In the kitchen, sitting on the breakfast chairs, we were facing each other with a sharp glance.
"What happened to her, that you can't find her, Mademoiselle Amber Dubois?" I asked her, leaning on my hands on the table.
"Her ex boyfriend took her away from me. I became an enemy of my bestie Caroline Garnier. Due to which, we are not in contact anymore."
"What happened between you?"
"Her boyfriend first got crushed on me. We were not on good terms. We used to fight a lot for Caroline. But in the fighting journey, he got obsessed with me, wildfully. There became a circle of lovelorn, Caroline loved that bastard, he likes me, I love Caroline as my dear friend. I did not know about his obsession towards me, I got to know when I was invited to his house for a night party, Caroline too. He told me that she is studying for her company exam. He also told me to start the party before she arrives, and also he said that it was told by her, which was in fact not. Well, then while drunk, he got wild and he harassed me sexually that night, when I was trying to push him away from me. But then, Garnier appeared before us. And I became evil in front of her eyes, even he became, at that time. I tried to explain to her, but after scolding me, she left. But yet he didn't leave me, he gripped me so tightly, I could barely move my body. But after that night, in the morning, I left quickly before he woke up after sleeping. Then I tried to call her several times, but she didn't pick up any of my calls. But then after a few days I found her phone switched off. But yet I didn't give up, I tried to call her and one day, she picked up. Finally… but after hearing the voice, I got her boyfriend talking. He told me that he managed to capture her heart by his freaking sweet words. He has also told me that he is trying to have a double date with her and me. He also told her that I was the only one who was doing abnormal behaviour towards him."
"Oh dear!" I exclaimed, hearing that. But Monsieur Oak was the one who told her about double dating to her in Caroline's ex boyfriend's voice.
"And yesterday, I went to meet her physically. But as soon as I knocked on the door of her room, I found another unknown person, who opened the door. I thought he might be her distant relative. I asked him about Caroline Garnier. He told me that he didn't know about her. Then I moved to the owner's room and asked about Caroline. So she told— one night she saw her boyfriend gone to her room. And that night only, they both left with some luggages. She thought that they might have got patched up. And and…" she continued, "That owner was already know about them, dating each other. And she also got that they must got into fight because every weekends, she find Caroline's boyfriend in her home. But since few weekends, she found that they might have had a fight. She also dared to ask her about matter, where she found that her only bestie and her boyfriend, cheated on her. That owner was asking me as if she was confirming, if she is right. But I shook my head to no, and told her everything about the matter. And her expression was merciful upon me. Telling me… try try but don't cry! She told me however they must have patched up. And also she called her, for the money for the rent. So she told me that she left from there and is now staying somewhere else. She added- maybe with her ex boyfriend, she is now living. Neither she nor me, knows the address of her, I think you or your dad might get to know about her address, as you are in an unknown organisation. Right?!"
"Of course not!" I told her. Hearing that Caroline left with her ex boyfriend, I thought — Mr. Thomas might have disguised to murder her. And about she left with him, I guess I have to ask Mr. Thomas only talks about all these things. But now, I am trapped between the organisation members, Amber and Madame Bourgeois and David… I- I guess.
"Hey, why can't you?" Amber asked me.
"Ughhrrr! I will see now!" I told her.
"Thank you so much, Ms. Ariadne. I will make sure not to open my mouth about you all in front of anybody. But does Nancy know?"
"Noop! She doesn't! Don't dare tell her about us."
"Yes, ma'am!" She beamed at me.
In fact, I thought not to try to track Caroline or else we are the ones who will be in danger.
She was smiling at me laying on the table, with her eyes closed and I was glaring at her sight, folding hands and sitting straight.
