Chapter 51 - Arc 2 - Chapter 1

Chapter 1: | Emergence of an Emperor

---

The Mara world was peaceful until holograms began to appear on all lifeforms throughout the world, be it sapient or not.

Chaos erupted as the hologram announced the birth of a new Emperor of a race known to all.

Whether from childhood tales or ancient rumors, the Emperor of that very race had been on the throne hundreds, no, thousands, of years ago.

The world trembled in fear at his strength.

None could rival that being, he was a menace, a legend among Emperors that even the Divine Emperor couldn't fight.

Chaos erupted from towns, cities, capitals, and the Emperor's expressions turned sour as they read the announcement.

A new era was beginning.

The birth of the most savage Emperor was heralded.

---

[A new Emperor has emerged.]

[The Whark has now regained its Emperor.]

[The Ascension of the Whark now depends on its Emperor.]

[The dimensional record cheers the great event of the Mara world.]

[Alister Von Fai, The Emperor of the Whark, has finished his evolution.]

[Now rise, Emperor, and conquer the world.]

---

The world shook.

Deep in the realm of water, thousands of miles below the seabed of the Lake of Dreadnought, the sound of porcelain shattering could be heard.

CRASH!

The Queen's hands trembled as Neriadna and Elisa smiled.

"Congratulations, Your Majesty, it seems that your husband has finally appeared."

Elara's smile was wide as she blushed.

"Finally he appeared!"

---

In the central continent of the Mara world lies a small kingdom ruled by the Divine Emperor.

His hands were delicate, like a woman's hands, as his eyes were fixated on the reports.

He sighed.

"It seems that a race of troublemakers has finally regained its Emperor. Well, I congratulate them, since it has been stuck at Stage 2 for nearly a thousand years."

His gaze shifted, then directed at his wife.

"What's your take on this, Claudia?"

Claudia smiled as she took a sip of her tea.

"We should send an envoy and congratulate them, my lovely Sylvia."

Sylvia let out a chuckle.

"That's a good idea, Claudia, but who should we send down the Abyss?"

Claudia pondered for a moment.

Her golden locks swayed as her enchanting red eyes glowed like a ruby.

"How about the Second Prince?"

Sylvia caressed his chin for a moment before nodding.

"Zeke should be able to dive that deep since he's mastered the affinity of water."

---

Then, in an unknown, deep place, powerful and extremely muscular beings sat across a round table, glaring at each other.

The runic markings on their bodies glowed as armor made of an unknown metal adorned them.

A voice echoed, loud and boisterous.

"FINALLY, OUR RACE HAS GAINED AN EMPEROR!"

Then another shouted.

"SHUT UP, STROVAN! YOU'RE TOO DAMN LOUD AND WE DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE THE EMPEROR IS!"

Strovan closed his mouth as the Head Elder Allen commanded.

Then, with a loud crash, Allen's hands slammed the table as he shouted.

"YOU DAMNED BASTARDS! WHICH BREEDING GROUND DID THE EMPEROR ALISTER VON FAI COME FROM!"

One raised a hand.

"Head Elder, the overseers who were placed to handle the North, South, East, and Central Continents reported that the new Emperor wasn't born there. From the breeding grounds that we erected in the Abyss, there's been no news since we've pretty much abandoned them a few decades ago."

Allen nodded.

"Then how about the West, Michael, the breeding ground that we built in the Lake of Dreadnought?"

Michael sighed.

"No news so far, and the possibility of the Emperor being born there is about ninety-nine percent."

Then Michael added.

"A few months ago, Kergo, one of the Overseers in the West, reported before his death that the Emperor of Dreadnought took interest in the breeding ground and killed him."

Allen's gaze darkened.

"So you're saying that the Emperor escaped from that breeding ground?"

Michael nodded.

"Yes, just as you have said. Since the supplies on that breeding ground have been cut off due to the interference of the Emperor of Dreadnought, the possibility of the Emperor escaping is certain."

Allen stroked his beard.

"Hmm, tell me the expected time that an Emperor will emerge from the breeding ground?"

Michael grinned.

"About a decade is needed to cultivate an excellent Emperor on the breeding ground."

Strovan shouted.

"THEN OUR EMPEROR ALISTER VON FAI IS A MONSTER AMONG MONSTERS, RIGHT!"

Allen nodded.

"Brainless fool, but you're right about that, since the Emperor has only taken a single year to ascend to that level by himself."

Realization struck Michael.

