gestured with his hands before muttering something about the weather and walking to a nearby restaurant. Matt's action was the signal for the group of adventurers he hired, Sword of Darkness.
Matt entered the tavern where he was greeted by a beautiful elf. He reserved a table for several people and ordered something to eat and drink. The elf quickly accepted the order with a smile, and Matt sat down at the table to wait.
A couple of minutes later, the group of adventurers he hired arrived.
Four people in total, three men and a girl who looks and dresses like a man.
"Peter, Ninya, Lukrut, Dyne," it's a pleasure to see you again, Matt greets the adventurers sitting at the table with him cheerfully.
"Darling, it's been a while since you invited us for a drink, hehehe," Ninya said as she approached Matt alone. After all, Matt, being a man who lived a good life, had recently seduced Ninya with sweet words.
"Hehehe," Matt simply laughed nervously. After all, he was just joking at first. As a sour-faced, middle-aged man, he liked to tease people in his previous life.
In this new life, where ethics and morals did not exist, Matt liked to flirt with all kinds of girls just to see their reactions. He did the same with Ninya a couple of times, but Matt never expected this girl to accept his advances.
One thing led to another, and Matt didn't realize when Ninya spent a couple of nights in his bed on the first floor of the store.
Now, Matt doesn't know how to react. After all, even though Ninya is beautiful, he's not the kind of guy who commits to a girl for more than one night, he was always the funny lone wolf of the group.
Of course, it's not that he didn't want to, it's that he couldn't, and his nights were based on hiring girls to do the dirty work, and now that he has something close to a girlfriend, Matt feels strange.
"Your hair, Are you letting it grow?" Matt makes a casual comment when he sees Ninya's hair is shinier and a little longer than usual.
"Did you notice?" Ninya stands up, looks at Matt with two bright eyes, a smile forms on her face before she hugs Matt happily, "Yes, I wish to have long, beautiful hair... for, for you" Ninya murmurs as she blushes.
Seeing this, the other adventurers can't help but sigh with some regret. After all, Ninya is becoming more and more feminine, and if this continues, it is estimated that she will soon leave the group to become a housewife.
"Sir Peter, I'm afraid we'll soon have to post an ad for a new vacancy in the group..." Lukrut murmurs close to Peter as he drinks some of the alcohol brought by the elf waitress.
For his part, Peter scratches his chin before shaking his head, "I'm afraid it can't be helped. Sooner or later, this day would come. I'm glad that at least Ninya has set her sights on someone with money," Peter smiles.
After all, in a place like Re-estize, if a low-ranking adventurer girl like Ninya could even be the mistress of someone who earns at least one gold coin a month, that would be considered a great achievement.
Someone like Matt, who can hire the Sword of Darkness group and pay each of them two gold coins a month, is something many adventurers dream of in their sweetest nights.
For his part, the warrior and greatest of them all, Dyne simply smiles as he watches the group enjoy a moment of peace.
"Darling, Why don't you try some of the meat? It's the specialty here," Ninya smiles as she picks up a large piece of meat from the plate on the table with chopsticks and slowly brings it to Matt's mouth.
"This is strange..." Matt thinks before opening his mouth, and indeed, it seems that the meat is the restaurant's specialty.
...
At the top of a small mountain, several zombies are constantly collecting wood, and another group of zombies are working in a small mine, extracting gold that is then deposited in a large black structure that resembles a fantasy building.
Observing all this, Hiyama smiles slightly.
"The necropolis has been completed. For now, I must focus on establishing a territory, infesting the land, and obtaining more resources to construct more buildings," Hiyama murmurs to himself before observing the villagers who survived the attack on the Carne village.
These villagers followed him to this mountain, all thanks to the influence that Kel'Thuzad's magic had on their minds.
It's not that Kel'thuzad completely controls them, but rather that his magic influences the villagers' thoughts. After all, they still have free will.
"Sir Hiyama, we are all here to receive training..." Enri Emmot, the girl who showed the most talent when it came to organization, bows before Hiyama, and a bunch of villagers behind her also bow.
"Hmph, well, for the moment our goal is simply to establish a territory where we, the Undead, rule, but for that I need to train you..." Hiyama says. After all, for his territory, he needs to train Acolytes, Necromancers, Plague-lords, and all kinds of warriors who use necromancer magic.
Hiyama quickly uses his magic to assess the abilities and strengths of each villager, dividing them into groups.
Approximately twenty villagers would be trained to become Acolytes, five would be trained to be Necromancers, another five to become Plague-lords, and only two men were fit to become Terror-lords.
And only Enri Emmot had the talent to become someone of the Hero class.
With all this ready, Hiyama began to distribute several books to the villagers, each with instructions on how they should practice.
Just then, Hiyama faced his first challenge, because the villagers looked at the books with nervous smiles and pleading eyes.
"They can't read," Hiyama cursed in his mind before starting to teach them how to read.
...
The next day.
"Hey, Did you hear? Sir Gazeff returned to Re-estize, looking emaciated. I've never seen him like that before. Some people say he was responsible for the massacre of an entire village..."
"Be quiet, You fool!! Don't you know that the guards are arresting anyone who talks about this?"
