I'm writing the next chapter, and I have this idea to use the Watcher as a narrator. He tells us a bit about Reed during his time skip. He follows him during the day, watches what he does, and is intrigued by him because he is the first Reed Richards who hides his genius. Or is it too early to put him into this story? Or is it a dumb idea?
I also would like to give him Haki in the form of the X-Gene. I had this idea because Sublime will be part of this universe, and I want him to be immune to it—or else, it could control him. It wouldn't be super strong; it can only nullify all X-Gene powers. It would still have all Haki properties from One Piece. So no mind-reading or mind control would work.
Or should I only add Armament Haki and nothing else? Because Observation and Conqueror's are too OP?
He would also get it activated immediately after he gets hit by cosmic radiation.
Or is it too much of a Mary Sue trait, and he should find a scientific solution instead? But it wouldn't be 100% effective because Sublime has the power of biokinesis. Theoretically, it could make things even worse, and Sublime could become part of his DNA. I'm also not a fan of adding more abilities to Reed because he is a genius and made of rubber. Adding something from an anime doesn't feel right. But leaving a plot hole doesn't feel good either.
So, could you give me your opinions?