"It can't be that the Emperor was born with a bloodline for it to be possible! Or perhaps the Emperor has found a dungeon hidden really well in the Lake of Dreadnought that even its ruler is unaware of."

Allen shouted.

"THEN WE NEED TO SCOUR THE LAKE AND PROTECT THE EMPEROR FROM THE CLAWS OF THAT BEAST!"

Allen shouted.

"YOU THERE, YOU USELESS FOOLS, Strovan, Natalia, and Soven, GO AND SECURE THE EMPEROR!"

Michael raised his hand in opposition.

Allen cast a disdainful gaze.

"Are you opposing my order, Michael?!"

Michael scoffed.

"No, I am not opposing your decision, Grand Elder, but perhaps send me along since I specialize in tracking."

Allen scratched his butt.

"Well, how could I forget about it? Now go."

---

Somewhere in the land of Fantasia, a beautiful woman with golden locks and long eyelashes hummed as she jumped from tree to tree.

It was Liora, now traveling in the great mountain range, one of the forbidden zones on the Fantasia Continent.

Her hands were covered in blood as her body blurred from time to time as her hands pierced the hearts of high ogres and the like.

Her eyes perked up.

"Oh, it seems that my lovely boy has finally ascended to the ranks of Emperors."

She giggled.

"I wonder how handsome you are right now."

She sighed.

"It's such a shame that this beautiful ancestor of yours won't be able to help you on your journey right now."

Balls of golden particles gathered at the tip of Liora's fingers as she shot them through the armored earth dragons.

Explosions erupted, the air screamed from the force as blood splashed from everywhere, but none got on Liora's clothing.

Liora stretched as she moaned from the relief.

"Was it a few weeks ago that I reached and ascended to Tier 10?"

"Well, it was a breeze reaching that tier since the offspring of some powerful Emperor of the Lake of Dreadnought challenged me."

Liora scratched her scalp.

"Well, it died after I ripped apart its throat. Even though I am quite weak, underestimating me was always a death wish."

Liora brushed her chin.

"But I wonder how powerful that perverted guy is? Did ascending to the ranks of Emperorhood make him a bit smarter?"

Liora sighed.

"Ahhhh, I can't help but worry about that dumb descendant of mine."

---

At the capital of the Empire ruled by the Sun God Surya.

Surya's gaze was warm as he glanced at his wife, Sefae, and his daughter, Julian.

"Hey, Sefae, should we send a Sun Holder to eradicate this Alister Von Fai?"

Sefae played with her daughter for a while as she gazed at her husband.

"No, don't provoke those crazy bastards."

Julian let out a beaming smile as she asked.

"Mommy, what are 'crazy bastards'?"

Sefae let out an awkward smile.

"'Crazy bastards' mean handsome, and you should only use these words when you find a handsome man."

Surya's smile broke.

"Dear, you can't be..."

But was silenced by Sefae.

Julian smiled as she nodded cutely.

"Heh, heh, Julian will remember it."

Surya tried to speak, but a massive ice hand forced him shut.

Sefae smiled.

"Remember, Julian, to tell us if you like a boy around your age."

Julian nodded cutely.

"Yes, Mommy, I will tell you. I promise."

Sefae smiled as she whispered into Julian's ears.

"Dear, can you play with your big brother Siegfried for a while? Mommy will bake you some snacks if you do, I promise."

Julian's eyes gleamed.

"Really, Mommy? You promise? Pinky finger?"

Sefae nodded.

Julian smiled and ran out of the room, then into the hallways along with her maid as she excitedly giggled.

Surya was finally free from his wife's hands.

"Sefae, should we or should we not?"

Sefae smiled.

"We should not. You have already detected where that Alister Von Fai was, right?"

Surya nodded.

"In the Lake of Dreadnought below the Crab Expanse."

Sefae smiled.

"And that's why we shouldn't provoke those 'crazy bastards' needlessly, since it is pretty much predictable that they are going to clash with Akarim Delight, the Ruler of the Lake."

Surya pondered, then nodded.

"You are right about that, and provoking those desperate Wharks right now is truly not a good option."

Sefae smiled as she reached for a porcelain cup.

"That's why you should have studied more, dear."

Surya scratched his head as he let out a light chuckle.

His gaze was fixated on Sefae's eyes.

"But don't I have my beautiful wife?"

Sefae flushed from Surya's words.

"You... you truly have your ways with words."

---

Back in the dungeon.

Alister Von Fai awoke.

He muttered his first words.

"Who am I?"
