Rewrite
Inside the white corridor, Kaia, Lumen, and Ari stood before the living code—the root system of Eden.
It writhed, panicked. Fractured red alerts surged through it.
> "We don't need to destroy it," Kaia said.
"We just make it forget us," Lumen replied.
"And rewrite what comes after," Ari finished.
They reached out together.
Kaia re-coded the origin point, erasing Eden's birth from the timeline.
Lumen filtered the host memory, deleting every trace of Lex and Rhea.
Ari sealed the gate—permanently.
Outside, Lex clutched Rhea and Kaia as the world flickered. Sirens died. The air calmed.
Kaia looked up at them. "It's done."
Her eyes were just gold now. Still bright, still different—but only hers.
No signals.
No watchers.
Just peace.
Lumen faded from the mindspace, smiling. Free.
Ari turned to Kaia one last time.
> "You were the end of their system," he said.
"And the start of ours."
Then he disappeared—absorbed into silence.
Back in Bangkok, the sun rose. The servers underground melted down. Eden was gone.
Rhea held Lex's hand. "She saved us."
Lex nodded, staring at Kaia.
"No," he whispered. "They did."
