Sei turned, eyes narrowing.
The wooden doll rose again, but something was different this time. A swirling dark energy surrounded its body like a storm. And then it all converged into its chest where a blinding light pulsed. The wooden doll's frame swelled, its limbs thickened, the structure growing broader and more menacing. Then its hollow eyes lit to life, an unnatural red color.
Sei frowned, looking at it. "Okay... this is bad. That thing is now 2 meters tall."
Without warning or any movement, the doll attacked. One moment it was meters away—the next, a crater formed where it had stood; the doll was across the platform in a blink. Time seemed to slow down as Sei turned around, catching the red glow of its eyes that hurled towards him.
He ducked low instinctively.
The doll's fist cut through the air above him. The blow would have shattered his skull; a burst of pressure followed with a shockwave.
'What the fuck?'
