CHAPTER 46
~Spring's POV~
Lucien winced as I twisted his wrist and dug my heel back against his shin. Not hard enough to break anything—but enough to make him curse through his teeth.
"Still as sharp," he hissed, lips curving despite the pain.
"Don't come near me again," I said, shoving his hand off my waist with more force than necessary.
But Lucien—stupid, cocky, Lucien—just smirked. "What's the matter, Sunshine? You're all high and mighty now because you won a child's game? Got five powerful mates ready to worship the ground you walk on?"
I narrowed my eyes.
He leaned in like it was a joke. "Didn't stop you from writing me that love letter back then. Don't forget—you wanted me first."
My hand twitched at my side.
"You really think that little win gives you the right to act like I don't matter anymore?"
I smiled, slowly and coldly. "Correction," I said. "I have four mates and you do not qualify as one of them."
