Chapter 83 - OPRS: Chapter 83

Heavy breathing filled the air.

The Shandorian warriors' chests burned with fervent passion.

They believed they would defeat the priests, the so-called god and Sky Islanders, and reclaim their homeland!

Gathering outside Upper Yard, they donned masks, secured their Wind Shells, and prepared their weapons—ready and resolute…

Today! Today!

They would reclaim their homeland!

"Let's go!" Wyper, descendant of Kalgara, the only one without a mask, holding a cigarette looted from a Blue Sea inhabitant, spoke calmly with intense presence.

"To reclaim our…"

A giant red balloon suddenly emerged from the clouds below.

This was a signal; more balloons appeared one after another.

One balloon was huge; thirty were overwhelming.

The Shandorians saw baskets and people below.

This was terrifying.

Where did this army come from?

Shandorians were known for their strength, often defeating ten opponents. The Sky Islanders only prevailed due to their numbers and occupation of the Shandorians' ancestral land.

Before Enel and his four priests arrived, the situation was one-sided: Gan Fall's forces were defeated by the new generation of Shandorian warriors.

Wyper's influence stemmed from his victories against Gan Fall; his strength was undeniable.

He was second only to Enel in strength on Skypiea.

His influence was immense; he stopped the Shandorians.

He wanted to attack the newcomers, but they were fully armed for something else.

As the Shandorians watched, a hand with a mouth appeared.

"Are you descendants of Kalgara, the Great Warrior?"

This single sentence made Wyper tremble.

A chill ran down his spine.

Knowing Kalgara, coming from the Blue Sea…

This confirmed his suspicions.

"We are Noland's descendants. If you are Kalgara's descendants, board the balloons!"

Over ten balloons had appeared, with more ascending.

Everyone looked at Wyper.

They knew who they were.

If they were Noland's descendants, they were trustworthy.

They could even be allies!

"Go! Into the baskets!"

Using their Wind Shells for propulsion, they quickly reached the clouds, gliding—even the priests could do this.

The Cloud Shells created a fast path to the balloon.

They assumed the strongest would be there.

They were right.

Alistair and his nine companions were in that basket.

Wyper landed on the basket's edge, causing it to tilt.

He crouched, his cigarette glowing, observing the curious, unguarded Blue Sea inhabitants.

He spotted the chestnut-haired man, looking weak and listless.

Altitude sickness and lack of oxygen had weakened him, but his chestnut hair matched the legends.

Trembling with excitement, he asked, "Are you Mont Blanc Cricket, descendant of the 'Great Benefactor' Noland?!"

Cricket, suppressing his discomfort, stood up slowly.

Tears streamed down his face.

Seeing Skypiea and the Shandorians proved his ancestor wasn't a liar…

Hearing "Great Benefactor" Noland, not "Great Liar" Noland, after four hundred years, from a stranger, brought him to tears.

His ancestor wasn't a liar!

"Forgive us!" The Shandorians boarded the balloon, weighing it down, but Wyper entered the basket, kneeling before Cricket, bowing deeply.

"This is an apology from Kalgara, four hundred years late…"

"We didn't trust you. Forgive us! Noland!"

His head hit the railing; tears flowed into the basket.

This was a four-hundred-year-late apology, haunting the Shandorians, Kalgara's descendants.

Today, it was finally delivered by Wyper.

All the Shandorians wept…
