Before I was transferred, I was helped by someone, but without saying a single word, they immediately took me to an unknown place.
I felt confused about the place I was standing in, and it made my head hurt just thinking about it.
Rather than letting that person see my confusion…
But for some reason, I had this feeling—like someone was watching me.
"Hey, kid."
I hadn't even gotten a good look at my surroundings when he suddenly startled me. But this place felt like an empty void—or maybe it really was.
"Umm, if I may ask… who are you?"
"Who, me?"
"Oh, right, sorry—my bad. I forgot to introduce myself."
He removed his cloak and stood tall, speaking in a tone like someone my age… though honestly, he seemed kind of goofy.
"My name is Noah, the God."
I shook my head, feeling both confused and surprised that this person was actually a god.
I couldn't wrap my head around how a god could be like this, but even so, he seemed kind and a bit friendly. He wore an eyepatch that looked like cloth with a touch of gold.
Then, without wasting time, Noah placed his hand on my shoulder and said,
"Hey, little friend, would you like to be reincarnated?"
"Huh? Wait, what?!"
The situation suddenly became confusing when Noah asked me if I wanted to be reincarnated. This made me even more puzzled—and apparently, so were Noah's friends, who had been watching from the start.
Suddenly, from the distance, someone came rushing in and collided with me. I was thrown a short distance, and when I looked to see who had hit me—it was a girl wearing something like a music player headset.
She suddenly protested to Noah for wanting to reincarnate someone so casually.
"Hey, Lord Noah, you're doing this without thinking!"
"I know you're strong, but why him?!"
She shouted while pointing at me.
Noah tried to explain.
"Hey, wait a moment, Ren—"
Yep, the girl's name was Ren. She cut him off, grabbed my collar, and warned me with a stern voice.
"Hey… do you even know who you are here?"
"Uhh… yeah, I think I do…"
"Good. So then why—"
Before Ren could finish, Noah quickly pulled me away, knowing full well what would happen if Ren continued her sentence. He tried to explain while laughing nervously.
Meanwhile, I stayed silent, trying to grasp the situation. But then my eyes met Ren's—and she was clearly holding back her anger.
"Hey, Ren, calm down. I've thought this through, so don't worry."
"You're always like this…"
Just as Ren was about to say something else, Noah suddenly pulled her and pushed her toward me.
Ren was shocked by what Noah had done. Her face turned slightly red, and so did mine.
"Ugh, how shameless…"
"If that's the case, get up quickly. I can't breathe!"
Right away, Ren got up, her face red and a little embarrassed.
Then Noah turned to me and said:
"Hey, how about letting Ren go with you?"
I was surprised to hear that and clearly confused, but Ren cut in and shouted at Noah, still blushing.
"WHAT?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!"
Ignoring Ren's protest, Noah began preparing to reincarnate me—leaving both of us shocked and at a loss for words.
Suddenly, my body started to change—into a form based on a game character I had created. The name of that character was Haruka Nexus.
"My body—it's changing all of a sudden!"
In an instant, we were in a new and unfamiliar place. It was vast and green, and I felt sleepy almost immediately—wanting to rest. But that annoyed Ren, who shouted at me.
"HEY! DON'T JUST LIE AROUND!"
"WE DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE WE ARE!"
Then suddenly, the sound of an explosion came from not too far away.
BOOM
The two of us were confused but quickly rushed toward the source. As we moved, Ren noticed how agile and swift I was, and she wondered to herself, "Who is this guy?"
She shook off the thought and quickly followed me.
When we arrived, we saw what looked like bandits. Upon closer inspection, it was clear they were responsible for the destruction. There were three vehicles—two were badly damaged, and one was still half intact.
We also saw people being held hostage—five men, three women, and four children.
The number of bandits was seventeen: two were large-bodied, seven had weapons, two were mages, five were fighters, and one was the leader.
We assessed the situation, and I came up with a plan. But Ren responded coldly.
"I can handle this myself."
Without warning, Ren leapt from the cliff and struck one of the bandits.
"Heh, is that all?"
She didn't notice a bandit sneaking up behind her. Without thinking, I jumped from the cliff and landed on the bandit—crushing him instantly. The bandits panicked, and for the safety of the hostages, we quickly launched a coordinated attack, taking them down one by one until none were left alive—except for the leader.
We knocked out the bandit boss so we could interrogate him later. I tied him up tightly so he couldn't escape when he regained consciousness.
We freed the hostages, who thanked us gratefully. As a token of appreciation, they offered us gifts.
"Thank you for saving us."
"Without you, we would have been doomed."
"And we have a little something for you—please accept it."
Said an elderly man among the hostages. But I refused the gift, as I had helped them out of genuine goodwill.
This made everyone feel relieved and happy—they were grateful to have met someone kind.
Even Ren began to see me differently.
But then, suddenly—
Rrrrraaawwwww
We heard the roar of a monster from afar. When we checked, we saw a girl fighting a monster—and she looked exhausted.
Because of that, I quickly rushed in to help her.
