Later in the classroom, Sei sat in his usual seat. The morning had been awkward; Navi hadn't talked to him since morning. He had just taken a quick bath and come to the classroom. Fari was drained and had gone back to sleep at the dorm.
His head lolled slightly as he sat slumped in his seat, eyes heavy, fighting to stay conscious. Two sleepless nights were finally catching up to him—and hard. He couldn't keep his eyes open in the class while Instructor Shin was teaching something about Nature Energy or something relevant—Sei didn't know. He was lost.
Beside him, Navi sat motionless, quiet, and focused. Her posture was perfect as always. She hadn't said anything to Sei—not even a question, no accusation, nothing.
The silence was worse than yelling.
