Kael didn't think twice and jumped to his side, even though he felt that the only safe zone was the tree. It simply gave him strange vibes, so Kael didn't trust his instincts.
He landed a short distance away and looked around but found nothing. The area was the same as before, and nothing was there that could have triggered his instincts.
'What the hell is happening?' Kael thought, glancing back at his teammates who were standing side by side, ready for any potential attacks.
'At least they've got brains, so I don't need to help them,' Kael thought, as he once again looked around and then stared at the tree.
It stood out from the other trees because of its color, but there was nothing else in particular about it.
'No, there is something strange about it. I felt danger, and the first thing I wanted to do was to get close to it, as if it would save me.'
