Chapter 187 - Chapter 187 : "Universe Underworld"

Kenthelion's Study – Imperial Palace, Terra Aeterna

Amid the grandeur of the Terra Aeterna capital's palace, Emperor Kenthelion's study was quiet yet heavy with tension. Holographic star charts adorned the walls, fleet icons flickered across floating tactical panels, and war reports cycled automatically in midair displays.

Kenthelion sat calmly behind his desk of black adamantium, awaiting Jim Raynor's arrival. His calm was broken by the tone of the official Imperial Caelestis communications channel. A senior officer appeared as a blue holographic projection.

Imperium Caelestis Officer:

"Your Majesty, we have the latest report from High Commander Castellan Ursarkar E. Creed. The front line cannot be abandoned at present. Alien fleets from the Mid Rim and Outer Rim seem to be coordinating, attempting to break through our defensive blockade."

Imperium Caelestis Officer (continuing):

"The Commander requests additional support. At least 4,600 warships are needed to hold our position in the border sector."

Kenthelion tapped his fingers lightly on the desk surface, gaze sharp as he studied the slowly rotating galactic map before him. He knew the Avatar world had been subdued and most of the fleet there had returned.

Kenthelion:

"The fleet sent to the Avatar world has returned, yes? Send all of them to the front alongside Angron. Leave only ten percent behind to accompany me to the next universe. We need more manpower to defend the Imperium."

Officer:

"Understood, Your Majesty."

With that, the communication ended. Kenthelion took a slow breath and then bent his attention back to the stack of administrative reports—everything from weapons production to Spartan serum distribution for rear-line troops.

---

One Month Later – Terra Aeterna

A month had passed. Kenthelion had settled internal affairs and ensured stable logistics for the front lines. Now, it was time to depart for the next universe.

He summoned a stationed officer in Terra Aeterna to confirm available forces.

Kenthelion:

"How many ships do we have ready here at Terra Aeterna now?"

Imperium Caelestis Officer:

"Your Majesty, we have one thousand Battlecruisers. They just rolled off the production lines at the Aeterna Prime orbital docks. That fleet is under General Mira Han's command."

Hearing the name, Kenthelion paused briefly, a slight twitch at the corner of his mouth. Mira Han? The eccentric mercenary—and Matt Horner's wife?

In Kenthelion's mind:

When did Mira Han enter the roster? I haven't even summoned her... Damn, this system's getting ridiculous with its famous names list.

His system only allowed access to well-known or significant figures from various universes via war points—otherwise random. Mira and Matt Horner's marriage was far from ordinary.

> According to StarCraft archives, Mira and Matt wed as part of a wild wager or business contract. Mira considered them officially married and was proud; Matt, though awkward, honored the bond despite often feeling intimidated.

Yet one fact remained—when they fought side by side, they were unstoppable. Their efficiency, cohesion, and chaos made for a deadly combination.

Kenthelion exhaled.

Kenthelion (murmuring):

If Mira leads, I must brace for strange surprises every moment... But undeniably, she's fiercely effective in the field.

---

Kenthelion had decided: he would personally lead the expedition into the next universe, and this time, the fleet under Mira Han's command would accompany him. With his staff and guards, the Emperor strode purposefully to Terra Aeterna's main port, where the colossal Battlecruisers awaited in near-perfect formation.

As Kenthelion stepped down from his transport, a cheerful yet commanding voice greeted him from a distance.

Mira Han:

"Oooh~ The Emperor Himself visits my port? Ha! So, what can I do to make Your day even better, my lord?"

Kenthelion offered no small talk. His gaze was firm, focused on the mission.

Kenthelion:

"Mira, you will lead the fleet into the new universe alongside me. In return, I will grant you whatever reward you desire."

Mira's eyes narrowed with interest, a playful smile curling on her lips like a sailor welcoming a storm she can't wait to ride.

Mira Han:

"Heh~ Orders gratefully accepted, Your Majesty. But... may I ask what this reward might be, hm?"

Kenthelion nodded lightly, as if he'd anticipated the question.

Kenthelion:

"You will have free rein to build bases and manage territory as you wish, so long as it supports Matt Horner. And as a bonus—I grant your husband a full three months' leave. Satisfied?"

Mira's smile transformed into her trademark sly grin, full of excitement and just a hint of mania.

