"I...I feel insulted...Am I allowed to feel this insulted?" I ask Irina and Xenovia as we reach our shared apartment
"I...don't know," Irina answers as I enter the apartment and begin pacing around
"I am not the best Magician out there, but...seriously...those wards were absolutely pathetic. I feel insulted just thinking about them..." I say out loud while pacing around the room
I take a deep breath as I rub my eyes out of frustration
"You managed to set up the wards you wanted?" Xenovia asks me
"Yeah...and more thanks to some unfinished wards that they tried to spring up. I managed to place a monitoring ward, and I have found that there are 14 humans, most likely rogues from the church, due to the light weaponry and the robes that we saw them wearing. Also...there are at least 4 Fallen Angels in there with them too," I tell them while shaking my head
"To be honest...from what I managed to detect using that ward...we could probably clear the Church out on our own if we wait for the rest of the words to take in enough energy," I say to them
"Which one did you set up?" Irina asks
"I set up a draining ward, a magic storage ward, a restoration ward, and a pressure ward," I answer her
The draining ward will slowly fill up the magic storage ward, which will help power the restoration ward, which will allow us to recover slightly faster while inside it, as well as power the pressure ward, which will apply pressure on all sides against the opponents
"How long will it take to fill up the magic battery ward?"
"Around 3 days or so in order to activate the others successfully and apply them with full efficiency," I tell the 2 of them while thinking about how powerful wards could be when applied correctly...but even if the wards sound powerful...that is not always the case
The magic storage ward can only hold so much magic at a time, and has an output for how much magic it can release at a time to power others. The draining ward is what helps power it
Not only does it draw on ambient magical energy in order to fill itself up, but it can also be set up to drain the people at a faster rate
But that is its biggest downfall too...it also uses the energy it gathers to sustain itself, which is why it's going to take around 3 days in order to fill up the magic storage ward to activate the restoration ward and the pressure ward for a few minutes
Once we are inside, I can speed up the draining of the targets to weaken them a bit and give us an edge over them
The Restoration Ward sounds powerful, but it's something that I am going to use in order to make sure we have enough stamina to fight them longer if we need to
Its real use is to be activated to help while healing from injuries...
The pressure ward applies pressure on all sides to the targets to slow them down and force them to tire themselves out
I would have used the Strengthening Ward instead of the Restoration Ward, but I would have needed to add a few Wardstones of impressive quality in order to apply it and reinforce the Magical Storage Ward to keep up with the amount of magical energy that it requires
But that is where my Boon magic comes into play
I can apply a strengthening, speed up, and defense boon spells to Irina and Xenovia while also using my own versions on myself, and take a few minutes to recover while making use of the Restoration Ward to speed up my recovery
I frowned as I tried to think about our plan of attack.
"We should just go in and destroy anyone in our way," Xenovia suggests, and to my shock...I can't say that does not exactly tempt me to agree with her
Most of the data I gathered with the Wards points toward the Rouge Exorcists being rather inexperienced, and the Fallen Angels to be Low-Class if anything...but it does make alarm bells ring in my head
I just know that they are not responsible for the attacks on the Church or the theft of the Excaliburs...but they might be connected in some way that I don't know about yet...
"I agree with Xenovia...besides...from what I felt...they may actually be killing people in the city," I say, frowning as I just remembered feeling the number of lifeforces decreasing inside the Church
"That's strange...I didn't hear anything about there being disappearances," Irina says out loud, and I frown as I realize what is going on instantly
"They might be actively making them disappear to keep a low profile. Most likely, they have a good mental manipulator on their side, making sure the families and quite possibly friends stay quiet about their friends or family going missing," I say while taking in a deep breath as I realize one thing
Someone is treating everything like a damn chessboard...there is no other explanation to it
The attacks on the many churches...the theft of the Excaliburs...information pointing to the blades being in Kuoh...a place where relatives of the Satans preside over...a group of Fallen Angels and Rogue Exorcists in the same city
One thing doesn't fit though...
What is Asia doing here?
What was the point of her being sent here at all?
I pass my hand through my hair as I bring out my phone and start dialing Griselda...
We are going to be in so much trouble, I just know it...

I strike down another Exorcist that tried to kill me
"Anyone recognize him?" I ask my team, and they shake their head as they look at the body
I frown at that
Another Rogue or an infiltrator...that makes him the 14th one
I look at the exorcist again and realize that it is a woman...how strange...she was really flat and her posterior did not do her any favors either...
I blink as my phone starts ringing
I look at the caller ID and motion for my team to proceed with the clean-up
"Adrian...," I answer, waiting for him to talk, curious and a bit scared as to why he is calling me on the emergency line
"Griselda...I need to tell you something..."He begins as a pit forms in my stomach as he starts to explain about where he and the other 2 are and the situation...at the end I just stare at the phone as Adrian calls out to me

"What a bunch of useless crap...these are all common ones and the only one mildy impressive is the Twice Critical of that damn pervert," Raynare says in anger commenting on the several Sacred Gears that they have collected over the past few months

Yet, no Fallen angels can use them...and the compatibility between the ones they have and the Rogue exorcists on their sides is abysmal, that is not even worth the effort of giving them to others
Raynare brings out a bracelet that appears to have been made from silver, but it isn't...it is also encrusted with purple jewels...
Raynare's key to being able to use a Sacred Gear like a human would...
