Chapter 24 - Dragon Ancestor

Faced with Ao Tian's terrifying pressure, Tang Hao actually felt as though even his soul was about to tremble.

He had never felt anything like this before. Perhaps even the legendary Rank 99 wouldn't be more overwhelming than this.

Realizing something was wrong, Tang Hao turned and fled without the slightest hesitation.

Even if he still believed he could put up a fight, he didn't want to stay.

After all, this was within Nuoding Academy. If a battle broke out here, it would likely hurt innocent people.

Most importantly, Tang San was also inside.

Moreover, if he fought a terrifying opponent like this, he would have to go all out. If that happened, his identity and whereabouts would be exposed, inevitably drawing strict scrutiny from the Spirit Hall.

A terrifying force erupted from within Tang Hao, and with each step he took, the ground visibly trembled and cracked. A single leap could launch him dozens of meters forward.

Though he could fly, flying consumed too much energy, and wasn't as fast as running.

Running on the ground also offered cover from buildings. He didn't believe that white-robed young man would go so mad as to attack recklessly—after all, people were still inside those buildings.

Ao Tian didn't give chase, but his aura continued to press down on Tang Hao, making him feel as if a thorn were piercing his back. He didn't dare stop for even a second.

Just a few steps away, Xiao Wu saw the black-robed man suddenly flee and stopped in confusion.

But then, a terrifying thought flashed through her mind.

That handsome white-robed young man had actually scared off a Titled Douluo? Didn't that mean… he might also have the strength of a Titled Douluo? And didn't that mean… he had seen through her identity at a glance?

Cold sweat instantly poured down Xiao Wu's back, and immense fear engulfed her heart.

After turning into a human, she had long since lost her 100,000-year-old soul beast cultivation. Facing a powerful human expert, she was truly just a fragile little bunny.

"Little 100,000-year bunny, what are you afraid of?" Ao Tian said with a smile, watching Xiao Wu with great interest.

"I... I don't know what you're talking about?" Xiao Wu kept retreating, her small head shaking like a rattle-drum.

"100,000-year Soft-Boned Charming Rabbit, am I right?" Ao Tian advanced step by step.

A look of despair appeared on Xiao Wu's face. Being recognized by a human expert—did she still have any chance of survival?

Suddenly, she deeply regretted it—regretted not listening to her mother and insisting on going out adventuring.

Suddenly, a flash of lightning crossed her mind, and her eyes lit up.

"You just said you're Ao Tian's brother, and I'm Ao Tian's good friend!"

She then cupped her hands around her mouth and, using all her strength, shouted at the surroundings:

"Ao Tian! Where are you?! Your brother's here—come out quickly!"

She understood—only Ao Tian could save her now.

"Alright, alright." Ao Tian waved his hand, deciding not to tease Xiao Wu anymore.

He sensed that under his aura, Tang Hao had already escaped Nuoding City and was quickly moving away.

He needed to go and meet this legendary figure of the Clear Sky Sect, the Douluo titled after the Clear Sky.

Xiao Wu stopped her "cry for help" and stared blankly at Ao Tian.

She saw Ao Tian's figure flicker—and then vanish into thin air.

"Gone?" Xiao Wu muttered. "Was that teleportation? But I didn't see his martial soul or soul rings..."

Now that both terrifying powerhouses had left, Xiao Wu didn't rush to escape.

She understood—at her current strength, if a Titled Douluo truly targeted her, it would be impossible to escape no matter what she did.

Thinking for a moment, she returned to sit on that large rock.

Her mind was a mess. She needed to think things through—should she still stay at Nuoding Academy?

After a soul beast takes human form, they must stay close to humans and absorb their aura in order to grow rapidly.

However, before reaching maturity, the lingering soul beast aura on her body couldn't fool a Titled Douluo—even some powerful Soul Douluo could see through her identity.

Once she reached maturity, she wouldn't need to fear being seen through anymore.

If she left here, she would have to go to another human city.

Outside Nuoding City, within just a few minutes, Tang Hao had already dashed five kilometers away.

Yet that terrifying pressure still loomed over him.

When leaving Nuoding City, he had realized that the white-robed man hadn't followed.

But the pressure still locked onto him, meaning that white-robed man didn't intend to let him go.

"This is far enough." Tang Hao stopped and turned to look at the distant Nuoding City.

He had become a Titled Douluo in his early forties, hailed in the soul master world as the youngest ever Titled Douluo. Yet now, there was a young man who looked only in his twenties, possibly even more terrifying than him.

It was simply unbelievable. How could someone in their twenties reach the Titled Douluo realm?

Tang Hao felt his worldview crumble. Achieving Titled Douluo status in one's twenties—this was absolutely unprecedented!

So he became deeply interested in the white-robed youth. Did he really possess the strength of a Titled Douluo? How had he trained? Where had he come from?

Tang Hao stood quietly in the dark, adjusting his state while waiting for the white-robed youth to arrive.

He was certain the man would come—because the aura locking onto him hadn't withdrawn.

At the same time, he was deeply shocked—this person could lock onto him from five kilometers away?

Tang Hao knew that with his current spiritual strength, he absolutely couldn't cover that range.

His estimation of the white-robed youth's power rose to an entirely new level.

Suddenly, Tang Hao's pupils contracted. About fifty meters ahead, a white-robed figure appeared out of thin air.

What kind of technique was this? Tang Hao was stunned.

At the moment the man appeared, he hadn't sensed the slightest ripple. Even teleportation would cause faint spatial fluctuations!

Moreover, the man had no visible soul rings, which baffled Tang Hao and made him feel a deep dread.

"Who exactly are you?" Tang Hao was the first to ask.

"Shouldn't I be the one asking that? You've barged into my territory—what are you up to, Lord Clear Sky?" Ao Tian smiled.

Tang Hao was shocked. "How do you know who I am?"

He realized—since the other could call out his identity, there was no point in hiding it.

Ao Tian pointed to his own eyes and said,

"No one can hide their identity in front of my Fiery Golden Eyes."

"Since you've seen through my identity, according to the soul master world's rules, you should reveal your name as well." Tang Hao said.

Ao Tian thought for a moment—what title should he give himself?

As a member of the ancient dragon race, he was a unique existence in the Douluo World.

After some thought, Ao Tian said:

"You may call me Dragon Ancestor—as in ancestor of all dragons."

Such arrogance, Tang Hao thought to himself.

"If you have such power, why have I never heard of you before?" he asked.

Ao Tian replied,

"I've been in seclusion for countless years. You're the first to hear my name."

"So you're a hidden world expert," Tang Hao nodded.

On the Douluo Continent, not all strong individuals belonged to great sects or forces. Some lived in isolation, focusing solely on cultivation.

He guessed this expert was likely residing in seclusion in Nuoding City, and his reckless spiritual probing earlier had offended him.

"As long as you're not from Spirit Hall..." Tang Hao felt a slight relief.

"Now it's my turn to ask." Ao Tian took a few steps forward, releasing a majestic aura like an ancient divine mountain, completely suppressing Tang Hao.

"You appeared in Nuoding Academy... are you targeting that little soul beast?" Ao Tian's voice was cold, his eyes sharp as he stared at Tang Hao.
