You really did it.
When I opened my eyes, I was sitting on a chair, facing a chained version of myself...
"Surprised? Yeah, I'm not the one in chains anymore."
"How did you do it?" I asked.
"Seriously? I was hoping you'd figured it out by now. You and I are one soul, just split. You're incomplete, and so am I."
"It's true... We were mad before. But that's normal—we just kept dying, coming back, and dying again…"
"But as you can see, that time is over."
"When you cut yourself with the black sword, you severed our soul completely. I had planned for that—it drew both your fragments and mine here. That's how I managed to free myself."
"Incredible… So all this time, I've been talking to myself. And your plan—is it for us to become one soul again, with full control?" I asked.
"No one will control the other. We are both parts of Tony Morga. We will become whole again."
"How about a fight before we fuse?" I said, grabbing the black sword.
"Fine. Since there's only one black sword, I'll take the sword of fire and lightning."
"Let's go!" I shouted, launching Lightning Slash.
He charged straight through the attack and countered with Blazing Flame.
Our swords clashed, and the only colors that stood out were black and red.
After a minute, neither of us had the upper hand.
"Looks like we're evenly matched," I said.
"AAAH AAAH, don't talk nonsense! The time is near. Maybe our basic techniques are equal—but not our ultimate attacks. Let me show you the true might of a soul that spent over two thousand years chained!"
An intense pressure burst from him. Black flames engulfed his body. The fire and lightning sword turned into a blade of black fire.
I felt one overwhelming emotion: fear. But I was also thrilled—because that attack was ours.
Still, I had to try to block it, even though I knew I'd fail.
I looked at the black sword and dove deep into the depths of the Black Lake.
"If you don't want to go insane in the lake, don't be afraid. Reach the bottom with the will to take more power," a distant voice whispered.
So I changed my mindset. I wasn't there to receive power from the sword anymore.
I was there to take it.
All the madness trying to flood into my mind—I redirected it into the blade and absorbed all the water.
My body changed. My strength multiplied. The black sword became a part of me—no longer sealed.
Even at just ten percent, the sword became sharper, stronger.
I could now manifest its chaos, fueled by the Black Lake I had absorbed.
"So... are you ready for the final attack?"
I wrapped the sword in chaos, looked at him, and said, "Whenever you are."
…We charged at each other at full speed. He raised his black fire-and-lightning sword and attacked with "Black Decay."
I raised my black sword and countered with "Black Bang."
Our attacks were so powerful that both of us trembled. Around us, there was only darkness, lightning, and heat.
A connection formed between us or rather, reformed.
"It's time," I said.
"Yes. And this time, let's make sure we never forget our true purpose."
Our swords clashed, and yet… I felt he was smiling. As if we were shaking hands.
Boom…
Who would've thought me, someone who only sought power, would be manipulated by beings capable of splitting a soul in two?
I, who never had parents. I, rejected by the world, ended up chasing only strength. But now, I'll become the one I was before I met Joseph.
All my enemies who think I'm dead, and those yet to come, your destiny is to perish by my blade.
And this world will tremble at the mention of my name.
