{"She summoned the sea, but the sea was mine long before her magic ever knew its name."}
MORKAI'S POV
The sea had been silent for two days, and the silence was not peaceful. The kind of silence that hums in your bones before a war horn sounds. The kind that makes even the sharks swim deeper and the whales fall still. I stood barefoot on the black stone balcony of the Pearl Castle, watching the horizon. The wind licked salt into my skin, but I did not flinch. I had just come back from the deep trenches where the world forgets light exists, and yet, something now stirred in the shallows.
Then it came, a tremor, and not in the castle but in the sea itself.
BOOM.
The entire Pearl Castle shuddered like it was alive and frightened. I turned immediately. "Tharion. Thalia. Lysander!"
The roar of water echoed through the chambers, and I heard the trident-heavy footsteps of my general before I even finished calling.