Mira Han (teasingly):

"Hahaha~ Of course I'm satisfied, Your Majesty! Both rewards... they're worth more than any planet I've ever claimed! Finally some time alone with my beloved husband!"

Kenthelion nodded once, then stepped forward.

Kenthelion:

"Prepare the ships. We depart at once."

It took little time for Kenthelion and his entourage to board Mira Han's flagship. Behind them, a thousand Battlecruisers fell into combat formation, ready to breach the boundaries of reality.

Minutes later...

Dimensional rifts began to open high above. The Dimensional Gate—fusion technology of warp science and Xel'naga relics—glowed with a violet-blue aura. Space and time creaked, like glass bending on the verge of shattering.

A deep blue light bathed the entire fleet as the resonance systems peaked. Energy waves danced across the hulls, painting cold steel with fractured-reality hues.

Warship Officer:

"Gate stable... energy at maximum... preparing warp surge... Countdown: five... four... three... two..."

Mira Han (loudly, enthusiastically):

"Dimension Expedition begins!! All ships—engage warp trajectories!! Don't keep me waiting!!"

---

The warp rift tore reality in Mars orbit—the red world now witness to an interstellar power unseen in the Solar System. A thousand Battlecruisers emerged from the void, led by the flagship Iron Revenant under Mira Han. Their engines roared through emptiness, and the lingering warp glow made surrounding space appear painted in dimensions.

In the main control room, a war officer bowed to two dominant figures on the bridge: Kenthelion and Commander Mira Han.

Warship Officer:

"Your Majesty Emperor, Commander Han... we have located Planet Earth. However, based on data from their communications networks and satellites... this world remains in their 2nd millennium."

Kenthelion narrowed his eyes, signaling to continue.

Warship Officer:

"But there is something odd, my lord. After scanning the atmosphere and global information networks, we detected evidence of mutant beings."

Kenthelion:

"Mutants?"

Mira Han folded her arms, curiosity flickering on her face.

Mira Han:

"Explain further. What kind of mutants do you mean?"

Warship Officer:

"Data indicates some humans can transform into wolves—they call themselves Lycans. Additionally, there are entities with genetic traits akin to bats—they call themselves vampires. These two races seem locked in a long-standing conflict behind humanity's shadows."

The officer displayed several holographic images: blurry scenes of a nighttime rooftop battle, silhouettes of fur-clad creatures with glowing eyes, and a woman armed, eyes glowing blue, clad in tight leather.

Kenthelion was silent for a moment. Memories from an old life surfaced—yes, he recognized this world: Underworld. A realm of darkness and intrigue, where aristocratic vampires and rebel Lycans fought in immortal wars rife with deception and secret experiments.

Kenthelion:

"Underworld... This world will make for an interesting diversion."

He turned to Mira Han.

Kenthelion:

"Mira, you may play freely in this universe. Conduct your experiments, conquer whatever you desire, so long as you do not threaten this planet. Leave ten Battlecruisers in Mars orbit as a precaution."

Mira Han chuckled in her signature style, one eyebrow arched.

Mira Han:

"Heh~ Very well, Your Majesty. But if you fail to return or don't check in, I swear I will bomb Inquisition headquarters and drag every Sister of the Sacristy out of their altars just to find you!"

Kenthelion boarded a medivac, followed by thirty lightly armored guards. The craft dove through the atmosphere, piercing the dark night over Europe. Their destination: Budapest, Hungary.

At that moment, a digital voice—sharp yet playful—issued from Kenthelion's wrist device. A holographic face of a young girl with glowing red eyes and a bobbed digital hairstyle appeared.

Red Queen:

"Big brother~ Have you found a body for me yet?"

Kenthelion sighed.

Kenthelion:

"Not yet. It may take longer. Be patient a little more."

Red Queen:

"But if I wait, may I stay here with you~? I can help hack all the security systems in this world. Oh, and—I found someone suitable for you: a woman in tight black leather with eyes that sometimes glow. Shall I style her to your taste~?"

Kenthelion:

"If you keep talking like that, I'll hand you over to the Mechanicus. They'd love to dismantle each chip in your body one by one."

Red Queen giggled.

Red Queen:

"All right, all right~ I'll track down that woman for you. Her name... Selene."

When night peaked over Budapest, the medivac landed quietly on an ancient building's roof. Kenthelion had shifted to a normal human size, wearing a long dark coat bearing the imperial emblem on its back. His guards fanned out, blending into the city's shadows, while the medivac returned to orbit.
