As Lilah slept, Kael gently stroked her hair, enjoying the quiet moment together.
He had his private jet in the airport as well as a teleportation system, ready to transport him anytime he wanted, but he didn't want to arrive as soon as possible so they took the jet.
He was surprised how Lilah was able to sleep for so long but he imagined she must've been exhausted to that extent. It was just five hours to country X so he had five hours to admire her in the serenity before they arrived and received various interruptions.
'I don't know why but I'm moved to do everything for her.' he thought.
Surely, he, too, would find it strange that he was going this far for a girl he just met, but he wasn't complaining. In fact, he wasn't going to find out why he was so moved.
He just wanted to do it.
